...So, there's one thing I'm not too clear on: Is the "Enchantment (Collegiate)" option for the storage mechanism component something that has to be Hysh-only, based on the thing Egrimm mentioned about such cantrips which lightly repulse Dhar?

I don't want to meet Boris.
I think that would be at the very best awkward, much more likely hurtful right now. More for him than us of course, but still.
We did what we thought necessary, but we don't have to gloat.

[X] Eike
[X] The Black Water Canal
[X] Eonir Tourism
[X] Kalishiniviks

These all seem like really solid options.
It'd be nice to get Eike's own perspective on this stuff after the thread's spent so long trying to extrapolate her position from the few details we've already got; the long-awaited Canal project's been in the background for ages, might as well finally see that getting finished up; I'm incredibly interested in watching the elves finally start to explore, and could definitely picture a handy elf-familiar LM being able to smooth over some wrinkles that pop up before they have a chance to escalate; and we've got a bit of an obligation to see the aftermath of our assassination through - the Tzar wasn't the only person that we threw under a bus to prevent civil war, here, just the most immediate.

And, on a related note:
[X] Tzar Boris Bokha

I waffled on this for a while. On one hand, having Mathilde attend and be a walking reminder of what he'd had to do sounds like a good way to make an already miserable event even worse for him. But if she doesn't, then he's going to have that painful debt hanging over his head for at the very least months until we finally find a good time to drop by again. It's probably best to get this all over with at once, plus it'll let him include what we end up asking for in the build-up that he's already going to be doing rather than make him pivot when he's already started laying foundations.

I assume he's getting the tributaries done when his duties allow it.
Social actions are not necessary for that to proceed.
Not that, the debt for the assassination, which Boris himself promised when he asked us. We could either spend it on something that isn't too troublesome for Kislev but also wouldn't be very high on Boris's priority list, or just tell him there is no debt. But until we address it one way or another, he'll have that hanging over his head.

I thought his cooperation with the tributaries and future waystone-project implementations was the reason for our work?

It can be said that the Waystone Project was part of the reason why Mathilde did it. But we're talking about Boris's perspective here, and from his perspective...
If you have a price, or your Order has a price, or your Emperor has a price, it will be paid."
...he owes us. We can't just leave this hanging over his head and expect him to be comfortable with not knowing when and how we're gonna cash in the blank check he offered us for the assassination of his father.

This needs to be talked about and resolved.

I'm pretty sure we can bring Eike since apprentices are a form of baggage.
No. What was said was that Mathilde could argue that Eike is baggage. Elves will then decide if they hold truck with that.

Odds are that they won´t and Eike will have to stay in Lothern for the three months of Mathilde murderizing the Shade clans.

As an aside, i do not believe bringing freshfaced apprentice into one of the biggest assassination and covert warfare murderzones on the planet where people kept killing each other for literal millenia and perfected the art of detecting ulgu is an idea thats in any was sensible. I don´t expect Mathilde to have an easy time there. As in, i do not believe a Grey Magister Lord will have an easy time surviving the environs. Why the fuck would you throw an apprentice into that.

I'm all for letting Eike run wild in Lothern for 3 months—she'll be what, 18 years old?—but Nagarythe? We waited this long to go because we didn't think Magister Mathilde was strong enough to survive there.

Count me in for bringing Eike to Lothern - it plays right into her interests and skills - but not to Nagarythe. There's a point when fighting Druchii invaders in the place they focus on most is a good learning experience, and Eike is not yet at that point imo. Far from it.

I want to bring Eike over to spend three months by herself in Lothern. Should be fun times for her.

Yeah, that i can agree with. Dropping Eike in Lothern is gucci. Trying to bring her to the actual Elfcation just seems like a way to get rid of apprentice we don´t actually like.
