Yeah, I had that tentatively penciled in for next turn rather than this one. It's useful, but not urgent, I think? It might also give different, better results after we go to Hugr 10, which should be next turn.

Can/should we put our owl on seawatch? Possibly in a rota with other people with birds so there are always eyes.
- @Imperial Fister, if we dedicate a decent amount of our time to it, like a crafting action or a lot of work dice, how many explosive boulders can we make and stockpile? I'm thinking a minefield would be good.
- We might want to expedite our research on Firestorm and try and develop a workable plan to use it to burn their ships at sea. However, this may be a bit premature given the number of variables involved.
- We could try and produce as much arms and armour as possible before the raid arrives. @Imperial Fister, could we develop a Skill Trick for making large quantities of Grand-tier equipment, or could that be handled narratively if we put an action towards it?
Can we hire Jurgen the troll as a mercenary? He seems to be a special kind of Troll and could be a valuable asset. Of course only if the raiders land at night.....
My understanding is that you can kill an outlaw without penalty, but you aren't obligated to do so. They fight a troll only if they have a reason to.
The boulders don't work as mines I don't think,, they need to be painted, and it wears off pretty quick under the circumstances. We were also warned not to use too many OOC.
I don't think our Firestorm would be the one used for this. Steinarr has Firestorm 6 so it seems like it'd be him if anyone. Assuming Logi or someone doesn't have even more.
I don't think we have time to do this for enough people to matter. Especially since we need to set up a trade deal first. It's not impossible but I'm dubious. If it does work, I'm up for switching the crafting action to that, though.
I think if we're explicitly trying to do batch-jobs at higher volume and good-but-not-masterwork quality, there must be some accomodation possible? Even if we need to research the skill trick for it in the same turn.
What I'd suggest is swapping the crafting action and the playdate over.
So... Deadman is going to amend this into the plan, I believe, and we can all picture the mental image of Abjornby turning into a giant smithy for a month and a half.
So, this all looks good, and I'm excited to see Abjornby become a giant forge for a month.
@DeadmanwalkingXI, there were only a few other thoughts I had regarding your plan:
-On the needle-binding research, I'm not sure we're replacing the weaving with needle-binding so much as reinforcing it? It depends how the "thread" formed by our Aspects is woven together, I suppose. There's also the idea of using thread or strings formed from Orthstirr or Odr for the needlebound reinforcement. I would include these, to hopefully raise our chances of stumbling across the right thing.
- It might be worth trying to Alloy our Flygia and Forgefire this turn? If it provides some kind of added bonus to what we get from Cindershoot, then that could be quite useful and could maybe feed into the crafting we're doing.
- We aren't continuing on ournresearch for the parent style of Time Stands Still, but given how busy we are this turn I think that's probably fine.
I'll take 3 dice for a tipOi, @Imperial Fister
I've got 6 reward dice and my brain is currently in a low REVELATION state, what would be the price range on getting some Useful Hints for Saga Expansion?
Not to sound like a know it all, but it's usually pretty standard to have 3 parts to a Realm. Usually it goes [Realm] Establishment, Expansion, and Refining. The fact it's expanded to three sub-stages kind of came as a bit of a shock.
We still need actual ideas for how we are to research this. IF's response was 'How?' and we haven't really answered it yet.
You got it!
