If it's as common as the update implies then I'm pretty sure Wilhelmina would already be aware of the possibility, and anyway what we're voting on isn't just "information we provide," it's "what does Mathilde advocate." A vote for Neutral should already cover dampeners as an option receiving no special favor or derision.

Hubert's issue is a bit weird, because he's very well suited for the elemental aspects of his wind, but his collage only cares about the mystical aspects. He was a bad fit for the collage culture, not a bad fit for the wind itself.

and here is my priority list for this descision: What would make Eike happiest.
A vague liking for horses does not strike me as the be all and end all of personal happiness. It is just barely more than arguing that Mathy should have been an Amber because she made a toy horse neigh.

Not only are there Ghur administrators and presumeably even merchants out there, the EIC is already designed to withstand one member sitting around basically doing nothing because it's literally illegal for her to earn money.
Besides, if Eike would be happier chasing winds incompatible with the EIC, chances are she wouldn't be too good for it aanyways.

Remember guys that how much Mathilde will suggest roughly depends on their relative votes. So if you want more than one option go be presented, don't harp on the Grey Order too much even if it is your favorite. At least not as long as it is comfortably in the lead.

I mean, Matty has admitted she probably wouldn't have been displeased with Ghur, alongside Chamon and Ghyan
Which again is why I want to try for 'Right of refusal', since I think the bigger sticking point is that we don't want to hurt Eike by forcing her into a wind she actively dislikes. She will probably like or enjoy multiple winds, possibly including Ulgu.
It's also why i really really hope she does like Ulgu and is our apprentice, because we can make sure that she gets through this okay and try to ensure she follows a path that balances all this with what she wants out of life.
