OK, I am going to assume @yrsillar had the change to the Horror be retroactive as I have received no response to the opposite. As such, Horror has its own tab in the combat specs now.
Dots with the sect and the outer disciples as a whole isn't the same as the per character dots. The latter represents how Ling Qi views the relationship while the former is an OOC indication of what reputation we have with a given group.Something to note, we reached a four-dot negative relationship with the 'outer sect disciples' in under a year.
As such, it is quite reasonable to believe that we can reach a four dot positive relationship with other factions or subfactions in general - such as soldiers under our command, or the guards of wherever we build our home, or sub-units of the Imperial Army.
The reroll's requirements before it can be used aren't the best, but they certainly aren't the worst.
Also, negative doors are massively easier to gain than positive dots.Something to note, we reached a four-dot negative relationship with the 'outer sect disciples' in under a year.

To be fair, Xiulan didn't impale us, break our flute and later ambushed us with intent to harm causing some mental trauma. I think she's one of the lower profile friends of ours in terms of crazy shit we've done together? Also, negative doors are massively easier to gain than positive dots.
We have 3 does of relationship with Xiulan. We have FOUR with the Sun princess.
We may want to think of these relationships categorically rather than positive or negative. Fear may be negative, but respect is not.Dots with the sect and the outer disciples as a whole isn't the same as the per character dots. Also classifying "fearful respect" as a negative relationship is kinda missing the point.
You're raising the idea that this is a purely mechanical choice with no meaning beyond that? Not impossible I guess, though not what I'd have thought.
@yrsillar are the two domain effects here actually different interpretations of the AM ideal? Or are they purely mechanical alternatives?
Also, (if they are meaningful) would it be possible for you to give us a qualitative description of the differences in the ideas we're internalising? Or was that something you were wanting to leave up to us to interpret?

PLR feels more like a dancing art/gala/rave art. I read 'theatrical art' as more focused on being an actress. Basically, see how Sixiang is teaching us to be polite to Wen Ai and stuff.Huh, so does that mean that PLR would possibly not mesh well with AM?
Now this is the kind of information players need to make an actually informed choice. Please try to be more considerate in future votes @yrsillar, most of us can't read your notes...It does offer some small variation, the reroll leans into making your domain a thing of self reflection, helping those within face their problems. The perception dice lean more toward external defense of the home, preventing your threshold from being invaded by those with false or malignant intentions. They both conform to the original 'seed' of your domain, and the lesson can change as you add to your domain and grow, or rather, your understanding of said lesson will change with the further context of other elements added.
That isn't to say that Argent Mirror doesn't make certain avenues more difficult. A disguise art or an art focused on theatrical performance, for example, would probably not mesh well with it, given the themes, though it wouldn't be impossible, since this is still early days. You're a long way from your domain becoming 'set' as it were

Kinda fits with what LQ tends to do though. Like with Xiulan just this update. When you got super powered people running around in your home some self reflection might help alot.Themarically I dislike the reroll. Our home should be a safe haven that our family feels comfortable in, not a place that forces self-reflection on others. Such homes are so uncomfortable.
