At the moment I favor the blister, so we have more room for Science Toys and some Engineering Stuff on the side, but I also want to do something unusual with the nacelles so if we get clarification that an inline deflector is a prerequisite for doing so I intend to support that instead.

Oh, the things I missed out on last night and this morning; the great debates of chonker vs. ORB amused me. Being serious though, I am biased towards the traditional saucer and secondary/engineering hull paradigm. In this case though, I can see the value of the agruments being made to not go hogwild where it isn't needed. On the other side of things, the reduction in internal space from the inline deflector isn't appealing to me. So,

[X] Blister Forward Deflector (200,000 -> 220,000 Tons)

Later we should do a cool nacelle in my option Let's go with a single nacelle to do as it's possible is seen on a few ships mostly science ships and looks cool.

But for this vote either blister or inline

[X] Inline Deflector (-Internal Space)
[X] Blister Forward Deflector (200,000 -> 220,000 Tons)

Either of these are good.
And I know it's strange that after arguing for interior space so much I vote for a choice that reduces it, but I'm reasonably sure that it would still have way more internal space total than the sphere based on the size of the blister.
And, well, novel nacelle placements always going to be interesting.

[X] Inline Deflector (-Internal Space)

Very much worth remembering that we don't know how much it is going to lose. Probably not all of it and we will have option to mess with funky nacelle designs to reduce how much internal space it costs.

This is not a binary "So you lose all the internal space you got in the prior vote".

[X] Inline Deflector (-Internal Space)

I think we will have plenty of space for what we need in a survey ship, without trying to add more on. I have a feeling that this mission profile is one that rewards numbers of ships rather than individual capability beyond a certain point, and that we're likely past that point with the full-saucer hull.

Also, I want the Explorer to be the Maximum Chonk ship, not the surveyor.
Also:
This is a highly contentious vote.
No it isn't! You take that back! :p

I can tell this is gonna be close.

[X] Engineering Section (200,000 -> 260,000 Tons, +Internal Space)
More space, more Science

math
[X] Blister Forward Deflector (200,000 -> 220,000 Tons)
At least this one doesn't sacrifice our precious internal space.
