I mostly don't want to tell Cai because the option seems like we're going to be deferring the action to her. Renshu has been our and Bai's thing; I hate it when a friend invites one of their friends to a thing that we're already doing without at least asking for my input. If it was just "Hey boss, going to go beat a guy with a stick. See you later," then that's fine. If it's more "Hey boss, I want to beat a guy with a stick. how should we do it?" then that feels like we're pulling other people into one of the only things we're still doing with Bai that isn't training.
Is there a better way than beating him up and taking his things? What could possibly top that?Well, I at least want to involve Cai precisely because I think she can maybe offer us a better way to deal with Renshu.
Yes.We shouldn't give our boss a heads up about a significant military action we're taking because she might offer to help us?
Also, @Erebeal, it seems we have only 5 weeks left, making FVM7 a more costly achievement (though still doable without losing anything if we do closed door).
Problem is our budget is already under serious strain, and we are currently prioritizing Talisman loadouts over that kind of pill indulgence. As far as I can tell, if we keep the same relevant pill usage for the next 5 weeks, we get 82.6 successes per action training FVM with Zeqing. We have 1 success now, so adding that together is a mean of 414 successes after 5 actions. Is the plan to burn two extra actions on half-strength XP, which would get us to 496.6 (making up the rest maybe with random user content, or possibly cultivation bonuses from a Sixiang bind)? I would be in favor as I think the loss of 1 full action's worth of cultivation is worth the strong benefit that FVM provides in the tourney, not to mention all the reliable Domain XP and the benefit of not having to ignore Zeqing for over a month.
We have a bit less dice (we can't use a GSS every weeks, and no SLP dice), so we are likely to get only 70/actions at first, though hopefully binding Sixiang could bring that closer to 80/actions. We are also at 14/500 (the successes counted were a bit wrong as we should have had +4 last week, and there were 11 omake points used, not 2).As far as I can tell, if we keep the same relevant pill usage for the next 5 weeks, we get 82.6 successes per action training FVM with Zeqing. Yeah, we can't do last week loadout, but we shouldn't need to.Problem is our budget is already under serious strain, and we are currently prioritizing Talisman loadouts over that kind of pill indulgence.
Hey if it can be done I'm all for it, but we'll see what happens after next week.We have a bit less dice (we can't use a GSS every weeks, and no SLP dice), so we are likely to get only 70/actions at first, though hopefully binding Sixiang could bring that closer to 80/actions. The hope is to close the gap with EPC (stealth/discovery etc) successes, as those can give 30-60/week extra successes to FVM. The issue there is PLR and SCS, as PLR needs one week of EPC successes to get to 1 training action, and SCS can need either 2 training actions or 1 training action +1 EPC. AE might or might not also need some EPC successes depending on our actual plans for getting to AE4.
So, need to sit down to do some actual calcs of actions for the rest of the year in pessimistic non-Sixiang scenario, however from what I am seeing if we are willing to go closed door every weeks FVM7 should at worse cost us some of our leeway actions.
Yeah, we can't do last week loadout, but we shouldn't need to.
Or we could cut out the argent stuff and keep AE. Argent arts will just never be particularly great for us.At the very least, if we go for FVM7 and keep the Argent stuff we had in mind, we could cut out AE4 and spend a couple actions on Formations training.
I feel like you're trying to start one of those "we can use those actions to go for an archive art" debates all over again, and I just dont have the energy for that right nowOr we could cut out the argent stuff and keep AE. Argent arts will just never be particularly great for us.
Nah that's not an argument until later on. The argument I want to start is that the argent arts aren't worth dropping AE over. They aren't worth dropping anything over.I feel like you're trying to start one of those "we can use those actions to go for an archive art" debates all over again, and I just dont have the energy for that right now
eeeeeeeehh, as one of our primary defensive arts I submit that AM5 is worth it, though the utility of other green argent arts is debatable. And yes, AM is our primary spiritual defense/perception art, so unless you want to go on an archive dive for something better then training that one at least should be done.Nah that's not an argument until later on. I would not consider argent mirror 5 as something particularly useful for the tournament compared to our other arts. As a response to techron's post I thought it was clear I meant dropping then as in not leveling them, but if that did not come across well in the post I will say that it is absolutely what I meant. Eventually we will leave argent mirror behind, but that won't be for awhile, for now I simply don't see the point in working on argent arts if they will make us miss literally anything else we want to level.eeeeeeeehh, as one of our primary defensive arts I submit that AM5 is worth it, though the utility of other green argent arts is debatable.
