There would be no need to spend anything to enchant that as the autoloaders would be free after standardization.

Even with it explicitly not being our focus, we have wound up with a lot of Equipment other than Autoloaders, which are, remember, actually just a DP 1 piece of Equipment, utterly standard for a fleet that specialized in this shit.

Missile-Swarms - Triples all missiles fired by a missile weapon.
[High-Explosive/Armor-Piercing/Cluster Charge] Missile Stores - A singular upgrade to all missile weapons on a ship, allowing them to load High-Explosive Missiles to pepper a foe's ability to resist future attacks and blanket already existing wounds with ferocious explosions, Armor-Piercing Missiles to punch through even the hardiest armor at the cost of raw damage output, or Cluster Charge Missiles to split the fired missiles into multiple projectiles that are far more likely to make it through the close-defense fire of the foe. (1 DP per Store.)
Snapshot Pinpoint Targeting Solutions - Installing a cogitation-matrix within our weaponry linked to each battery and turret will allow us to share targeting data with the wider sensor-network of the ship, increasing our ability to hit shots without spending as much time on aiming. (3 DP)
BESH Missile Store - The imaginatively named "Big Explosive Squash Head" missiles are a combination of the armor-piercing and high-explosive missile variants, combining together to create a fearsome, if very silly sounding, addition to our missile capability. (3 DP)
Macross Missile Massacres - "You got missiles in your missiles? Fuck that; I put a missile that shoots missiles inside my missile missile shooters!" In other words, sextupling the missiles fired at any moment, with the increased magazines to boot. (4 DP)
After-Burner Macro-Shells - The main problem with Macro-Cannon shells is that they are slow. Adding After-Burners to their payloads may be expensive, but both the ordinary and Plasma-boosted variants will strike with improved accuracy. (4 DP)

These are with us having paid basically no attention to either Missiles or Macro-Cannons except as a very, very secondary element.

If we'd gone all in on them as our core strategy, there'd probably be three or four times as many available pieces of Equipment! In such a build, the Autoloaders woiuld be nothing more than a tiny start. So expecting Autoloaders and a Light Macro-Cannon to matter as much as spending that DP on actual Carrier things, for a Carrier that is, is kinda silly.

It's baffling because at every point in time our Doctrine has massively outperformed doing it the boring, normal way with big ol' cannons.
I mean, I am pretty certain your Carrier percentage fell to less than 8% at one point with the majority of your weapons being naval guns, not, well, fighters and bombers.

Unlike now, where you have around a third of a fleet made up of carriers, fielding more strikecraft in one battle than any Sector Fleet of the Imperium does combined. :V

Well sure, but even that 8% outperformed 8% of the contribution to the fight... which should surprise nobody considering how much we've invested in it.

Look. We went to the Skywalker school of combat ie some punk kid from a desert planet with a dream and no sense of preservation will be the Federations' greatest hero(and we can ignore what happened after)

Psykana of the Glimmering Federation - Songs
Songs
Dirge for the Innocent

Lacrimas amaras noli flere mihi.
Quamvis nunc semper dormio;
vixi et risi.
Quid plus potest e vita exigere?
Quid amplius promitti potest?
Bound To The Stars

Let us go there,
Up above the aegis of our world,
Where the tempests of the soul reign supreme,
Where the dead yet walk and speak,
Where there'd be glory and dishonor,
Where the end and the beginning are but a flip of a coin away,
So we can burn our story into the Stars Themselves!
A Web Of Song

Sing for me of better days,
Humm to me of gentler times,
Speak no more,
Of a Dirge Unsung,
A Dirge Unsung,
Let no child be cruelly hung,
How we wish for days long gone,
When eyes looked yonder,
Upon the stars,
And saw wonder,
Where few had yet gone,
Where horrors did not rear their heads,
Amidst the minds of innocents.
A Spark of Genius

The efforts of the many, distilled into one singular moment.
A singular moment of inspiration.
A singular moment of understanding.
A singular moment of comprehension.

A Spark of Genius.
Turn Their Eyes Away

One needs not hide when hidden not by might.
For a light pointed at one place is seen as sure as if one cried.
The annointed are safe in circles of dark unlight.
Let them see where we point, let them ignore where we are.
Break Your Chains

My soul sees freely, my mind fears rightly,
For who can guess my thoughts, as I flit through the night,
No man can stop me, no hunter can kill me,
For my soul sees freely, and my chains lay shattered,
For none can cage me once more, within the dark shadowed pits,
No king can jail me, no god can bind me,
For my soul sees freely, and I shall die freely.
Diverting Power

Let Harm not come to us.
Let Might not strike our homes.
Let Power flow around this place.
So that we may yet go on.

Songs - Rituals created by blending three or more Melodies together. They are capable of affecting planets at the larger end, yet pay the price for their power by inflicting horrendous wounds on the Choir using then if used in combat against void ships/stations or entire armies.

Dirge for the Innocent - Allows you to lay the uneasy dead of an entire world to rest, denying those souls to Chaos. (As long as they hadn't already pledged themselves to it.)
Bound To The Stars - Enables your Choirs to act as akin to a slightly worse Void Abacus as Warp Navigators.
A Web Of Song - Enables a Choir to forward messages to the nearest system as long as there is another Choir stationed there.
A Spark of Genius - Can assign 10 Choirs to Research, adding +0.05 Research per Action Spent.
Turn Their Eyes Away - Enables a Choir to turn nearly all attention from them and those within a ~50km radius.
Break Your Chains - This Song amplifies and enhances feelings and sentiments of dissatisfaction, agression, uneasiness, rebellion, and dissent within all who hear it, growing stronger the more people hear and act on the feelings roused.
Diverting Power - Enables a Choir to divert hostile Warp Energies around a small bubble centered on themselves to another place. The size of the bubble can be improved by Psytech, Arcane Sigils, Sacrifice, and Power.

Components:
Dirge for the Innocent - Divine Inspiration
Bound To The Stars - Song, Humanity, Protection, The Sun, The Home, Fire
A Web Of Song - Protection, Song, Unity, Fire, The Sun, The Home
A Spark of Genius - Technology, Progress, Creativity, Hope
Turn Their Eyes Away - Silence, Protection, Grounding, Perception
Break Your Chains - Struggle, Fire, Humanity, Unity, Hope, Song

sacred number!!!

Chaos Undivided does try to have a claim on it (the number 5), but we wiped out the local Chaos groups and, further, Silence and Grounding as principles are far closer to the Five-Fold Star Child than they are to Chaos'... exuberant overdoing of everything in the worst way.
Huh. I always thought Chaos Undivided would have 4 as it's sacred number.

So, does this mean that each colonized system "costs" us a choir?

Yes, that's been the case for a while. So in a technical sense we have far more Choirs than it seems. Each Scout also takes up one Choir for Navigation Purposes, as well as of course the Andromedas.

Yeah it looks like one of the Breskal fleets (the one that was at Echish) moved to Voxx. No worry though, we still have a bigger fleet at Ultima Sigritta, so we should be fine for now.

We don't have two full SBGs, though. I wonder if we should transfer what little we have of the third SBG temporarily over, until we actually fill out that second SBG... which will be a little bit, or so it seems.

I thought we had to get 55 for a sacred turn? I mean if not I'm happy to do a full navy redesign.

I'm excited to see what this new research gets us.

I'm also excited for the research academies write-in.

@HeroCooky Would it be possible to mark where our mobile fleets are on the map at the start of a turn? I just feel it would be neat to see them on map.
+ A bit more readable when eventually a bunch of fleets are active in different parts of the map.
