Do Dwarven steamships count? If so, oops.
Yes, compared to steel it might as well be unbreakable, and so can take much stronger runes. There's a reason warriors who wear Gromril are called Ironbreakers, and it's not because iron causes them to break.Okay, sell me on "who cares". Is a gromil sword going to be mechanically different and if so by how much?
The Library vote is currently very close to being won by No Purchase, so if you have any interest in buying a significant number of books please do not split the vote like this. I know there's still no shortage of time to swing it but it's just not worth the risk unless you have a very compelling reason for the changes made and as far as I can tell you don't.[X] [LIBRARY] Imperial Texts: Extensive/Esoteric Skaven, Extensive Skaven Magic, Extensive Greenskin Magic, Antiquarian Grey Magic (2 College Favor), Extensive Amber Magic, Extensive/Esoteric Romance Novels, Extensive/Esoteric Linguistics, Extensive Warpstone, Extensive Morr, Extensive Karaz Ankor. Extensive Antiquarian Waystones and Henges (2 College Favors) Dwarf Texts: Extensive Greenskin Magic, Extensive Skaven Magic, Extensive Romance Novels, Extensive Linguistics, Extensive Daemons. Extensive Antiquarian Waystones and Henges (2 Dwarf Favors)
I'm not completely certain about this entire block of books given I copied most of it from other people. I removed the romance books for languages we can't read since I feel that's kind of a waste. But in exchange, I did add Extensive, Antiquarian College and Dwarf versions of Waystones and Henges which I feel will be of great help for our job given how 8 Peaks apparently is filled with the things and how we will probably going to be dealing with all the neglect the greenskins and Skaven have caused them.
I feel taking Grimnir's axe would be a bad idea. I think it's still currently buried in the ruins of Karag Dum though if you want to go look. No, no, we give the Dwafs 100 favor and end up with Gotrek's Axe![]()
Oh okay. I'll edit my vote.If we reforge it, we'll get a Gromril sword.
Combo with what? Does Sigmar throttle people invisibly, or is it just for better Skaven Slaying?
Also, did you get an alert from this edit? Just checking.
Our Shadow does that, but its uncontrollable, and acts however it wants. Throttling + Invisibility would let us sneak around unseen and kill multiple people from stealth. Sneak attack one Skaven Group from invisibility while we send Shadows to strangle a mage or shaman, look out, or just someone outside of our opening attack.Invisibility I agree- if we'll be doing Super Dangerous Scouting (and gosh darn it it seems we will) it'd be very useful to cover us while we scoot from (Substance of) Shadow to Shadow.
As for Throttling- I mean, I know mechanically it's not identical to the inescapable fluff effect of Throttling, but narratively it feels like we get 1d3 casts of this per round when we invoke our TerrorShadowTendrilsTM.
This is not guaranteed. Re-purposing the armor only means something will be done with it, it is possible that that will include using some of it for a theoretically 25 favor rune weapon, but nothing about that is certain..
We made the right choice then."Welcome to the Emp-," you start.
"Where are they," he rasps, interrupting you, "Where are the last remnants of my daughter?"
You pause for a moment, caught up in forcing yourself to stop the speech that Natasha had drilled into your skull the entire way here, before nodding and turning slightly to face the bier. In truth, you have to admit that it was a good thing that Aurelion sent it to you, for to have simply handed the man it all in a sack or had it strewn out across a wooden slab of a table would have been disgraceful. For a moment, you cannot tell whether or not Prince Deralac is even breathing, so silent is he, his eyes locked onto the equipment and gear. There was absolutely nothing you could have done about the chariot, but you had hopefully treated it with all possible respect when hauling it out here. But upon the bier, bereft only of its bearer, lies the helm and armor, the Princesses' weapons and iron spiked hair bands present as well.
A single tear falls down the immortal's cheek as he steps forward slowly, each one seeming to age him further and further. His guards advance as well, keeping exactly five paces behind him, forcing you and your own to back off further considering they don't seem inclined to go around you rather than through you. Deralac's steps grow shakier and shakier before he places his weathered palms upon the edge of the bier. Then he is still once more, save for a single tortured breath which escapes his lips. With inhuman gentleness he reaches out, naught but his fingertips tracing the sides of the helm, the shaft of the spears, pausing upon the hair spikes in some horrible mix of fear and pain and love. You do not understand the musical yet weary words that he speaks then, and you do not think you wish to. These are words meant for father to daughter, slain in a war so very distant from home. In that instant, all the armor he wears, and the pride every elf carries, disappears to you. In its place is a man who has lived longer than the Empire has existed, since before Sigmar was even born, who had spent all that time never seeing even the barest hint of his child again.
[] Refusal - You have lost a child before. More than one. You would not ask of him such a thing for such a loss.
Let's make the right choice again."They were lost to you," you look from her to Deralac. "There is no price I would put on that, none that I would have any father pay."
Alarielle tilts her head as she looks at you, rubbing a thumb over her knuckles where your hands touched hers, but is silent. Derelac is not, somehow managing to gracefully storm towards you where you stand, his expression thunderous.
"His name was Oskar, and I lost him to blade and brick," you interrupt as he opens his mouth. "And we did not have time to name the other three," you murmur, yet know that the elves can certainly hear.
Natasha takes your hand in hers, letting you rest against her as she rests against you.
"Take your daughter home, Derelac of Tiranoc. Lay her to proper rest."

[X] [ARMOUR] It should be returned to the Hold it was stolen from, to build strong ties among the Karaz Ankor.
Doing anything but this would be very wrong. This isn't just war gear, this is someone's armour. That someone is lying dead in a skaven's warren and soon to be eaten, never to see his friends and loved ones again. We've been presented with this kind of choice before.

Here's what Boney had to say about it.This is not guaranteed. Re-purposing the armor only means something will be done with it, it is possible that that will include using some of it for a theoretically 25 favor rune weapon, but nothing about that is certain..
That's not an explicit, word for word guarantee, but it does seem pretty clear to me what it'd probably result in.If she performs great deeds with the sword it is likely to become recognized as such. The armour would provide more than a single weapon's worth, so Mathilde doesn't have to claim her own portion as the sole symbol.
That's strange. I don't recall any of that happening to Mathilde before.[X] [ARMOUR] It should be returned to the Hold it was stolen from, to build strong ties among the Karaz Ankor.

I know, but the situation is the same.
Boney was asked an explicit question about how a scenario would work out, one predicated on reforging the armor winning and a rune weapon option winning and responded within that context. It's not anything. Here's what Boney had to say about it.

@BoneyM, Can we stick Matilde's Matrix on a spider with the Amber's translation spell as a short term solution?
No one. They're talking about another quest entirely. I personally don't see the parallel, and do not appreciate the appeal to that particular sentiment.
The question was asked in the context of whether or not it'd be used for a statue or something, so I felt it was applicable.Boney was asked an explicit question about how a scenario would work out, one predicated on reforging the armor winning and a rune weapon option winning and responded within that context.
