Sixiang is likely to be a heavy social spirit. In the short term They are probably a loss (though arguably we could unbind her for the tournament week) but they are going to make up for it by helping us with social issues that are bound to crop up now that we have chosen the CRX route, they are going to strongly help us with creating our own arts (as well as maybe stealing their arts), and the bonus passives will help, too.You know, Sixiang is nice and all, but people do usually have good reasons to do what they do within the setting.
Are we trading 10-12 Qi (or more) for 10 dice on music arts?
@yrsillar In terms of rarity/potential, where does Sixiang sit?
Probably not. They need us to stay corporal, remember?
Probable, but it's plausible that binding them until then would give them enough juice to stay on for that duration.
The issue is that it isn't "FVM7, or AM5" but rather "FVM7, or 2-3 other Arts being leveled to Green"I would say that FVM7 is way more important that AE/argent arts.
Sixiang makes me think more of a chipmunk on a sugar high than about a social butterfly.Sixiang is likely to be a heavy social spirit. I'm not sure what you are surprised by. We basically got two non-tutor minors a week, which is exactly what we SHOULD get on a week with Tutoring (-1 minor) and Closed Door (-2 minors).# CRX Major + maybe CRX minor (?)
# Tutor Major
# Su Ling Major
# couple paragraphs that might count as a overall minor if you're particularly generous
Week 46:
# Mother Minor, though you could count it as a strange major + minor due to length
# Xiulan Minor
# Sixiang Minor
# couple paragraphs that might count as a overall minor
Seriously, unless we start regarding a couple of lines as a major or minor action, the new system of closed doors means half the story gets cut off.
Less story per in-game week, but an equivalent per real-life week. While i think it might be possible to get everthing if we only do closed door training until the tournament, it deeply annoys me that we not only lose a ton of minor actions with it, we also seem to lose most of the story too.
We go from what is 5 major + 5 minors per week to what should be 6 major + 4 minors, but as shown in the past two updates is actually a lot less:

Huh, that's kind of the opposite? I mean, we are getting most of the story anyway, it will just have a bit less thorough interaction with our friends who... are also doing closed door lately. Going closed door ourself means more regular training with friends as well as more regular missions and tutoring, all of them being story. The issue is that it isn't "FVM7, or AM5" but rather "FVM7, or 2-3 other Arts being leveled to Green"

We have seen in the previous scene that while Sixiang is alien to the human world, they are very much better than Ling Qi at being social.Sixiang makes me think more of a chipmunk on a sugar high than about a social butterfly.
Besides hasn't s/he just shown us how little s/he actually knows about humans and their interactions ?
How is it supposed to help Qi Ling in anything "social" ?
They don't understand humans. They understand diplomacy, and thus could do more in 10 minutes than an hour of Ling Qi standing awkwardly around reminding people that she probably ransacked their underwear drawer at some point.Sixiang makes me think more of a chipmunk on a sugar high than about a social butterfly.

Probably a bit more than Zhengui gives. Sixiang is Green after all, and we know the rather large gap between Red Zhengui and Yellow Zhengui binding bonuses. You know, Sixiang is nice and all, but people do usually have good reasons to do what they do within the setting.

I don't think that is a fair portrayal; you aren't properly listing the tradeoffs that go into each category.Anyway, if we don't do closed door FVM7 costs us an art like AM5 or AC5. If we do closed door, it might not cost us that. So, no, it shouldn't be "it cost us 2-3 arts", even if we decide to not do closed door.
One of the Eldars did essentially that with his moon spirit wife.@archangis that is incredibly gross. Like, outrageously gross. I seriously legitimately considered dropping the quest forever and never looking back because of that statement. Just for a moment that flashed by, but wow.
Eww.
I support not randomly deciding that we should try looking at people who Ling Qi has no romantic interest in as romantic prospects.
Romance is fine. Conjecturing about romance is fine, even if it can be distasteful at times. Shoving characters together in the hope that they will eventually decide to mate is gross.
If (and this is a big if) Ling Qi was to start liking Sixiang romantically, we can talk about their positive qualities as a romantic partner. Until then, could we please not?

If by "slept together" you mean literally slept in the same place, then yes.well, it's at least heavily implied they slept together after the Moon Party where they met...
