I say we deploy Perseus and the Argonauts. We can do that, it will just delay the Argonauts training by a turn. I also think we should wait one turn on Blue September
If Basarin gives us an option too, We can build the second Dropship in a turn. And I am waiting for Basarin to return and answer our questions before making a plan, If Basarin allows it I plan on sending both the Perseus and the Thunderhawk with a TMU squadron to the Yukimura institute while sending Callaghan and his robot along with a squadron of Seekers plus Ichiro if possible to help Erika.
Me, I have brought it up multiple times that we need anther Pegasus Class Dropship for our second platoon which is supposed to be the Perseus plus its supporting units. What? Who talked about building second dropship? And even if we had the option building an already predesigned robot or support unit takes two turns so it wouldn't finish in time regardless. According to Basarin deployment options in the update Callaghan is still unavailable this turn (though this may be a mistake); and finally why the hell do we need to rush both deployments this turn when Basarin explicitly notes we have a month's grace period?
Here is my plan suggestions for the upcoming operation depending on what the GM says.
[] Kyoto - Yukimura Institute Plan if Basarin allows another Super Robot to take the place of the combination unit.- [] Perseus - Tellison/Zhang
- [] Thunderhawk - Jessica
- [] TMU Squadron.
- Urgency - IMMINENT
[] Kyoto - Yukimura Institute Plan if Basarin does not allow it.
- [] Perseus - Tellison/Zhang
- [] TMU Squadrons.
- Urgency - IMMINENT[] Australia - Blue September Plan if sending Ichiro along with Beowulf
- [] Beowulf
- [] Ichiro Banner
- [] Half seeker squadron, Reduced to make room for Ichiro.
- Urgency - Moderate (Estimated 1-3 Turns)
[] Australia - Blue September Plan if not sending Ichiro.
- [] Beowulf
- [] Seeker Squadron.
- Urgency - Moderate (Estimated 1-3 Turns)
Somewhere between "get it over with" and "get them before things get worse" at a guess. That's my reasoning, at least. You still haven't answered the question of why should we rush both deployments this turn despite explicitly having a month to pace them.
I'm not rushing Erika's reinforcement group. Its November and Beowulf is still being repaired. Her team is going to leave once certain events happen and hopefully a second Dropship can be built, The Yukimura Team is the group that is being rushed. Its also why I am hoping that Basarin allows us to send both the Perseus and the Thunderhawk to Japan since they would work well together. You still haven't answered the question of why should we rush both deployments this turn despite explicitly having a month to pace them.

Argonauts are still green and putting them in the field is a last resort only option. I am rushing the Kyoto group but holding off on the Blue September op until we can send proper units to help. IE the Beowulf and its group in a Shepard Dropship that we rush build or use the first one once it returns from Japan. We have a one turn grace period that not only allows us to send better support units and have the Pegasus as support for both deployments, it also doesn't screw with the pacing by having two battles back to back.
Then I'm very confused because if so why not send the Seekers this turn and the Argonauts the next? Or do you mean that you 'only' rush the Kyoto group? Because the latter is just semantics.

Two questions @Basarin:
1) When the Sledder action finishes do we still need to prototype/build the unit or will we get it ready for a fight next month? Or is it success dependent?
2) If the Build action finishes this turn does it meant we can use it for this turn deployment or not? (I assume not but I wanna make sure).
Is that a thing we can do @Basarin ? Is a SR Refit a 2 turn action so we'd be able to deploy Jessica at the end of next turn?
crazy thought but, would it be possible to send both Tellison/Zhang and jessica with their super robot's plus the TMU formation while sending the Seeker Squadron with Ichiro to help Erika?
Sorry forgot to tag Basarin again,
@Basarin would it be possible to send both the Perseus and Thunderhawkbolt plus their pilots to Japan?
Honestly, having it pointed out that we can put the Blue September deployment off a bit lowers its priority in my eyes. Of course, helping Yukimura is still on my to-do-now list (and I still think the Perseus is the best choice for the mission due to being better at coordinating units), because we want to be SURE that Mercury V is still functional, instead of just hoping it wins.
Incidentally, @Basarin, what restrictions, if any, are there on underwater deployment (as has repeatedly been implied by the Westphalians' usage of submarines)?
Well, guess we gotta get our hands on some submarines for our Engineering guys to work their wonders on then. ...though on second thought that might compromise their seaworthiness... giant robots are hard. Not really an option. Themerchandising department hasn't released any underwater model toysresearch options haven't really leaned that way.
(Actually @Basarin, should Katrina be locked to triple combination or not?)
You're forgetting what you want Zulu to do with the crystals.
