How do you feel about swapping the Vent action for this:

The valley is our only wood site, so I figure if we're going to train TRF we might as well do it there.

At which point, we go to Meizhan for help/relationship advice.

Meizhan: "I don't even know where to start picking out everything wrong with what you just said."
That would require him to hibernate again, and each hibernation is longer than the previous. If he's in hibernation when the tournament comes we're out of luck, so we might actually want to hold back on that count. Peak yellow should be easy though.

I am putting off Cai for transparent reasons of abhorring both her and salt, but have also seen 'put off cai for reasons of meeting the mom' floated about so I am totally not a clearly selfish person about this at all
so here is my personal favorite plan which is not obviously biased in favor of Golden Fields at all and is in fact totally balanced
Other than that, the most notable feature of this plan is taking a sect job instead of immediately jumping on Moon Quest, I guess? I don't see the rush, honestly.

So we kind of need that mission. I'm seeing a whole lot of plan without mission and it will fuck us over.
We currently have two Sable Light Pills burning a hole in our storage ring. I think it's likely we won't go for Appraisal, which means those SLP weeks need to be done sooner rather than later. Current thinking is they're best done the moment the moon quest is complete, whenever that is. We should definitely not wait until the end, because without Appraisal we can't reliably open meridians without the White Room in the final weeks.
The problem is that SLP weeks are tutor weeks. We currently have 48 sect points. If we have to do our SLP weeks, we need 60 sect points available. I've seen an argument by PrimalShadow that we can do one SLP week and then earn the points for the next one after that, but he's very wrong about that. If we do that, then for the remainder of the year we will have to earn points for tutoring in the same week we spend them. While technically this has been permitted by yrs in the past, it is risky, since we aren't guaranteed mission success. In addition, averaging 25 sect points per mission, we'll be able to use our 13 leftover sect points to make up the difference only twice. That means we miss another week of tutoring.
Let me make it clear: each week we don't mission, we are burning actions later on. Even if we don't want to spend points on anything but tutoring. The ideal scenario is we mission 8 times and tutor 8 times in the next 10 weeks, which is definitely possible and gives us by far the most training. 7 and 7 would work, 6 and 6 starts to get iffy. What I'm seeing right now is 5 and 5. That won't work. That's giving up an entire additional art level because... no reason, actually. I see no justification for it at all.

Why are we looking for more arts again? Instead of shoring up arts we do have?

Also we should take into consideration any future plans just won't work with all the possible things happening before tournament and the minors as well as the Cai vote coming in hot , which can just...make everything choatic at best.

He's talking about training our existing arts one level more/less. Another art is only an option.
PLR is yang and stealth success only apply to yin arts.

I'm kind of curious, is there anything mother could say that would actually push people to change their votes on Cai? Personally I don't think she knows anything that matters when it comes to matters of nobility, but I keep seeing this get brought up so maybe I am missing something.
people just want to delay the salt and arguments. Also, there are other minors they'd rather take

Our mother has consistently written and hinted in her letters that she has some knowledge of how nobles work. One was that she feared our brash manner of speech would not be of help in dealings with nobles.
There are further implications in that only a brothel would hire her even though she has a passable education in music, mathematics and is literate. Most commoners are not typically educated in music, mathematics, and the written word as there are more important tasks to do (farming, laundary, cooking, etc). Clearly, she has had an education above the norm of commoners, and some event in the past precludes her from using that education to find productive work outside of a brothel.
There is something fishy going on, and with her repeated words of caution in dealing with nobles, an inference can be drawn that she herself has had trouble with nobles. Such trouble could lead to a result that our Mother finds herself in.

Actually yeah, we still don't know anything about ling qis background or that whole ??? Thing she had . Plus add in little mystries like the knowledge qi mom posses about different things, the wind comb , and some jumbled memories . We could have a sudden revalation that makes it harder to choose

The nice part about future plans is that they are more flexible the more preparation we do now, not less. Even if we don't want more arts, or we have to re-arrange where pill weeks are.
