[X] Steward

Okay first the job vote, Steward has realy grow on me, is very flexible, vital, we are unique suited to it due to conection and broad skillset and grants the most personal powers and first pick on eotic trade gods, is the best job both to make the most good and benefits us personaly.

I did have many toughs on ranges and court wizard roles, but at the the end the day we can always look into the things we would do there on our own time and would do so anyway, but we cant pull the things we could as a steward whitout the position.

[X] Marry me...
- [X] Soon.

On marriage, I would like to see this and I think with girocoptes we can totaly make it work, there is also how if we don't take this oportunity it is likely we are never going to marry.
Also you have to consider how he is totaly going to bossed be his wife no questions asked and I don't think an engineer who seens more likely to blow herself up than us would last long if alowed to run wild.

- [X] Stefanie Krebs
- [X] Wilhelmina.

So aproval voting for these in case we let him go.

Putting on the cynical grey wizard hat on as I ship:

Wilhelmina + Anton makes it much harder to outvote her if she starts taking the EIC too far. While we can certainly pressure the two counts, that's two powerful nobles we don't know as opposed to one friend who trusts us. As things stand we can make strong suggestions and put things back on track without actually having it come to a vote because she knows we'd win. If she effectively controlled 36% too there's more chance of a disagreement leading to digging her heels in - formally overruling her probably makes her position untenable and ruins the friendship.

Yes, in the immediate future, our duties would keep us largely apart. But our stay in K8P is ultimately temporary, and Anton is getting pressured to marry soon. He's told us that he trusts us to be a good partner, and he's right to do so. Ultimately, it benefits both of us. We'd be hard pressed to find a better husband, and he hard pressed to find a better wife.

She would settle down a bit, but yeah, it's not like we won't have any time to save the world. If Elector Counts can manage it, wizards probably can too.

I think you're quite wrong about this. Elector counts manage to do it because their significant other is taking care of the household/kids so that they can go gallivanting off on saving the world. So either Anton will get the kids or Mathilde will most likely. Either way it will significantly limit her ability to go far away or leave for months at a time.

Also, I think it's pretty unfair to the Dwarves. Why should they pick us and an advisor if we're gonna bounce within a few years?

Other candidates for the position are Princess Edda Grimbrow, who would emphasize a traditional Dwarven artisanal economy; Miner Durgrim Redmane, who would emphasize a mining-based economy; and Priestess Hluodwica Stoutheart, who would emphasize an agricultural economy. Keep in mind that these parts of the economy will still be functioning even if they aren't emphasized, and you will be able to choose whether you bring them under your purview or allow them to function independently.
Does this 'other parts of the economy will keep functioning even if not emphasized' mean that if we don't go for Stewardship Advisor ourselves, we'll still be able to invest in the Undumgi and the Death Pass trade route, what with us living in Karag Nar and such? Like how presumably the other candidates will still be heading their sections of the economy If we do become Steward?

Because I'm very interested in being involved in making the Undumgi a powerful force and turning Karak Eight Peaks into a trading nexus.

Oh? So when Mathilde is expected to have an heir with him, you think she wouldn't settle down a bit? I just can't imagine Mathilde neglecting her kids given her traumatic separation while she herself was a child.
Her problem when she was a kid was that her parents didn't want a wizard kid because they're superstitious peasants, not that she was separated from them.

The cynical grey wizard would poke the college and get some wagon train full of auditors when something is up. Wilhelmina is aware of this and Anton being a feudal lord means his share belongs to his house; so it wouldn't be a straight share addition but alliance.

[ ] Marry them...
- [ ] Reinhild Gerber
With only a clever mind and an ambitious blueprint.
- [ ] Stefanie Krebs
Delivering a stranglehold on the Aver.
- [ ] Cordula von Halstedt
Linking the EIC to the Moot.
- [ ] Wilhelmina.
She said she's thought about it. Give her a push and promise to call in a favour or two with the Jade College.
[ ] Marry me...
- [ ] Soon.
Gyrocopters are wonderful things. You could spend weekends at Blutdorf, or he could spend them atop Karag Nar.
- [ ] When I return.
An engagement ring and a promise for when you return to the Empire.
[ ] Stay single. Marry for love.
Anton's achieved miracles for others. Maybe he could do so for himself.
[ ] Stay out of it.
Without any input from you, he's likely to end up following whatever Wilhelmina advises, making this a de facto vote for the 'Marry Them' option.

And so the knives great swords come out.

As opposed to being the wife of the ruler of blutdorf who is also a significant shareholder in the EIC?
Ah, well. I shall not push. Merely disappointed in her.
The thing to be disappointed in her about is that she apparently would let a conflict of interest stop her from taking both jobs anyway. Employing people from within the province as internal spymaster has worked out fine for Elector Counts before; even if there's the potential for it to go catastrophically wrong Roswita and her Witch Hunters feel like the types who would go "Hm, but isn't there a conflict of inter-" "I'll fund your entire West-Central Stirland spy network out of the Barony's funds." "Congratulations on your upcoming marriage, Baroness, and I hope we'll work well together for many years to come."

What? Of course Anton would be staying at home and largely overseeing domestic affairs. His duties keep him in Blutdorf and Stirland, our duties pull us hither and yon.

Yes, but in that case you will not be in charge of the Undumgi.

First, you really should use the reply function. I know we're talking to each other because I've been quoting you, but to other readers not replying makes it hard to follow. Second, for me, it's not that there won't be someone there, but that I think that Mathilde would want to be a good parent, and that necessarily means hanging around a significant amount in Blutdorf.

Yeah, you're right. Yet, that doesn't mean that Mathilde wouldn't want to be a good parent and that means staying close to your kids on some level.
Maybe, but ignoring the fact I'm against romance, because I don't enjoy reading romance, I'm not Mathilde wants to raise kids. I'm pretty sure that if she had some she'd certainly try her best, but she doesn't seem like it's something she wants. She's all about doing interesting things in exotic places right now.
