-[X] Total Cost: 90+290+80+80+115+240+80+170 = 1145/1150

- In Infrastructure I finish off the Communal Arcologies and then do Phase 2 of Suborbital Shuttle Service to get that out of the way.

- Heavy Industry has 6 Dice on Alloys for a 79% chance to get another round done, 1 Die on Electric Vehicle Plants to slow roll it and 2 Dice on Improved Fusion to make sure it is done this turn.

- In L&C Industry I'm going for half of the Nanotube Foundry, Artificial Wood Furniture and Home Robotics.

- Agriculture has 2 Die on Blue Zone Aquaponics and 2 Die on Vertical Farming for enough Food to do stuff next turn. Also 2 Die on Poluticeplants and Wadamalaw autocompletes the turn after this and we have so much stuff we need to do elsewhere.

- Tiberium is about doing Vein Mines, Green Zone Intensification, the plan is called The Green Line and I suspect we will run into a soft lock for Vein Mines/Boreholes in how much Green Zone we have nailed down, doing the better Tiberium Silos and a Security Review because with both Military and Agriculture done it's Tiberium and Infrastructure that haven't been examined in 10 Turns now.

- Orbital is about trying to complete Colombia Phase 4 and Shalla Phase 2 while trying to also get the Gravitic Shipyard.

- Services goes 1 Die on Regional Hospital Expansions, 2 Die on Kamisuwa to get those better eye implants and 1 Die on Prototype Biosculpt as promised to Derpmind.

- Military is about Zrbite Sonic Weapons Development, Orca Wingmen being deployed, Ground Forces Zone Armor continuing to be rolled out, the start of the GD-3 Deployment and researching the Buckler Shields. This to your liking @Nottheunmaker?

- Security Reviews in both Tiberium and Infrastructure with 2 Die each to make sure they are both clean.

[X] Plan Attempting To Grow Cat Ears And Build Hospitals

With the number of sectors which are impacted by the alloy foundries (much more than I though) I won't post my draft no alloy plan.

I'm sincerely concerned that we may be about to run out of things to do in Services that aren't just "build AEVAs." I have no idea what's left gated behind things there. Do you have any speculations? I've been worrying about it for a while; Services as a category just seems to be pretty picked over.
Well firstly, new projects in Services will keep popping up so long as our squidy overlord makes them up, so running out of them is probably impossible. Even then, having nothing but AEVAs to build means we're doing a fantastic job in caring for the people of GDI, and that something cool is gated behind all the AEVAs.

But of things I'm certain will be showing up, we have the projects courtesy of Nod tech rolls. With the Auto Doc we can drastically increase the number of patients our doctors and nurses can handle, might open a door to better field medicine, and with the knowledge of its use for installating cybernetics, we could start looking at the next generation of GDI prosthetics or even cyberaization. There the stuff in the Nod Biowarfare, which is likely mostly just counter Biowarfare, but could have limited genetic engineering applications, and Nod Human Genetic Augmentation, of which Biosculpting might not even be part of and is probably just the tip of the iceberg. Might also see something out of Poltus Plant deployment, maybe the start of medigel. Maybe somehow dovetail that with Spider Cotton to make a plant with fibers that can be directly woven into disinfecting bandages.

I don't really see what's to worry about. Even if we did run out of everything to do besides AEVAs, the Heavy Industry, Tiberium, Agriculture and Military departments could all really use them.
- Military is about Zrbite Sonic Weapons Development, Orca Wingmen being deployed, Ground Forces Zone Armor continuing to be rolled out, the start of the GD-3 Deployment and researching the Buckler Shields. This to your liking @Nottheunmaker?
It's met my requirements, though I'm not a fan of the GD-3. I'll add it to my list.

-[X] Tiberium (7/7 Dice, +38 bonus, 125 R)
--[X] Tiberium Vein Mines (Stage 4+5) 65/375 (4 dice, 80 R) (Stage 4, 82% Stage 5)
--[X] Intensification of GZ Harvesting (Stage 8) 4/95 (1 die, 15 R) (63% chance)
--[X] Tiberium Processing Refits (Phase 5) 6/95 (1 die, 20 R) (65% chance)
---[X] NOTE: Planning to swap this out for tiberium silos before the vote closes, but discussion on this is pending.
--[X] Security Review
The total cost of the projects here is 115R, not 125R. And the total budget of the plan is 1135R out of 1150R available. Given you've said you made a number of choices in your plan for budget reasons, you may want to make some changes.

Basically yes. The sooner we get them the better!
Well, I'm not sure I agree, myself. But there's a good reason I created an alternative version without the Service AEVA instead of just changing the main version of Attempting To Grow Cat Ears. I know there are people who won't prefer the 'more medical and Military' version to the 'Service AEVA' version, and I respect that.

Second, Erewhon needs to do Occult Studies. I have to see that writeup. I'm not wed to doing that this turn in case there are more pressing matters, but if you have any other type of die on it I'm not voting for your plan.
If we wait until next turn, we can do it for in-quest Halloween. :D

So what bays are available for the Columbia?
We don't know, any more than we knew the exact options for Enterprise (arguably, we know less). But the most likely options include multiple types of space housing (with a tradeoff between luxury and "how many people will fit here"), also an orbital hotel, also a space park.

