Oh, Ling Qi, you forgot that Zhu boy and Fan Yu, already? They used sabers! They're completely unimportant at her level of cultivation and status, but they mattered to Ling Qi, once! Truly, Ling Qi's element is Wind, for her head is filled with nothing but.
Moving on from silliness, Caimom uses the saber; the use of which clearly marks her commoner descent. That's a nice synergy of worldbuilding. I wonder if there's a minor proliferation of noble clans training in the saber, emulating their duchess, like how the spider spirit companion rose in popularity after the Ahui tamed the Forest of Gloom?
This is the second time one of the monsters explicitly complimented Ling Qi's defenses, and possibly the third if we take Liling's failure to end the fight after her dance as another. As such, Ling Qi is capable of defending against the attacks of all 3 of the first year Monsters! At least in narrative terms, Ling Qi only needs to keep up with her defensive cultivation to ensure anyone lower than the Monsters are incapable of damaging her. (The descriptions of the fight scene are great! I am so excited for the tournament--!)

Poor Lingmom, she just isn't used to Green-level cultivators. Biyu, on the other hand, is probably developing a severely distorted idea of human limits, to hopefully fortunate results; with her Big Sister as a role model, as long as she has Talent 4+, Biyu will have plenty of motivation for cultivation.
(On the note of flight and Biyu, what are our available options for sub-Cyan flight? With surpassing service to CRX that let's Ling Qi ask her for a favor, Cai-level robes that grant flight could be available for Biyu. Taking equipment, arts, and/or spirit beasts from the Cloud Tribes also works. Fortunately, Ling Qi is a follower of both the Grinning and Hidden Moons, stealing samples for her little sister should be well within theme and duty!)

Though, while it's unfortunate that Zhengui needs investment of minors to maintain his cultivation pace. He made a friend~~! (Also, Ling Qi is blatantly acting as mother to both Zhengui and Ugly River Eel, I'm looking forward to seeing what quest the Mother Moon gives her when that time comes.)

Back when she was showing it to the Golden Fields group, pre-Thunderdome I, when Ling Qi was the pity-hanger-on? Now she can turn her mist into a cloak, directly expressing her time on the streets into a defense against the horrors of the world. She's grown so far...

Interesting, this cave looks like it could have been a useful hunting ground with the Golden Fields group -- there's the fungal spirit beasts, again, as well as qi-infused vegetative matter. Oh well, the Golden Fields group stopped the hunting expeditions long ago, and the Sect probably wouldn't like for its disciples to farm the site, anyways. That lake of super-Green Dark qi looks like it produces rare materials useful for Inner Sect production disciples, and perhaps also Core Sect production disciples.
On that note, those materials look fantastic! The shard is tailor made for a weapon, which should probably be used for Ling Qi's Domain Weapon since its contribution should stack with Ling Qi's own arts.
