No, don't invoke a god where it isn't needed, not while doing dubious magic, and not with the other stuff we've done.
At least we didn't literally name it after ourselves.
Melkoth.
No, we only did that with the MMAP.At least we didn't literally name it after ourselves.

The Dammerlichtreiter Battle Magic is a fairly minor bit of self-aggrandisement. It relies on the reader knowing all of: the details of a fairly obscure Stirland legend from a decade ago, and that that figure is actually the Spymaster of Stirland and that the Spymaster of Stirland at the time was Mathilde Weber and that they know Grey College Battlemagic.
The overlap of that Euler diagram is less than a dozen people at most, and will get smaller as time goes on and the legend gets ever more obscure.
Morr knows our work putting down vampires and the dead and getting the K8P ossuary set up, we're cool. 😎
'The Dammerlichtreiter rides forth.'We haven't actually named it yet. With this thread, I think its a 50/50.
Question, for boney: where exactly are boud apparitions kept when not Giving Someone The Business? What do they do there?
They're bound to the Wizard's soul and kept dormant. The spell manifests and commands them. So it's sort of a summoning, in that it's transferring it from the Warp to reality, but sort of not, in that what it's summoning is already present.
To be fair, I think the legend is getting more mainstream, not more obscure. Merchandising is a hell of a thing! The Dammerlichtreiter Battle Magic is a fairly minor bit of self-aggrandisement. Is there any kind of magical/metaphysical/theonarrative resonance between the stories told of a folk hero and the actual factual warp being that bears the heros likeness?
The other half of it is that I don't think a lot of us are taking it for the "Self-aggrandisement" or pun factor but because we want to see if anything noteworthy will come of wrapping an apparition in a legend. The Dammerlichtreiter Battle Magic is a fairly minor bit of self-aggrandisement. He doesn't need it per say. He has been studying blind for years now. I am sure that he could use audio in a methodical way.I don't care about the apparition spell so I will not be voting for that. As far as Sevirscope goes, I'm pretty sure that Auditory would be better, but this is supposed to be a gift for Kragg who needs the visual for this.
[X] [SEVIROSCOPE] Visual
I'd actually vote for that.Yarkhazhunki (Duskrider in Khazalid)
Why is this one battle magic titled in Khazalid? Ask the codifier.
