@yrsillar I don't see how a reroll on perception is SELF reflection. For helping face their problems perhaps it should be changed to a reroll on empathy? AM does have several empathy related effects so it fits.

There's a diff between raising it as a friend and forcing people to self reflect as a consequence of being in our presence. The first is optional for one. And its a second perspective rather than oneself. People are harsher internally.
 
I seriously doubt it would be forcing. Just like, our presence makes it easier. You know, like we try to do without the domain already. Isn't that the entire point of domain, to show who we already are?

Hm. On the one hand, I personally prefer the fluff for the extra dice. On the other hand we just came from a personal interaction where the fluff for the reroll would have been helpful, so it would be IC to vote for the reroll. This is tough.

AM isn't doing the Home thing - that was our breakthrough decision.

The perception dice lean more toward external defense of the home, preventing your threshold from being invaded by those with false or malignant intentions. They both conform to the original 'seed' of your domain, and the lesson can change as you add to your domain and grow, or rather, your understanding of said lesson will change with the further context of other elements added.

That isn't to say that Argent Mirror doesn't make certain avenues more difficult. A disguise art or an art focused on theatrical performance, for example, would probably not mesh well with it, given the themes, though it wouldn't be impossible, since this is still early days. You're a long way from your domain becoming 'set' as it were

Hmm, interesting. And highlighting the challenges of interpretation here, I think the "defense of home" idea was the only point here that we really picked up on.

And @Katreus, we are pretty pushy about helping our friends :p

I'll make a frowny face at you :( I made loong tl;dr (apparently) posts about how dices were about proactive defense/attack of other people's home, and rerolls were about helping our loved ones be stronger and basically gaining a mini-AM slot of their own.

Attack of other's homes isn't really the same thing at all. And while people were readily on top of the idea that there was some kind of support element to the support bonus, the interpretation of it was lacking. The idea of "home as a place of self-reflection" wasn't something really addressed. (I've got a vague feeling that like one post might have suggested it, but it didn't seem to affect discussion at all).

To my understanding, the Home bit is already locked in, we're just choosing part of how we express that now.
