2 weeks? I could've sworn they have a physical body for a few months.
If this is the EPC weekly autos then it should be 15 autos, not 10.
Mechanically, I'm not sure yrs should allow this. Like, our current flute already gives us +4 dice over two effects. This is pretty strong.Or we could burn the custom talisman four effects on +offensive dice and be done with the issue alltogether.
It appears to be a understandable miscount.Hey, we've got 5 major actions right, including Mother? Am I miscounting, or do all the leading plans have just 4 majors?
But also basically all of our enemies have been able to diffuse our area effects or outright ignore it. And that would just keep getting more and more often the stronger enemies become.Mechanically, I'm not sure yrs should allow this. Like, our current flute already gives us +4 dice over two effects. I quickly ran up some sims of win probabilities as a function of dice difference. If our dice are the same as the defenders, then we have ~44% odds of hitting them. Getting +4 raises that to 62%. Pretty big deal. Now. What would you expect from putting everything into dice on a much higher quality flute? +8 dice? +10? That would effectively ensure that we would be expected to win clashes >75% of the time against anyone who hasn't basically been putting everything into spiritual defense. I would argue that that would be too strong for a single item. It has a lot of potential to unbalance combat.

That's the power of specialization: greater power in your area of focus. In this case increased hit chance for our spiritual attacks, at the cost of potential in other areas like Qi economy or dispel resistance.Mechanically, I'm not sure yrs should allow this. Let's say we get very lucky, and get a Dex + Expression flying sword that's darkness. Let's say we also get 9 darkness meridians by then. This means that once we get Domain 1, we get 44 dice for flying swords.
This might look good at first glance, but the issue is that we don't have any arts that work with flying swords, so there will be no techs. So this means non-AP non-perfect non-bonus damage unless we invest in those... and even if we invest in those, it will be limited.
Using what meridians? We only have a free spine+heart. If anything, we'd want to grab an area spiritual buff art, we'd use that more than the flying sword art-which remember, still needs our actions to use, which is an action with our other arts we're NOT using.
I thought the whole point of a flying sword was that it gave extra actions? It fights for you.Using what meridians? We only have a free spine+heart. I don't think it also uses arts for you, that would be stupid.I thought the whole point of a flying sword was that it gave extra actions? It fights for you.
True. It would still be better than an art based around a flying sword.Grabbing an area spiritual buff art is pure folly, given that we currently lack:
- An opportunity to meaningfully help allies with such a buff,
- Surplus actions to cast such a buff in the first place, and
- Extra time to train another art in the first place.
I know, I was just pointing out that if for some reason we get an art anyways an area spirit buff art is more useful than a flying sword art, we still need to activate the art's techs which detracts from our ability to use other techsRather than adding an other Art to our overflowing agenda we should focus on minors that give other bonuses.
In that regard team SuSu is our best bet with both Formations and Pills as the usual awards.
CRX minors might give something useful too, though at this point it's more a guess than anything...
Worth noting, we saw in our fight with the dragon that rolling equal to the defender still counts as a hit, and triggers on-hit effects like bonus damage.I quickly ran up some sims of win probabilities as a function of dice difference. I mean as in the sword attacks for you.I don't think it also uses arts for you, that would be stupid.
Good idea. It's low level, so upgrading it to max will produce a big power jump, if we don't commission a flying sword. It also gives dice/reduction to FVM, FSS and FSA, which means we can avoid another round of bitter arguments about our build, since it should keep everybody happy. If we get a flying sword from Cai we should probably buy this with our own money next.

too late, arguments begun, they haveCould we unequip our bow arts? Between our flute and flying sword they seem unnecessary. We are not going to be spends actions shooting arrows.
Yeah... I just saw that. Gah. I swear it used to be defender wins. This makes rocket launchers even stronger.Worth noting, we saw in our fight with the dragon that rolling equal to the defender still counts as a hit, and triggers on-hit effects like bonus damage.
