Voting is now opened. I got distracted with my new hawaiian t-shirt
@mperial Fister Now that Halla knows how to reveal fylgas, will we get to vote on them at the start for every new character?
When they're revealed, yes.@Imperial Fister Now that Halla knows how to reveal fylgas, will we get to vote on them at the start for every new character?
4-5 is pretty average. Most people are gonna have around 3, though, simply because of a lack of time and half the population being 15 or under.By the way, @Imperial Fister, what's the average weapon rank of an adult? Like, does your average warrior have a 5 in axe proficiency?

I'll be honest and ask do we really need the poetry skill that much? Cause seriously our luck with that skill is sorta garbage
yes? our reputation directly affects how many magical biggatons we can bring to bear in a fight, so learning the traditional method of hyping up our friends is really useful. Especially since Trick attacks seem to trump non-Trick defenses in general, so running out of Orthstirr in a fight is really dangerous.I'll be honest and ask do we really need the poetry skill that much? One of the things in hugr that you don't know yet.
The snake is oft a symbol of Loki, Giant, Blood-Brother to Odin and God of Fire, Lies and Mischief. (The order is important there. I've always felt that folks forget Loki was just as much a metaphor for how those earlier cultures conceptualized fire as he is a god of lies.)Dad there is no love for snake, but oh well, let's go for it another time.
From what little I remember, Loki got the short end every time, even though he just did what was asked of.The snake is oft a symbol of Loki, Giant, Blood-Brother to Odin and God of Fire, Lies and Mischief. No self-respecting Vikigr would want Their attention.
Sure it could be good-- but like fire, you're more often burned then warmed when he turns your way. Loki is a tool, one Odin uses to fix problems or to cause them, and when it comes to Mortals and Loki, it's best to invoke him carefully and without drawing his attention, or worse, his interest
We're already done with that vote. Check the latest update.[X] Go to Jurgdby, court Stigrun
If you don't take chances, who knows what you could have done? Especially in a world where the rules work like this one does. I say we encourage him to chase a dream or possibility, and Stigurn seems to be a good potential wife (playing matchmaker as a 21st century native feels silly and weird lol) but if it doesn't work out it is not the end of the world.
Those successes on the wheat field is interesting, did they perhaps protect our farm from whatever that commotion was? And I worry about our pops heading to war. Hopefully sparring with his daughter has kept his skills up.
Utter shame about poetry lol. We're finally equal as a warrior to most fit men but we have no gravitas to go along with it lmfao. Hopfully it gets better. Here's to good rolls and may fate love us!
[X] Fylgja Unveiling
Oh and for the witch, probably just find out our "magic" stat is.
One thing that you've gotta keep in mind when dealing with Norse mythology is that they very much are not Greek. The Norse gods don't really have 'domains' like the Greek do and they're far more 'human', to boot — though viewing them through modern sensibilities might make me a liar, there. They're more or less just people who happen to be immortal and are very good at different things, so you ask them to help you with it, akin to asking your older brother to help you beat a difficult level in a video game. But I will take your word for it, as I read the Norse mythology even less than the Greek one.
