[X] plan Get some debt!
-[X] (Fylgja) Take it (3oz)(Abjorn gets a Fylgja)
--[X] pay by taking debt stick
-[X] (Stigandr) Pay with Silver (6oz)
--[X] (Optional) Double it to get a breakdown of what's happening (12oz)
---[X] pay by taking all as debt stick, Decent Tools (2 1/2 ounces silver) and Arm Ring (5 ounces silver), plus 1 1/2 ounces silver as collateral

is this ok?

There is always the option of him not using his fylgja except for its passive abilities.
As I understand it, once you fylgja is unveiled, it becomes a vulnerability because killing it kills you

Generally all these animals are going to be less productive than modern versions because they are lacking more than a thousand years of selective breeding
About that ...
The year, by the reckoning of the followers of Christ, is 8970 AD
I don't know how much Imperial Fister wants to deal with the impact of Xianxia timescales on animal husbandry, but there's actually a good chance farm animals are ridiculous super-breeds. And that's before getting into the influence of the actual magic in the setting.

'Speaking of Standstill,' Blackhand starts, more lessons on his tongue, 'my knowledge of it may be incomplete, but I haven't heard-nor-seen any Alloys made from it. I believe this is because Alloying doesn't work when the resulting hugareida is antithetical to one of the comprising hugareida. An example of this is Fire and Ice, which creates Water, which extinguishes Fire.'

"And Standstill doesn't play nicely with other hugareida..." You frown. That does put a knot in your plans.
I can think of one that could work if it's possible to lean more to the underlying themes of our Muna rather their hugareida expressions: hearthfire, the fire of staying safe and warm and cozy and protected with your loved ones. The fire that doesn't want to change.

Wouldn't it be more likely that Abjorns Fylgja will be a bear?

Like no offense but mechanically a dog just doesn't fit Abjorn what with it helping tracking which really doesn't seem like a skill Abjorn would have at a high level.

Unlocking your fylgja and unveiling it are two different things. You don't have to keep your fylgja permanently unveiled to benefit from its effects, although you'd lose out on the extra manpower a fylgjur can provide in combat (In our case, our owl is way too fragile and doesn't have anything that can really contribute to combat besides its natural capabilities, which aren't very impressive).

yeah I always saw the drawback of fylgja unlocking is that it influences you a bit, interceptor Fylgja? you are gonna intercept more often now even if its not a good idea.

This is only an issue if you manifest it physically, which you can always just, y'know, not do that. It's dangerous because people get tempted to do that, not because they're forced to.

This is plausible, but it doesn't seem to have hit how many babies they have in cattle (the cow is only having one calf, after all), so I doubt it's increased that in other animals either. They may well be bigger and healthier (in fact, the cattle provide 12 Food when slaughtered, enough to feed two people for a year with no other food...that's a lot of cow) and provide more milk (2 Food worth per turn is a lot...probably on par with dedicated modern dairy cows, who produce a lot more than most other cows), and may live longer and similar things, but all those would likely be comparable among different species.

Which is to say they may well be enhanced in various ways, but that's covered by the system stuff, and their breeding rate does not seem to be among the ways in which they are improved.

You're thinking of Campfire and I'm doubtful. Blackhand knows fire like nobody else, if any Fire hugareida could alloy with Standstill he'd be the guy to know, but he tells us it doesn't.

That said, we should grab Campfire and ask. Maybe we can talk to Sten about getting it as a personal action during the raid turns? He's gonna be along and I suspect he has it (given that it's the Fire Hugareida that would aid in crafting). We do want Campfire anyway, and I'm curious how it would alloy with Ignite.

Hound doesn't give enhanced senses, it doubles Intercept dice allowing better protection of other people. It seems pretty appropriate (though so does Bear).

A fire that stops consuming fuel is an extinguished one though

Well, thats what I get for being buried under updates.

So, planning is culturally accepted?
Good.
I assume though, luring people into traps is Nid... *Sigh*

Hm.... If a dead fyjgla wouldn't mean a dead viking, I would send in our owl for a look around..
But I guess it's still possible to make safely, in stealth mode, at night?

Can't wait for spirit talk/telepathy lessons though.

Shouldn't we also vote to leave the Fyjgla, for now?

Edit:
[X] (Fylgja) Leave it

The only alloy I can think of involving fire and Standstill would be something like embers. Fire that has come to a stop, it retains its heat but it no longer dances eager for more.
