Can we please wait until after giving birth? If we dont give birth before dying it would be a game over.

[X] Answer him honestly, like a loyal daughter should, and hope that you can keep him from making a rash decision (Hugr (Silver-Tongue))
-[X] Between Asveig begging you not to tell him, the Seeress saying it would lead to ruin, and at every turn being told 'It would end poorly', you held your tongue and sought to find a way to manage it. It was only on the Raid that you learned the truth of the matter, and only then that you learned of the enchantment that bound the tongues of those who knew better--and by then, Father was already under the spell that you and your company had just broken. Your enemy was kin to half the valley, hiding behind their aegis while working their dark crafts, a sorcerer who has delved deep into forbidden arts pulled from the depths of the earth. Shielded by some spell that deflected the attentions of any who would know the truth of the matter and saw their words twisted away from exposing him, it was only now that you had a path to see his shield breached, to know what needed to be done to cast down the protection that would see his killers run down by the best and mightiest of the valley. It was only now that you learned of the warrior he was crafting, to turn against you all--an expert wielding the power of Water, strong enough to erode a stone troll in moments. And you still needed to discover the place where he worked his darkest arts, in order to see him cast beyond the Law, and exposed to our righteous vengeance.

For the enemy was none other than Horra Hasvisson, nemesis of your line, and you would not see Father stand alone against him.

@Imperial Fister , I am spending both of my reward dice to rig this check.

I was writing something, but this is the same thing only likely phrased better. Maybe throw in a mention of who the Seeress is? I don't think Steinarr actually knows she's the mother of his brothers who Horra killed...that probably doesn't need to be in the vote, though.

When it comes to convincing steinarr appeal to emotion not reason and say something along the lines of "wait until im not pregnant and we can destroy him together as a family"

That's kind of the idea here. "I'm not seeing you stand alone against him this time" Gives us next turn to prepare, get the murderkittens ready to go, and then make our move. It should be good to go on Winter Turn 3 I think? Or at least most of the way through it.

-[X] Horra familial ties to most families, practically all that didn't move in recently
--[X] If we kill him now, before proving his crimes to get him outlawed again, the families that can't stand him will still be forced to avenge him.
---[X] That would endanger all Steinarr holds dear and risk Horra leaving behind an heir that continues his crimes
-[X] We were warned of this, both by Aki who could only see that there was something wrong with telling too early, and a Seeress that had children with Blackhand, all the children were murdered by Horra, she wants him dead as much as Steinarr, but knows we must be careful to do it right!
-[X] rash action would lead to stepping into traps Horra laid.
-[X] "I can't let you go alone, but I also can't go while carrying my children. Please wait until I can stand beside you!"
-[X] what @Alectai wrote in post #8430

We probably need a little more time than that...but I suspect how long he gives us is more based on number of successes than anything else.

The more time we get, the better. But we should at least have our basic readiness good to go by Winter 3

Anyone who wants to contribute to the rigging? At least aside from a reserve for the Murderkittens, the time is now, this may very well be one of the most pivotal rolls of the game so far.

We're really not. We can only do one Visit per season (and just did one) and stalking Horra to find evidence definitely counts...I also think we don't give birth until Winter 3, though that's a bit unclear. Summer 1 and 2 now, that's a different matter entirely. We might well be ready by then.

@Imperial Fister what turn do we give birth?

Yeah...I'm very tempted. It's either this or the birth, but I'm still deciding which at the moment.

So find out where the wood smell location is then? Something that Abjorn or Steinarr can sniff out. While Halla has her Owl watch for Horra heading towards wherever he works his magic, which Horra will do now that his latest scheme was thwarted.

You give birth at the end of the year, so turn 3. That's when all children are born, simply because fuck me I'm not keeping track of all that.

In this particular case, that's almost exactly 9 months from when we got pregnant (the middle of Summer 2) anyway, so it works out well.

So find out where the wood smell location is then? Something that Abjorn or Steinarr can sniff out. While Halla has her Owl watch for Horra heading towards wherever he works his magic, which Horra will do now that his latest scheme was thwarted.

I mean, following Horra and finding his ritual site is 100% the plan...but that's a Visit, which means we can't do it until Summer, and even if it didn't mean that, we still want to wait to do something that dangerous until after giving birth, I think.

Or the wizard owl is good at collecting things so have it fly around the land collecting wood branches for Abjorn to smell in a game of hunt the thimble for Horra's magic hidey-hole.

...So, is the plan to get enough evidence to have him officially Outlawed beforehand, or are we just going to march to his hideout, kill him, and then point to all the Nid parapenalia around as evidence after the fact?
