Can we please not name these kids after someone like what always happens? It's getting really damn confusing to tell people apart because people keep getting named after someone and it's getting more and more common to get confused about who is talking about when you have things like 3 family members named Natasha. Pretty sure that this is a good reason for the one Steve Limit trope.

Do you want to piss off the Fuerbachs? Naming a kid after Johanna is just going to rub salt in the wound.
Naming a kid for Kattarin might buy brownie points with her. Might. I don't think she's sentimental like that, though. It could imply that we approve of the 'Bloody Tzarina' 's more...bloody and disreputable actions to the rest of the Empire than we actually do.

On the other hand (in reference to my previous post), Kattarin did name one of her daughters Natasha, so maybe she is sentimental like that under all the ice.
I liked Red Bovine's post about names repeating too much...However, I was thinking Odelia and/or Gertude (one of Freddy's sibling whom he apparently liked) for the daughters as well.
I didn't bring up Theodore Roosevelt as a suggestion for a name, but it is starting to grow on me. I could see him naming his son Oskar as well, though.

I'm not 100% sure, but isn't Ostland's succession laws agnatic-cognatic primogeniture? So the male heir gets priority and only a female heir is chosen when there isn't a male heir to inherit, I'm pretty sure that's the case. So we could have his eldest daughter be heir but that would probably mean disinheriting him, which would be a really shitty thing to do to the poor guy.
