So... IC information:
- Ling Qi strongly thinks that Cai Renxiang does not suspect anything.
- Ling Qi does think that she will be punished if she admits something, and choosing to admit is also choosing to accept punishment - no fight, no triggering Bai Meizhen's Personal Thunderdome.
- Ling Qi is uncertain how lenient Cai Renxiang will be, given the conversation they just had. Worst case is the "monster" in action, best case is some kind of punishment but mitigated a bit.

I'm less concerned with the impact of this on us from Cai than I am to being true to Ling Qi's self, especially as we're breaking through and pushing into developing our Way. We chose home - and hopefully, this is the true home, rather than the false home that Zeqing's Lonely Winter Home spoke of.

This seems the most appropriate for who Ling Qi is, or at least who she wants to be.

I knew we shouldn't have done the all 3 option -_- but nooooooo not doing so would make us "ungrateful "

Well..on the bright side this uhhh significantly tilts the scales to be more even between sect and cai rather then what it was before I suppose

Yeah.

It's not that you never make mistakes or commit wrongs, it's that you learn from them, change yourself because of them, and move on. That's always been how Ling Qi has gone. In a way it's similar to when we pushed a boy down a well, isn't it?

Eh, there's two ways of looking at it. Either we're a shitty nascent spymaster for not keeping our mouth shut, or we're a shitty spymaster for not keeping our potential lord in the loop and leaving her open for further exploitation due to her continued ignorance. There's a reason that the saying "What they don't know won't hurt them." is rarely taken seriously.
 
I'll just reiterate that, depending on what Cai Renxiang's punishment actually is, we could see a loss of access to the market(s). Revealing our crime publicly would hurt her politically, but I don't expect her to treat corrupt subordinates kindly in the real world, and her current government is explicitly a practice run. Stress-testing the fallout of high-level officials having their crimes exposed is arguably perfectly in line with what she's here to do. There isn't even an armed conflict to preserve unity in the face of anymore.

Edit: Oh, and Fu Xiang's super not going to refund our Renshu investigation OR pay out the info if we blab.

Alternatively, what they don't know can't be used against them because they honestly had nothing to do with it.

If we're going to work for the woman, then we really, really don't want to have this gnawing at us forever. I think we want to work for this woman.

If I was convinced that we should stay with the sect or whatever, I'd go with remaining silent.

Now that we know admitting to our, indiscretions, means we'll accept punishment makes that a complete non-option. Screw martyrdom; we're in this to win. If it can ease our conscience then we and try and barter Fu Xiang down. Doubt it will work since he's been tasked with finding the culprit and if it's not our patsy, than he's either going to accuse us or some other innocent person, but I don't see live and let live winning the vote at this point.
