In actual battlefield condition, Our armiger war-pack Vs a Questoris knight, I give it 60-40 odds to us with our new gear assuming the Errant doesn't snapfire one tap a armiger with its Giant melta, Assuming The questoris Knights lack their armiger escorts. If the Black ash clan makes 1v1 dueling a large of any attempted diplomacy with them, I would rate our chances far, far lower.

    They were using The Sun. It nearly killed them because they were singing the Melody of The Sun. Which is a tad bit more powerful an image within the Warp than using Fire. Or Protection.

    in Reference to that one update way back against the Orks when our choir burnt themselves out to use The Sun and sroched a large space station. The use of Sun by itself on the enemy killed that. Still waiting on whether upgrading it to Sun II or Sun III would help control the power output or make it worst.

    indeed and mind you we still don't know HOW they work or what exactly they do, we just get enough of an idea from the name of the songs.

    If anyone can find other songs that the QM has stated what they would be just ping me or message me and I'll add it to the list. I went from the most recent ones to page 720 trying to find any. So I haven't done anything before 720 yet. And I will try to add any new songs that pop up, I normally check the thread every day so chances are I will see it and add it in.

    Sounds more like an nurgle infiltration attempt or something. and I hope not, I'm just listing down all the Melodies people ask the QM what songs would come from them. keeping them around to see how the placement of them affect things, like how we now know you put silence as the first melody if you want a stealth song.

    Oh I meant in duels since it seems like that would be among the ways they would fight and keep the warfare limited to it or they would just say 'look, beat the High Queen in battle and we'll follow you' sort of thing. Its worth a shot but I don't fancy the chances of an Armiger against a Questoris. Also I only know the Titan via the Size comparsion charts. Didn't know Armiger is a Knight Chasis.

    Oh neat, is that an Apocalypse-Class i spy? My favourite Imperial Battleship class, the combination of heavy extreme range lances and a Nova cannon makes them superb big ship hunter. If so, the Hegemonies Grand Cruiser is probably in for a bad time.

    That was basically what I meant, should have been more specific and said "Instant bad end for the Choirs that try to sing this".

    Also, thanks for making that list. We should have made something like it sooner, maybe that will actually make us Sing new Songs instead of just putting them together.
     
    It's really hard to make time for songs. There's always something else to do, and songs are a nice enhancement but beyond the interstellar travel and communication are not vital in the way that fleets, colonization & civilization are.

    As a reminder, we already have:

    Well you also have to understand it always a mystery and not many people knew what we were doing. always some more concrete and gives an immediate payoff that action could be doing. Add in we already got songs for space travel and communication and not many people gave it a second thought. Sure there were a few times someone asked about it but we didn't get anything from it and it was lost and forgotten about over the turns.

    Now however, because its relevant and important via a enemy that has good psytech and can approach our choirs in terms of power now its a big worry and people are willing to Sing Songs now. Add in the general unknowns of song crafting and how we just didn't have an idea for how to order the songs to get an idea of what we want. Now you just look at the Melodies in the song, look at the order and get an idea for how that influences the song.

    Yahhhhh, that sounds about right. I would expect the all Choir build to be an annoying meme for specific debuffs like movement or sight, meaning your ranged units needing to get into melee range to fire or all units move like their Artillery. Could you imagine a song Like imagine a Silence of the Machine Spirits and neutering's a Ad Mech Army or doing a psychic wall against psykers based armies? or Blind Our Foes making ranged units live's hell with the debuffss to ranged hits or the Turn Their Eyes Away forcing them to focus on other units making it forced stealth for other units?

    seriously the choir having a bunch of different cards/songs on the thing would be on the player to memorize and use well but having a kit bash or mixed army with one as support would be a big support and boon.

    HAH, We're beating the Tau with Xenos Allied Units models. Just wait until the Irrita expansion comes out! OH that would be a great lore addition and be great setting for some books and battles with the places the Irrita terraformed.

    Considering our units are small but elite and not as vast as the Imperium, high point fast units are accurate. With no Armor Piercing I think the Choirs would need to carry the army with using the Combat songs to deal with that. I think given our powerful Songs and very small risk compared to other Psykers using their powers would be the HAXES and cries of overpowered and game breaking.

    How would the vehicles be like? and would the Lamenters be part of it?

    Hmmm, I don't know what Creativity being the start does but I'm thinking its a boosting and gathering of the good or individual lights/traits/beings of the being in range and then snuffing them all out and then merging what's left.

    Also I though the limit was six melodies overall? was it seven?
     
    Honestly I feel like a choir would have trouble with above 5 melodies simply because there's only 5 people and asking them to sing two melodies at once as part of a greater song sounds a bit too hard

    I'm going to take a stab at varying some of our song suggestions slightly to see if we can get improvements. For reference, here are my current 'top' contenders for each of the three important catagories:
    Revolution:
    Let Our Souls Ignite The Flames Of Kindred Minds Against The Roaring World - Struggle, Fire, Humanity, Unity, Hope, Song
    Psychic Defense:
    Unharmed By Power - Grounding, Protection, Grounding
    Combat:
    With Fire Armed - Struggle, Fire, Hope

    @HeroCooky Can I get a few more titles? Trying to dial these in, and it's a lot of fun to see what names you come up with. I'm trying not to flood you here, just come up with thematic ideas. I'm also trying to see if starting and ending a song with the same melody helps give it a focus. And if five is the magical number of melodies, with the central method in the middle.
    Revolution:
    Hope, Unity, Struggle, Compassion, Humanity - something about a better future being possible through united effort.
    Struggle, Hope, Fire, Compassion, Struggle - Stoke the flames of revolution among the breasts of the disheartened.
    Psychic Defense:
    Grounding, Protection, Void, Silence, Grounding
    Combat:
    Void, Fire, Sun, Song, Void.
    Fire, Sun, Struggle, Void, Fire.
    Protection, Hope, Grounding, Health, Protection.
