Question ... do we have any reason to believe the crown isn't already in Vlag?

This isn't any other Lost Hold. No one was driven out by enemies. The hold, with it's whole population, was just thrown into another dimension.

Presumably, the ruler and the crown and all that stuff would still be there .... right?
Maybe the waystone network is still blocked/disconnected, so no signal?

Our fault really.

I just remembered something that might be relevant to the protector

@BoneyM when discussing the Za Goblet you said Kislev had some of their treasures sent for safe keeping in Karak Vlag, haveing recovered the hold we also presumably recovered its vaults and the Kislevite's stuff. Is that straightforward enough for the Protector to proc?

Retrieving stolen goods definitely does not proc a Ranaldian blessing.

Someone brought up that the Runesmiths probably died out and whoever was left had to restart trying to learn runes from scratch. Let me see if I cant...

Should be noted that this is only speculation at this point. Might well be that the Runesmiths just aren't as respected anymore in Karak Vlag because they failed to do anything to counter the whole "dropped into the Aethyr" thing that happened to their city, which should be their job. We'll learn more should we survive the expedition, I am sure.

We'll find out if we ask later on yeah. Idk, I feel like they used 'Rune-Poker' weirdly. Like they don't make Runes anymore.

Religious, though? I imagine Ranald would support a judicious amount of slave emancipation and revolt. Sounds more like something he'd reward action for than punish for inaction though.

Might be fun on the way back?

Get as many daggers as we can before hand, pop into Skaven town pretending to be from Eshin, tell them we'll blow up Chaos Dwarf Hellcannon factory at noon tomorrow, giving them an opening for a raid, pass out daggers to all the slaves in Dwarf town while under diguise and telling them to make a run for it once they hear the explosion, maybe undo some locks, and blow a factory .... could be workable.

Might need Night Prowler active though.

Talking to these 3 after Vlag is need I think to have their opinion about it and to prepare if Dum is not as succesfull by giving the offer to Gotrek.

Next I think is the light Choir, because we are still responsable for the Wizards expedition and we need to mitigate the problem before we are in the Chaos Waste.

And last Uzkulak to have informations on Dum, the Tzeench chaos band, and of course to buy books and plot-hook. Maybe we can even put the city on fire before leaving.

When this is all over and whoever is in charge of Vlag is convinced this isn't all a dream we're almost certainly going to get a Transcendent-level boon from Vlag for our part in this.
Hopefully this will happens in our lifetime. This seems to be the same guys who will wait for 40 years. Just in case it is a trick.

If we do visit the Chaos Dwarves, it might be a good oppurtunity to expand our library, pick up some chaos dwarf texts on engineering, history, magic, romance, warfare, etc. I'd imagine that the CD have some unique, if horrible, insights in regards to those topics you cant find with the dawi.
Bookhunting never been so dangerous before.

Anything those guys make need to be inspected by a team of engineers to make sure it is not a chaos plot.

I think we all just need to come clean with the fact that the only reason Mathilde wants to go to Uzkulak is to peruse their bookshelves. I mean where else are we going to be able to get Chaos Dwarf Romance books to add to her private shelf? The bonuses from Extensive and Esoteric could be vital!

Thanks for upgrade.

It turned out to be miles better than I expected!

Guys, I know it's tempting, but let's not? We just fought the Tempter's forces, after all.

@BoneyM, I wanted to ask for some time - do dwarves compose songs/sagas about Slayers finding mighty doom or does Slayers' shame prevent them from doing so?

Very rarely. The idea is that their death is supposed to erase their shame, being immortalized would go against their wishes. They only get the saga treatment if their death is impressive enough to catapult them out of whatever honour deficit they believe they have and into glory.
