Remaining Funds (assuming I didn't fuck up my math): 105 R

Aight! New-And-Improved Plan! Here's my reasoning:

Infrastructure: Slight change from the old plan more in line with the current conversation; finish the Archology so we don't just let it linger, run a security review, and dump the rest into Suborbital Shuttles for more Logi, dropping the Metros for now. Nothing too objectionable here, I think.

Heavy Industry: Decent shift here, putting 4 Dice on Alloy Foundries as opposed to the 2 from before. Much as part of me dislikes doing so, they are really good, so I'm putting as many as I can spare on them. With 4 dice, we're working with 248 progress, and I'm fairly hopeful/confident we can get 250 progress on 4 dice. And then 2 dice on New Power Plant Development to try and guarantee we'll know what we're dealing with for these new plants next turn.

Light and Chemical Industry: Nothing changed here: Threw one dice on Artificial Wood cause we already started it and it seems popular, one on Reykjavik to keep chipping away at that big ol' number, and 3 on hopefully getting more Cap Goods. Not much to say.

Agriculture: Pulled out the project that'll complete automatically, and pulled a dice off of AgriMech to get started on slow-rolling reforestation. other than that, attempting one more phase of AgriMech to get a nice food-buffer, and a phase of Vertical Farms for more 'High-Quality' Foodstuff we need for the Plan. But I'd be willing to shift things around here without much fuss, outside the vertical farms. I wanna keep those.

Tiberium: Little change here: pulled out the Green Zone intensification for a Security Review, but other than that it's the same bar some altered progress numbers. I wanna get the new refineries online so we can get more STUs, since there are a lot of projects coming up that'll need them.

Orbital: And here's my Big Shift from what most others will likely do. I pulled most of the dice off of the Stations, keeping 2 on Collumbia and 3 on Shalla each to keep work flowing (since no one wants to see work stop here, even if I have other primary objectives this quarter), as well as 1 to get our Conestoga design out, but the bulk of the Orbat dice this turn are devoted to the Fusion Ship Bay for the Enterprise. A Whole 6 dice to ideally get her done in 1 turn.

Why you may ask?

Well, the Fusion Bay is meant to expand our Earth-Luna limited fleet of Fusion-Haulers, which will be critical for when we start massively expanding our Orbital Population as we are going to do over this plan. This combines with the completion of the prerequisite SEC Quest research we waited on for the Conestoga research. I want to get the Fusion Bay built before the Gravatic Bay, and IMO it also makes more sense to build the Gravatic Bay after we finish designing the Conestoga, so ideally this plan would let us 1-turn the Fusion Bay so it can start pumping out haulers to support Earth-Luna transit, then next turn we can rush the Grav Yard before we switch back to full-sending the Columbia and Shala. Get our Void Fleet trucking along before things get too crowded up here.

(And yes, for the record, this is one of my new 'Things' that I've chosen to hyperfixate on now that the GD-3 Has been designed. Actual deployment can wait for a little bit while I focus on these new shinies, especially with how expensive it's turned out to be and everything else we need Mil dice for)

Services: Shifted this one to do the Funny X-Files Option to feed Seo's Mad Science! meter and put the rest of the dice on the Optical Lab to try and finish it off so we can hopefully get people better prosthetic eyes in the somewhat-foreseeable future.

Military: My Military plan isn't too out there, I think, compared to other people or my own Orbital Plan (Note: I dropped Infernum Refits to add dice to Zone Armor and Orca Drones). Zrbite dev to help prepare for ZOCOM's next big push, the Orca Wingmen that everyone seems to want (which I think 5 dice should be enough for good odds in getting them 1-turn) two dice to keep chugging away at GF ZA, and Medium Plasma for the Talon Dice. The 'outlier' is the Transorbital Fighters. Those bois are another 'Thing' for me ATM, and I think it makes sense to develop them at the same time as the Fusion Yard and Conestoga so that there can (hopefully) be a degree of information exchange so these first-gen fighters will be not-terrible. Also, getting something in space that could contest the orbital in the event of Xenos is important now that we're gonna have significant populations and shipping up there. So, now seems as good a time as any to get them ready. Plus, they are also a Plan Goal, so that's another good reason to do the project.

Bureaucracy: Not much to say here, the 2 Security Reviews people want and an AA dice to try and help Shala catch up to the Conestoga. Honest Work.

I don't know any of the percentages for stuff I'm mainly eyeballing things so please don't eviscerate me.

