-On the other hand literal shit is very profitable, is an untapped market, and by law is now the business of the Watch to scrape up the shit and piss for money. Just need a lot of carts, horses, barrels and unemployed layabouts.
--Incidentally this should cut down disease and crime due to cleaner streets and employing the layabouts.

I would also like to invite the thread to investigate the 'French method' and 'Swiss method' of procuring potassium nitrate for gunpowder production.

I had thought that she'd conjure mounts for however many people she was bringing- probably not more than a half-dozen- but if she would leave them behind even then, there's nothing to be done about it, I guess. Can't afford to lose actual time-spent-working for something like that.

The 'average' Shadowsteed rider travels at about five times normal speed and arrives with a severely bruised pelvis. Mathilde isn't quite the fastest thing in the Warhammer world, but she's pretty far up the rankings.

Now that I think about it, selling intel has 2 other big advantages, firstly we should be able to drive other information brokers out of business eventually seeing as we have the resources of Stirlands intelligence service (ie, Us) on tap giving us a massive advantage, this should reduce the number of other unwanted spies running around Stirland a bit. Secondly if we're the premier information broker that makes it very very easy to spread to information we want, we can't lie without damaging our credibility but we can put the slant we want on it and can adjust prices such that the people we want or do not want to have information get it, plus what info people ask for already tells us something about them. One important thing to consider if we do go with this option is to make sure people don't associate the information brokering part of our organization with Stirlands official intelligence agency.

I'd prefer Greatswording, I think, because it synergises with the combat magic we've got and I want to get it to advanced/trait level. It also means spending more time with the Greatsword-bros.
Well, lets see next turn:
-Watch income we could probably do with our Watch action
-Informant income we could probably do with our Informant action.

-We'd need an action to set up the lab.
-We'd need an action to continue the undead research
-We'd need an action to find spare bureaucrats
-We'd need an action to set up the Van Helsings

So we tentatively have 1 action left to spare, and we almost certainly need to overwork to get any training done. Urgh.

Piss in a trench. Scrape the urea up at the end of the day. IIRC.

There's a bit more to it than that - these are methods for mass production. A state-held monopoly on waste can be pretty damn useful in the gunpowder era.

(I normally wouldn't guide players to this extent, but this was widely-held knowledge once and much less so now; Mathilde would be more aware of this than the average reader)

Well, I'm vaguely aware, not sure how much Mathilde is aware, but she's well educated and probably would put it in the proposal.
Not sure what people know about disease and shit in the streets either. Theres a lot of aerosolized poo in the medieval cities.

We could ask the elector count to make a law that any waste cannot be dumped in the city but has to be brought to a collection point, this should save us labour and also preserve the piss that would otherwise be lost due to natural drainage.

Not practically, it takes concentration and hand-motions, and even if you do manage it the combination of adrenaline, guardedness and hostile thoughts towards you makes them more likely to throw off mental assault.

@BoneyM - as an aside, I remember you mentioning in the prologue that traits in specific situations can have much greater bonuses that are relevant to them, is this still the case now? For example does windreader aid us in understanding or perceiving magic, or bureaucrat give a bonus on future stewardship rolls specifically related towards that?

@veekie is it okay to add the request of the rat catchers for dwarven tutoring to the report? As Mathilde herself noted in the update, Van Hel is going to meet with the dwarves anyway during the Elector Meet.

The bonuses are less a flat-out mechanical bonus (except for their stat bonus, of course) and more a narrative one. Windreader means you get more information from your Magesight, like how you could tell just by looking at them that the Wights standing guard in the barrow had been controlled by necromancy in the past, but weren't now. Something similar happened with the agents that tried to get themselves recruited - your Interrogator trait means you broke the whole story out of them instead of just seeing that something was fishy and sending them away.

Three things make the Empire great, Faith, Steel, and Gunpowder. Karl Franz <butterflied>
We can do something about the gunpowder bit at least. 10 cannon for a elector's army? Disgusting.

[] Write-in : The value of waste seems high. Hit the books to see if there is anyone else who will pay more for it.

Even further investment into hauling waste seems wise and it seems to be able to atleast solve the watches money problems? I mean specifically expand that part of it to elsewhere aswell to pay for stuff . U can also say ur battling nurgle while making farms near cities more efficent i guess. And enchantment research please since we have gear for money making since even basic enchantments are worth alot of money.

Also random thought what about gradually cleansing sylvania by stages instead of going full scale incursion?Like the region the fort is built in for example?

wouldnt mind a training action or two please. And the gribles things could be delayed a turn or two?

Discretionary Income: +200g
Veteran informants: -60g
Watch informants: -10g
EIC informants: -20g
Julia: -30g
Townhouse staff: -20g
Enchantment equipment: -150g, including shipping
We owe the count a lot of gratitude for approving this.
"Look, I'll grant you another 50 for the Discretionary," he says, "that should cover you for a while longer. But this is supposed to be discretionary, for unexpected bits and pieces that pop up as you go along. It's not supposed to be for you to maintain an entire staff filed under miscellany."
And then there's this. Looks like it's definitely time to monetize a lot more of our stuff instead of asking for more funding. Start selling Qhaysh Juice to the Colleges!
(Don't actually do that yet.)

[Expanding watch into County of Worden: Diplomacy, 68+7+20(manpower secured)=95.]
What happened to Ranald's Blessing? This is the only +20 to a roll I could see this turn.
