We would have to give up opening a meridian, or progressing another art. I think it's much better to make universal progress here. We'll get the next level of Sable Crescent Step, be in spitting distance of both Zephyr's Breath and Forgotten Vale Melody, and will be a lock in for the pass, where we can grab one/two new arts.

Hmm, despite the aura damage of FVM, it is still not an attack art and more of a mook clearer or bleeder effect, and I suppose SCS's passive first attack is still the main thrust for defeating solo elite types. Might have something if we unlock SCS further, but I doubt it.
Also, Heijin has proven that FVM's mist can possibly be driven away by other arts. Interestingly, and fortunately, it does not seem like ZB's arts affect the FVM's mist significantly.

@TheLastOne If we get the pass, we should be getting a lot more than just a couple more arts. Formations, Medicine, information about spirits, all of it shall be ours. It is an extremely useful treasure trove.
I am unsure if not getting one of the arts were not a better idea.
For one we will be attacked week 13 and will need every advantage...
For another getting one art could be seen as mre preferable than nearly getting two by Elder Su.

Alright people, if we hit the next tier we'll be golden for Thunderdome. Two successes against most of our opponents, and we can beat up the creep. We can focus on shoring up our qi and arts once we're safe, and it'll be more efficient once we have Eight Phase Ceremony.

So another important thing to keep in mind from this update, Han Jian does not consider Ling Qi one of his people yet. This has some worrying implication on how much we can trust him to have our back come the Thunderdome and Ling Qi's place in the group.

Well, it might be better to say that it is a useful treasure trove, for those without resources or connections to substitute.
Cultivators with resources or connections might be able to substitute the pass simply by buying or asking for arts they want.
Of course, if they get an access pass, that means they can spend said resource and connection on other things, so that's not too say that the pass would be useless to such characters, but it is definitely far more useful to characters like Ling Qi, Su Ling, Li Suyin, and Ji Rong.
Actually, I think it is related to his home... Han Jian and co. are definitely not on the draft, and would return home as soon as they finish their studies, to take up responsibilities at home.
Ling Qi? She's from elsewhere, and if Han Jian knows about her lowly status, then he would also realize about her eight-year draft after the studies.
This basically marks her as an outsider to his mind, because Ling Qi does not have any loyalty to his home.

@notanautomaton You don't want to use the vent? If you used the vent you can save a spirit stone and get another +5 to the rolls.
One thing:
Eight Phase Ceremony needs yellow, not silver, your plan would still need a spiritual breakthrough before we can learn it.

This will make it much harder to get the pass, it will significantly weaken us on the short and mid term about Qi and Meridian as well as art, and the bonus from Silver, if we get it, won't make us much safer than if we were improving our art/qi.

You don't get extra individual rolls when you cultivate the same thing multiple times, you get bonus dice to your one roll, and those bonus dice are LESS then the dice you get for a full independent roll.
So it's both not a legal roll, and not a good use of resources.

Edit: to be more precise doing cultivation multiple times only procs a single roll

We can't use three red stones and the vent, and we aren't close enough to spiritual breakthrough to do that, and while we probably are close to physical breakthrough after next physical teacher round...
It's still a horrible idea.
We should also warn Meizhen that we are doing all the drugs this week.

Why? Isn't it basically a free action?
Anyway, vote wise I am trying to decide whether I should go with @Alectai's version where we actually train physical normally so we can reach peak Gold (but also get ZB3/SCS2), or my variant on @TheLastOne's version where we get 7 qi rolls (and ZB3/SCS2).
As a reminder, 7 qi Rolls = 33*7=231 dices + 21 bonus successes, which average to 148 successes, which average to getting 23 base Qi instead of 15 right now; so 8 more Qi, which gives us 31 Qi... and apparently only the monsters like Meizhen/Sun Liling have above 30 Qi currently.
I am tentatively for yours or thelastone's plan currently.

Yeah, I think raise our qi at the same time we raise our spirit will be the secret sauce here.

What are you talking about, I'm only using two stones
. I forgot the vent wasn't counted as a stone in plans.Also, it's a great idea. Getting Silver basically ensures our safety against anyone who doesn't have Silver, Yellow and an appropriate art, or both, it allows us to utterly roll over Huang Da since he doesn't seem to have a spiritual attack art, and it wins us the pass since Breaking Through is a Big Deal for cultivators that have been going for much longer than us. Literally the only problem with it is that it gambles a bit, and we have to take some risks anyways. It certainly helps us more than breaking 30 Qi does.
It brings us closer to getting Eight Phase Ceremony than the other plan though.
I am using the vent. Check the most recent iteration of the plan.

Keep in mind Elder su told us we should be fine with drugs now, so it's not that important.
Farther, other plan will almost certainly get more spiritual than yours.

Not quite. She said our bad reaction was because we weren't use to cultivator drugs, and that we would get over it. Not that we had.
