Forge of Destiny(Xianxia Quest)

Still waiting for the encounter which will propel her from mediocrity to excellence... A story about a solidly normal cultivator is somewhat unsatisfying, doesn't have to be OPM strenght but, well...

So FVM creates a total of -3 dice to other's defense pools. That's a pretty nice bonus.

Anyway, while I was thinking that we could go for silver, or other physical cultivation, if we want this to be a tea week a combination of training arts and meridians with sable pill would grant us a large quantity of qi. Just a though.

ah miscounted, one sec I had gone back and fixed the number of dice without changing the totals

Also, FVM will use your blank heart meridian on level up, my mistake there
Yeah, the same for this:
Talent 6, Lesson 4, Argent Soul 6, Suyin 2, Red Spirit Stone 5, Vent 5. 22 Dice

Weird thing is, you actually did roll the correct number of dices (28).

Also, @yrsillar, can you answer my question above Sash that was a bit above the update? The one on whether the +2 applies to things like the +2 defense buff and +2 defense penalties from Mist of the vale and Daiapson of lost traveller.

Considering we're a support focused cultivator with the least experience out of anyone here and we are still breaking even in the advanced combat class I wouldn't consider us normal.

It only applies when dice you roll, not to penalties applied to others.

These rolls though. Wow. Also, I didn't really expect us to level up FVM, but it's all good.

Given FVM will use another heart and we're going to need a heart for ZB's upgrade too, we should definitely open another heart, maybe even two, this upcoming turn.

I was correct, the night is dark and full of terrors.

It is dark. You are likely to be eaten by a grue.

The benefit of FVM's new attack seems less to do damage, and more to leverage the benefit of multiple attackers against pretty much every enemy in the mist. It's useful, but it's in no way a replacement for our knives.

Hmm, FVM did include attack powers, that's pretty good, but it does seem we were still right to focus on shoring up our weaknesses, as it's a very weak attack power and mostly set to bleed the other guy.
It's a AoE right? Given that, well, I think the attack power isn't weak. It's basically a slow bleeding of big enemy groups that also weakens them.
Good god what was with those rolls? Did we use up our luck for the next two months?
Yeah, those rolls were just plain ridiculous.

Not only did we level up FVM, but SCS got high enough we can get SCS2 in just one action.

Now, @yrsillar, I have questions related to planning. First, can we use the Tea to train Zephyr's Breath? Would make it within striking distance with two actions like that. Second, can we train it in Elder Su's class? I am mainly asking because I think mastering an art completely when she is present will impress her quite a bit.

So I don't think there's any real surprise how I think we should roll this week

[X] Plan do what we planned to do
-[X] Overflow for all cultivation directed first into Physical, and once Physical fills up into Spiritual.
-[X] Two Red Stone, 1 Sable Light Pills, 1 Gushing Spring Pills, 1 Qi Foundation Pill, 1 Channel Cleansing Pill, 1 Qi Expansion Pill, 1 Clear Wind Pill, 1 White Hart Elixir, Meizhen's Tea
-[X] Instructor Zhou Class (Locked-In)
--[x] Warn Gui Xuilian and Han Jian that we've doing all the drugs next week, and will be somewhat worst company for the week. Warn them if everything goes as planned we'll try to breakthrough to yellow next week, and silver the week after.
--[X] Cultivate Zephyr's Breath.
-[X] Elder Su's Class (Locked-In)
--[X] Open Spine Meridian
-[X] Go up to the vent to cultivate with Su Ling and Li Suyin
--[X] Warn them and Meizhen that we're going to be doing all the drugs this week, and apologize for our lack of personality for the next little while.
--[X] Apologise to Li Suyin about pressuring Her into training with the other group given how painful it seems to have been for her, and make it obvious our friendship is not conditional on her doing this.
--[X] Forgotten Vales Melody
-[X] Talk to Han Jian, he did mention wanting to do some training
--[X] Sable Crescent Step
-[X] Cultivate on your own
--[X] Open Heart Meridian.
--[X] Open Arms Meridian.
--[X] (Meizhen's Tea) Open Meridian Heart.

Wow, these rolls...

This said, I do not think we will get a pill next turn.
On the other side it will be a full blown pill week, so we should make a lot of progress.

We might break through into silver, were we to concentrate on that, but should we?

This said, it is basically confirmed that we are very much a target, and will be probably attacked at once in week 13.

Can I just point out that Heijin is adorable. Still interesting that he calls Ling Qi "Cold One" probably due to the whole Moon and Darkness thing compared to Gu Xiulan and her family being "the Burning Ones".

Doing our raise all our arts pill week does more to shore us up then breaking through would. That said, we definitely are trying to break through next week.

In order to break into silver, we would need to spend at least 3 actions, possibly four just to be safe. That would take most of our turn. I would rather go with @TheLastOne plans and use the sable pill, and combo it with the tea for maximum Qi rolls and chances to get the meridians open and arts learned.

I was going to do legs, but I think it's better to open another heart since we know we need two.

Looking good.

Wanted to suggest opening a spine merifdian, then I saw your tea action.

Won't vote for it just yet, let's discuss it a bit first, but I do like this plan.

Tea can be used for whatever, no active arts in Su's class though. Kinda hard to do in a lecture hall.

We shouldn't. It's losing 6 Base Qi and 3 meridians as well as making it hard to get pass compared to the current plan proposed above. I'm waiting a bit before seeing how to do the best kind of plan though, I want to find a way to try and get ZB3.

Doesn't this pretty much confirm that he's the noble character? Looks like he was a bit lax while he was at 'home' and is only now becoming more serious about training.

@TheLastOne how about this? This will doubt our roll for Zephyr's breath and get us to 57 dices (6+1+5 red spirit stones+ 5 sable light pill+ 6 pills+ 3 han+ 2 suyin)=28+29(tea+1)=57 dices, so average 31... and we need 31.
