I doubt it's wise to tip off our plans to anyone, we don't know who they're in contact with.
Darnit, every time I step away I miss something. Good point. I edited in a clarifiction to only contact them after the revolution is well and truly underway. This would be an issue if we were trying to cut Voxx communication off but we're not. Also, I doubt they have a fast, secure line of communication with van Zandt to share the news. By the time the Black Cat communicate the news it's going to be too late, and the duchy's psykers will have spread it already.

It will also be very useful in future turns of planning to know what the expense to hire them will be.

I can see arguments both ways. It's the rest of the plan I really care about.

Doesn't need to be Van Zandt, any opportunist sharing a border with us--theoretical or otherwise--could take the advantage to take a lot of clay, including their own if they decide to suddenly expand their franchise.

We didn't even introduce ourselves to them before.

Well, this is our introduction. There's a chance we want to hire them, it would be good to have an idea of how much it would cost.

*Sigh* you're better at paranoia than I am. Edited the vote again (with an edit comment) so we're just asking how much to hire them, not revealing much about our plans.

Steal half a plot from one of the armored core games.

Though well, the Anasi has quite a bit less combat power than one of those...
.... I mean, we could just to make elite pilots to pilot vehicles that have boosters on them and meant to dart around the field. QM made the elite of the elite 11DP N'Nonmiton Squadron when someone asked about it. just apply that to an Anasi.. we might need MMI researched before that though. OH wait, I got an idea. Kit bashed mech that is allowed to be used for whatever reason. A Franken Mech or walker that is cobbled together from new and old vehicles.

I mean, we also haven't used the N'Nonmiton Squadron even as they are Ace Combat/Gundam level aces, which is something I wish we should do.

eh, mostly because of DP restraint and focus on making the Ship as good as it can be rather that the fighters. that and we didn't 'waste' an action on ship design to make one like that. It does require lack of other ideas to fight to the forefront. We're more likely to use all the slots to do refit-versions above all else.

This version seems fine, the previous was also too specific. They're mercenaries, all we need to ask is 'how much?' and they'll give us the catalogue. Paranoia over asking at all is overblown and its good info to have.

For example, the Black Ash Clan, whose Matriach might like to know that right next door is a subsector of a polity whose gonna be busy for a while.

They're already in a war with Croaf where they need to hire mercenaries to help fight it. They have a small Navy and control feudal worlds. Seems unlikely they're in a position to start a second war or have an interest in expanding.

Actually, they have 2 SBGs worth of ships at least and their worlds were stated to be self-sufficient so they're probably more like civilized worlds. And from the looks of things, while they have been preparing for it they aren't actually at war with the Hegemony yet.

We could have tried subsume them the Black Ash Clan some time ago but we were busy with the Voxx Primus Infiltration at the time. the though duels to decide the High Queen were chances to sneak in or prop someone up with support and then integrate them or try to bribe them with 'we can give you parts for the Knights and build new ones'.

I like to recruit 8 more SAG's to help with the fighting in the hive soon, but as we can pick the type i like to know what the other think we should get
The action is:
[] [Military] Create A [Blazing Sun - 6x War-Packs] or 8x SAGs - [System/s] - [Weight: Light/Medium/Heavy] - [Type: Infantry/Mechanized/Tanks/Augmetic Legion] - [Classification: Sabotage/Assault/Engineering/Demolition/Ogryn/Kil'drabi]
Sabotage Units will focus on raiding and disrupting the enemy with lighting raids and plundering logistics; Assault Units will punch through the enemy in weak points and sow confusion with overwhelming firepower; Engineering Units will focus on creating fortifications and using turrets, mines, and barricades; Demolition Units will be comprised out of heavy weaponry squads with plenty of explosives, from mines to rockets; and Ogryn Units will be Ogryns armored in heavy metals and armed with shields and Beatin' Sticks led by soldiers with spiffy hats that will not be disobeyed. Kil'drabi Units can go into temperature enviroments Humans would require special equipment with ease. Infantry Units consist mainly of boots on the ground, while Mechanized Units are equipped with vehicles that increase mobility and durability at the cost of logistics and all-terrain capability, with Tanks allowing a myriad of armored spearheads or operations to proceed, and an Augmetic Legion consists of cybernetically enhanced humans, equipped with high-end implants and prosthetics that set them far above the human baseline, allowing for far more dangerous deployments. Light Units are better for low-logistic scenarios, while Medium Units rely more on regular shipments and strike a good balance between supply consumption and effectiveness. Heavy Units rely on solid logistics to continue working while offering an equal force concentration in return. A War-Pack comprises 15 Karnivores grouped in Packs of 3 Knights each, alongside the infrastructure/logistics to support and rebuild their Knights.
(Gain: Four War-Packs or Six SAGs. These contain [Four Units] chosen from the above choices. Tanks require no Classification.)

I think we should build two types:
The type intended to do the main assaults:
heavy Augmetic Legion Assault x2
heavy Augmetic Legion Engineering
Tanks

And a infiltration specialist group
Light
Augmetic Legion Sabotage x3
Light Augmetic Legion Demolition

With 7 of the heavy SAG's one of the light.
Our tanks include options like the Anansi Light Walker all the way to heavy tanks and i trust our generals to pick the right ones for the job
