If we can't get like a written note of debt and the mass of coin is an issue, we could likely invest the coin in exports of FINE DWARVEN GOODS. Bring home a small pile of highest quality craftsdwarfship mechanisms that the EIC could turn additional profit on. :V

Now, this is thinking like a major shareholder of a trading company. Buy up a bunch of trade goods from Karak Azul, hire the mercenaries with their own money to escort the caravan back to the empire, and watch our dubious gathered gold new bed grow.

[x] Plan Light Everything On Fire And Kill Things

Would people be opposed to adding:

-[] Have rangers with any remaining black lotus poison watch over the approach to the citadel to disrupt any groups heading towards the fight.

Besides paying back the loan we should see about spending some to make the lives of the people who live on our land better, maybe see about getting a church to Shallya.

I wonder how expensive that is?
We have done a lot to improve their lives already. They went from almost nothing to having a place to hide against attacks in, a good well and granary, a loom, a dairy, a good road to the nearest town and a blacksmith. We have invested a lot in to helping our people out so far. We can improve our stuff right now.

...lets pay to attract a church to Shallya...and build it wall to wall with the Ranald shrine on our fief.
Shipping ho~
E: I'd build it AROUND the Ranald shrine but theres such a thing as pushing it with the innuendo.

I, personally, am worried that we might start running into "too many magical items" issue; we have Torc, Belt, Seed, Coin and Robes already. Wasn't there something about plausible issues with too many enchanted items?

As I recall, we effectively have 4 "slots" to work with when it comes to magic items.

Internal - This is currently taken up by the Belt, and will probably remain as such for the rest of the game, since I doubt we'll get anything comparable.

Surface - This is currently our Armor enchantment, but that's already outdated, and will become even moreso as our Magic stat improves. We could swap this out for something else, but it'd ideally be Uglu based to make sure it doesn't interfere with Aethyric Armor, so most likely we'll just upgrade the existing enchantment.

External - Right now, the Torc is using up this slot, but we're not really making much use of it. Could easily be replaced with something else more useful to us, although we'd need to make sure we don't offend the College.

Weapon - We don't currently have an enchanted weapon, so this is totally open.

The Coin, as a Divine Artifact, doesn't take up any of the slots - it's more a physical token of the favor Ranald has for us, anyway.

Similarly, the Seed doesn't take up a "slot" because it's dormant 99% of the time, and the Belt burns off any Dhar caused by it interacting with our internal Uglu when it does trigger.

-[x] Propose lighting as much of Grobi Town on fire as possible, using whatever combination of your personal sneaking, magic to help others sneak, ranger sneaking, halfling sneaking, top-class dwarven incendiary technology, artillery-hurled incendiaries, and other means the war council can cook up.
-[x] Ensure in particular that the portions closest to the Citadel entrance are lit up so that reinforcing the Citadel becomes difficult to impossible without charging into the flames.
-[x] Combine with assassinations for additional confusion and to ensure lack of an organized response.

Ah, but there is the jade seed as well.

It's something we should check with QM, but if nothing else, a really killy rune greatsword should be a safe purchase for example.

We could always do/be nicer.

And a temple/church of Shayla sounds good.

They are the kind of people it's good to have on your side in case of... Things.

Titus almost overbalances as he suddenly tears himself away from his still-roasting haunch. "We're making pie?"

Lol halflings. Right there with you, bud.

I generally like your plan, but what gate? If you mean the gate to the Citadel, the way I understand things the dwarves want to enter the Citadel through the gate.

Or do you want Panoramia to block the gate after the Citadel is taken?

I was under the impression that either there were two gates (east and west) or else a single gate that needed to be closed to prevent reinforcements. I didn't think we'd be using the same gate to assult as the grobi were to reinforce?

@BoneyM Seeing how we are just suggesting plans to King Belegar and the rest of the war council and how they may very well see parts of our plan as deal breakers due to things that either we the players or even IC Mathilde aren't aware of, wouldn't it make sense for her to suggest multiple of our plans in the case that the first one doesn't get accepted?

Example: We ask Cordrin how many humans can be expected to quit if we wait another day longer, and if the numbers look grim we suggest the second highest plan or whatever.

We could also vote to do exactly that in our write-in, but seeing how we are already well into the voting cycle and how this could lead to a multi-page monster plan, that seems impractical right now.

Grobbi Town is on the other side of the Citadel yes, plan light everything on fire is to block reinforcements from there, I think?

With regards to the money, i support the 'donate to Ranaldian causes' option. It seems like it'd be interesting to read more about (the QMs interpretation of) how the faith operates in the world, and what aspects Mathilde focuses on, and its incredibly fitting and appropriate given the cause of the windfall. Also, its not like the grey college doesn't know about that particular worship; i dont remember if Mathilde ever explicitly told her master about it, or mentioned it in the magister exams, but i frankly refuse to believe that they never figured it out? Especially since iirc we rather publicly attempted to push ranald worship into the stirland watch as one of our last acts as spymaster, like a year or so before our magister exams.

Speaking of the money, I wonder if we can re-invest it into the campaign. Maybe open up a Karak Eight Peaks branch of our company? We might be able to hire a few gyro-copters for use by our company to transfer goods.

Matilda going full Big Boss in the burning town is too fun of an idea for me not to do it.

Honestly while we are at it we might as well douse ourselves in oil and set it alight.
Sounds impractical for sneaking.

Now, once we start infiltrating Skaven, who heavily rely on smell, smelling and looking like we are on fire could actually be a better way to blend in than trying to look Skaven without smelling Skaven. :V

Esshin assassins cannot get you if you are on fire, after all.
