Which is perfectly fine. I'd just like to know why. Both why in general and especially why now. Not as an attack on your choice, but out of genuine curiosity, because I just don't understand what makes them more appealing than, say, the Skaven stuff.

Edit: If your answer is "I just like them" then I'll stop pestering you.

I like lizards, so why not vote lizards?
Why would skaven stuff be more interesting than lizards?

Scientific progress.
Seeing our projects that we gave up come to fruition.
Variety of of items means variety of results and narrative.
Potential practical applications in the future that we can either witness or facilitate.
Witnessing another blow against the Skaven enemy.
Getting to see some more cool Skaven world-building.

Those are my personal and subjective reasons.
I'm not doubting that there are some compelling personal reasons to prefer seeing the Salamanders. I just can't come up with any. And that might be in part because I know too little about Lustria lore or haven't played video or board games where Salamanders are totally rocking it, thus missing out on the appeal.

Gold college is perfectly capable of doing all of that without our input, the whole point in the trade was that they were actually better equipped to do so with or without us than we were.

But on the other hand, nobody is more capable of having Mathilde go stare at some lizards than us.

I don't think Eike should be visited at the very start of her college experience. I might be wrong though. I can see arguments for both sides, but in the end having a LM attending to an initiate seems like the kind of thing that would draw attention. On the other hand, it's the greys. Mat is fully capable on visiting unnoticed.

Let's see if they've made made progress on the gas masks, and using Azyr as a source of electricity. I'm hoping that they'll use the vat to work on a miniaturization of the Blue Tower. Pipe dream would be Tesla Coils, but that might not happen in our lifetime.
 
I feel like it's too early to go to Karak Vlag. Hit them up next turn. Voting for Gretel and Adela because this might be the last chance to touch base with them. And voting for war against Sylvania because it's been a while since we checked on that.

Beyond that, the duel promises to be interesting and anything to do with the Eonir has suddenly become much, much more important, and this is probably the only chance to help influence the selection of the next Loremaster.

Yeah, I know I chose 5 6 and only 4 can win, but I'm voting for Gretel and Adela more out of principle than because I think they have a chance.

Mathy: its Prison rules, find the biggest, oldest, most magically powerful group of girls in the yard... and then give them puppy dog eyes while saying how cool they are. all young wizards are attention-starved to one point or another and you're adorable in that polite and posh, but smol way, you will be adopted on the spot.

I usually vote for the follow-ups in the hopes of closing the book on them, but there's too much time-sensitive stuff this round.

Also, I can see the utility of getting some insight into the Eonir before moving in. Know where the friction points are to avoid rubbing them.
