Like, hidden moon is the least in-character option. It's about the lure of unknown secrets, yet Ling Qi has never really been interested in those, especially not any time recently.
 
Also seriously, with PLR as good as it is, I can see TRF is quickly becoming obsolete as our defensive option. Why tank up if our enemies can't even hit us.

Like the FVM dice to expression test, it works with FSS/Melee sound blasts/PLR/FVM (as it doesn't have provision)?

It appears to be an automatic condition that does not require a clash to affect a person. Should a person be inside of the effect, then they need to pass a 5 success perception test. On success, -2 dice to their attack. On failure, the attack auto fails.

All of this with no clash what so ever. It really is fantastic! The combo with FVM is also evident, as the mists from FVM reduce the perception dice of the individual meaning that opponents are even more likely to fail the crucial test to hit us.

And should they fail, then FSS qi gain procs as well as TRF qi gain. This art is going to be our bread and butter for a long time.

It auto hits, but it's an illusion. There are anti-illusion effects, so it's not an auto-succeed agaisnt peer level opponents. Still, pretty awesome, and probably just took it's probably technically our most profound art.

PLR is an illusion, so someone like Han Jian who has Argent Mirror is especially strong against It

Xin has done a terrible job at selling herself to us, or putting us on her path. She's mostly just been a wingman for her sisters.

Like, we're in the middle of going full music and getting to know the dreaming moon more. Just like grinning moon was the most natural place to start, I would have to say that dreaming is the most natural thing for us to do right now.

Also, more social and friends would be good, and that's what that one seems to be pushing for. For all the people who were disappointed that our breakthrough didn't have more friendship, this would seem to be the most obvious route to take.

On the contrary, Xin has done an excellent job in my opinion on getting us on her path. This is the only option, from the previous moon's that were willing, to have given us another chance. She has consistently been nice to us and has given some nuggets of wisdom in her talks with us as well giving us more information on the sect opportunity.

As for the dreaming moon being the most natural place to go from here, I guess that is subjective? I mean, I don't see us doing all that much smoothing out ruffled feathers in the near future and we have had a history of having a difficult time doing it(specifically with Su Ling, Li Suyin, and Xiulan interactions, and then the whole debacle with Xiulan's relationship with Han Jian).

Compare that with our further developing ability to acquire and keep secrets. We learned personal secrets from Lady Cai, relationship secrets from Meizhen, as well as having consistently pursued objects that we did not know anything about other than their existence (see the whole dreaming moon tower quest line). We kept the secrets of Fu Xiang and are having him look for the locations of Yan Renshu and reveal that to us.

At this point, it seems fairly subjective which is the more natural way to go. Since I see Ling Qi having difficulty entertaining friends and smoothing ruffled feathers, I am going to be voting for

And let's be honest, we could have managed Bloody Moon if we'd actually been able to find Yan Renshu.

While Xin is Hidden Moon, and I lover her, that just means that we already have a possible in for later choices. Dreaming is more consistent with what we use every update and fight (flute doots), and also more likely to give us bonuses that will be more immediately applicable I would think.

Seriously, if we get any expression clash/cultivation bonuses with dreaming, it would be great for our art suite.
