I'm not sure that human heroes do age slower than normal. Magisters apparently do, but they're special.

I think we're looking at her looking more like twenty plus years younger.

There's a thought, do priests age slower? Not all of them obviously but the most powerful. If what makes mages age slower is the winds transforming them then wouldn't a Chosen of the Gods' constant channeling of his patron's lore also slow old age.

[X] Roswita, as she tries to wrap her head around the influx of Battle Wizards.
[X] Roswita, to present her with a copy of the book her late father contributed to.

I'd like to see at least one of these happen. Kind of fun to be slowly changing her opinion.

[X] Empress 'Heidi', to see if you can snatch a private moment to speak honestly with her.

Because we have got to know what's going on here.

[X] Anton, to see how his firearm factory is going.
[X] Wilhelmina, to see how she's going when she's not a terrifying financial juggernaut.

Hanging out with old friends because of course we would.

First, again, being the Emperor is not actually that big of a deal. It's prestigious, sure, and you are technically in command of the whole of the Empire, but your actual authority outside of your province is very much limited. Second, like I said before, heir being elected is not an assured thing, merely a likely one. There's always grudges, ambitions, changes in politicking, a heir being unfit and so on, so there's always a chance for the position to change - not a huge one, but that suits the Electors fine, because they keep getting favors from the sitting Emperor as long as uncertainty remains. Third, trying to make Elector-Counts just Counts is exactly kind of overreach that would see everyone uniting and rejecting the change, so Electors are obviously not very worried about the Emperor attempting that.

Ask the Elector Count of Nordland, formerly Prince of Marienberg, how little ability Emperors have to thoroughly ruin your day...

I made all the Loremaster and dragonbone votes go into a single category so we could see how the social vote is coming without distraction.

Currently the top 5 are Heidi (97), Kragg (83), Roswita/book version (78), Roswita/Battle Wizard version (53), and Anton and Karak Kadrin (tied at 47). Edda and Kasmir are the significant runners-up, with 32 and 25.

I want something with Roswita. Will probably return and remove whichever isn't winning, because there are too many choices to go double on little Rose.
Just as a heads-up, we're doubling up Roswita at the moment.
[X] Plan Friendly Neighborhood Grey Wizard Knight
-[X] Kragg the Grim, who you could likely convince to start gloating.
-[X] Karak Kadrin, presenting them with the skull of an old enemy (but not to keep).
-[X] Roswita, to present her with a copy of the book her late father contributed to.
-[X] Empress 'Heidi', to see if you can snatch a private moment to speak honestly with her.
-[X] Anton, to see how his firearm factory is going.
This isn't being done with plan voting, your votes aren't being counted like this -- they're off in a category of their own at the bottom.
[Xx] Kragg the Grim, who you could likely convince to start gloating.
You have a typo here that is preventing your vote from being counted.

Yes. 2 for wood, 5 for properly-prepared metal from the Gold Order, 10 for rolling the dice on more exotic stuff. But it would quite likely take some trial and error to actually make the staff.
To clarify, is that '2 favours gets you enough wood for one attempt at a staff, if you fail spend 2 per attempt', or '2 favours gets you enough to keep up the trial and error for a few actions'?
How rare is staff-worthy wood? Is it comparable to finding a familiar in difficulty, or easier/harder?

The favours get you one staff worth. Failing an attempt badly wastes the materials.
For Ulgu, fairly difficult for anyone but the Jade Order, who know trees better than anyone.

Yes, leaving the authority of the Empire is not very hard. I'm not sure how that's supposed to worry Elector-Counts that Emperor's authority is dangerous for their independence.
If Emperor is not a big deal, who gives a shit if somebody became his wife and us trying to make friends with said wife?
Not getting what are you trying to say here.

Which is actually as good reason as any to go to sleep, so I won't be able to continue that debate for some time.

It was not necessarily instant between Gabriell A getting ganked and Gabriell B taking her place. It could have been a few years before "Heidi" found out about the opportunity and there must have been some time for the countess's courtiers to forget some details/ get desperate enough for someone to take the place that they'd overlook them.

As far as pregnancy goes, she can be well under 40 and the Imperial Consort has Jade wizards in her rolodex by definition.

Probably Johann. I mean his body is gold, he can't be far off.

I'm not sure that his body is gold, rather than conceptually perfected gold coloured flesh.

We'd be able to do prototypes with conventional material though to get a design together before using our Big Spender thing, right?

(Also, 'Rolling the dice on exotic stuff', since we're spending Favors, we can be reasonably sure it'll be something a Grey Wizard can use, and the dice would be just determining what specific exotic treasure we get out of it, which would determine what we can do with it? Or is it 10 dice for a roll on a gacha that might not even be useful for us?)

The wiki is suspect of course, but as far as I can tell from it, Nordland never actually ruled Marienburg in any capacity, they just had dynastic claims on it from when it still had a Baron.

As far as I can tell, Marienburg has been a full province of the Empire since at least Magnus the Pious.

What did you roll for them? Can you share what some other results would've been like?

I'm not giving you a cheat sheet for the opinions and biases of the most important and powerful people in the Empire.

The former.