Honestly, it's mostly just kind of a fretful frustrator for me that there are very few ways to use Services dice at less than 20 R/die, and that the Services category seems to have lost some of the diversity of public-facing actions it used to have. Maybe that's a function of GDI's overall budget rising so that our education and welfare departments are now handling all their own projects, I dunno.

The total cost of the projects here is 115R, not 125R. And the total budget of the plan is 1135R out of 1150R available. Given you've said you made a number of choices in your plan for budget reasons, you may want to make some changes.
...Thank you.

That's a holdover from when I had one die budgeted for a notional 30 R/die anticipated cost for refinery refits. I switched that to a 20 R/die project and didn't update the costs the way I usually do.

ALL RIGHT, EVERYONE, LOOKS LIKE SHUTTLES ARE BACK ON!

(Also, I am editing the plan to build silos that will be useful for many years, as opposed to refitting refineries we've already promised the prime minister that we're going to tear down again 2-3 years from now)

On a natural 1, human stupidity finally breaks Erewhon's mind irretrievably. On a natural 100, Erewhon becomes a robo-sorcerer and summons the ghost of Abel to incessantly yell "SERIOUSLY WHAT THE FUCK, DUDE" at Kane continuously for the next thousand years.

No middle ground.

The total cost of the projects here is 115R, not 125R. And the total budget of the plan is 1135R out of 1150R available. Given you've said you made a number of choices in your plan for budget reasons, you may want to make some changes.
I hope it will please you to learn that in the baseline Attempting To Grow Cat Ears plan, I decided that out of regard for the wishes of the many people who've verbed that particular noun...

I am putting the 10 R on Agriculture, using it to shift two of my six Vertical Farming dice to work on Dairy Ranches instead.

Rakuhn made an excel sheet to calculate all of the discounts from alloys for Ithilith, it does not include the new projects that I uploaded to google sheets:
docs.google.com

Project_Discount_Calculator.xlsx

Sheet1 Project,Category,Type,Discount,Unrounded Discount,New Progress Target,Difference,Original Target,Prior Progress,# SA Phases,Category,Type,Type,Discount,Total Progress Discount,Total Progress Infrastructure,N/A,N/A,,,,,1,AIs and VIs,None,N/A,N/A,1965,50270 Blue Zone Arcologies (Stage 4),A...
I think it can be of use to plan makers to see exactly what projects get discounts and what the percentage is without them having to do the math themselves.

Seems fine to me. If the current refits are literally pointless then might as well do something else that might be useful later.

And dairy farms are fine. It's a plan goal and we need to knock those out in agriculture since that big reforestation mega project dropped on us.

Oh my poor modified plants. Just when there was time to do you...

I think if there was a problem we needed to worry about, we'd have some kind of narrative indication.

…I just have to say how delighted I am that no plan without potential catgirls/foxgirls even came into spitting distance of winning.
We may have different opinions, we may argue, but we all are nerds at heart here!

@Simon_Jester The vote tally is currently counting your updated Plan as a separate Plan. (With only one vote.) I believe you need to edit the post with the original Plan for the tally to count it, but TBH I'm not sure if that would fix it or not.

I think the vote tally determines which Plan is correct by finding the first post with the full Plan vote, even if the same user makes a later post with a dfferent version. But that's just my best guess currently.

I should note that the vertical farms are also a Plan goal, in effect. We need 40 Consumer Goods from Agriculture. Unless Shala counts towards that (and we haven't been told it does, not that I recall), then... Well, we get eight from caffeinated kudzu, eighteen from the dairy ranches, and some from the tail end of our late 2050s expansion of the perennial aquaponics bays- optimistically, ten, if I read the 2062Q3 turn post rightly. Maybe more like six or eight if I'm reading it wrong.

At least a phase or two of Vertical Farms is quasi-mandatory just to hit the target unless we can count production from Shala, and personally I think we should be doing 2-3 phases of the project whether it's required or not, because it expands production of some of the things people genuinely want.

and we need to knock those out in agriculture since that big reforestation mega project dropped on us.

Ehh, we have (counting this present turn) 84 Agriculture dice left to roll. There's plenty to do the good stuff and the reforestation megaproject and modified plants.

Yes, that is how it works.

Ehhh.. Simon, as of now Tally counts your old version with Refits and without Dairy from here:

And not an updated one from here:

Do we need to do something to change that?

Thanks for the heads-up, both of you. I'll get to the bottom of it and fix it either in the next few minutes, or the next few hours. Not sure which at this moment as I write this.

(EDIT: Aaaand fixed!)

No, I mean to say that completing Columbia phase 3 should have made an option for Columbia bays available in the Q3 2062 post. And yet there is no description of the now available bays.

Ah.

Well, to be fair, even if there was a description, I'm not sure we'd be building them right now, but I definitely wouldn't say 'no' to a look at that information.

Pretty sure we decided as a thread to vote on what bays to have after they were all available. That's how it worked for Enterprise anyway.
Strictly, that decision was only about Enterprise, I think, but I can see good reasons to do it for the other stations too.

In-game, the entire point of the bays' existence was to permit customization over and above the basic frame of the five-phase station itself. It wouldn't make a lot of sense to specify and plan out the bays while the station is still very far from complete.