This took me a while to balance and write out.

[X] Plan: Alloys and Steady Progression

-[X] Infrastructure (5 dice, +36 bonus) 115R
--[X] Communal Blue Zone Arcologies 328/395 1 die 15R 85%
--[X] Suborbital Shuttle Service (Phase 2+3) 22/430 4 dice 100R 22%

Thoughts: Polishing off the Communal will get that done, and we need more and more Logistics.

-[X] Heavy Industry (6+5 Free dice, +33 bonus) 300R
--[X] U Series Alloy Foundries (Phase 2) 116/575 6 dice 240R 79%
--[X] Improved Continuous Cycle Fusion Development 0/120 2 dice 40R 96%
--[X] Personal Electric Vehicle Plants 175/295 2 dice 20R 93%
--[X] Security Review 1 die

Thoughts: Given just how many projects are benefiting from the U-Alloys discounts, we should push through another at the very least. Given that it's not entirely clear how much STUs we'll be bringing in (and the expensiveness), I'm reticient about doing anything more ATM. The CCF Development will help us take a look at the potential Energy gains there, and the EV Plants mean more Consumer Goods and Logistics!

-[X] Light and Chemical Industry (5 dice, +23 bonus) 65R
--[X] Artificial Wood Furniture Plants 33/95 2 dice 20R 99%
--[X] Home Robotics Factories (New) 0/145 3 dice 45R 97%

Thoughts: We put a lot of money on the above, so the Furniture and Robotic Factories give us some cheap easy Consumer Goods. Also we should wait a turn or two and let the additional U-Alloy discounts flow in on the bigger projects.

-[X] Agriculture (6+2 Free dice, +28 bonus) 105R
--[X] Blue Zone Aquaponics Bays (Phase 6+7) (Updated) 18/270 4 dice 40R 91%
--[X] Vertical Farming Projects (Stage 3) 74/235 3 dice 45R 96%
--[X] Tarberry Development 0/40 1 die 20R 100%

Thoughts: Food, glorious food! Seriously, I'd rather bulk out what we have just a bit more before we start working on the Dairy Ranches, especially since I'm not sure how much longer we'll be dealing with the per turn loss from refugees. And Tarberries to see how that'll help on the Energy front.

-[X] Tiberium (7 dice, +38 bonus) 125R
--[X] Tiberium Vein Mines (Stage 4) (Updated) 60/190 2 dice 40R 93%
--[X] Intensification of Green Zone Harvesting (Stage 8+9) 4/190 3 dice 45R 97%
--[X] Tiberium Processing Refits (Phase 5) 6/95 2 dice 40R 100%

Thoughts: Vein Mines are good. You may be wondering, why not IHG? Well, the Alloys are expensive, and so when balancing them out I decided this would be the best way to save money right now.

-[X] Orbital (7 dice, +33 bonus) 140R
--[X] GDSS Columbia (Phase 4) (Updated) 138/545 5 dice 100R 78%
--[X] GDSS Shala (Phase 2) (Updated) 50/135 2 dice 40R 100%

Thoughts: One phase each of these should keep progress rolling along.

-[X] Services (4 dice, +31 bonus) 70R
--[X] Regional Hospital Expansions (Phase 1) 213/300 2 dice 50R 99%
--[X] Prototype Biosculpt (New) 0/40 1 die 15R 100%
--[X] Occult Investigations (New) 0/30 1 die 5R 100%

Thoughts: I would have done AEVA, but this is a much cheaper way of filling up the Mad Science Meter than Tiberium Spikes.

-[X] Military (8+E dice, +30 bonus) 200R
--[X] Advanced ECCM Development 0/40 1 die 20R 100%
--[X] Orca Wingmen Drone Deployment (Phase 1) 4 dice 80R 91%
--[X] Ground Forces Zone Armor (Set 1) (Phase 4+5) 155/350 2 dice 40R 33%
--[X] Medium Tactical Plasma Weapon Deployment 0/75 1+E dice 60R 91%

Thoughts: Getting the Orcas and more Zone Armor rolling, and crossing more military techs off our list.

-[X] Bureaucracy (4 dice, +28 bonus)
--[X] Security Review: Heavy Industry 2 dice
--[X] Interdepartmental Favors 1 die
---[X] Steel Talons: Deploy Medium Tactical Plasma Weapons by the end of 2062: +5 Political Support
---[X] Air Force: Deploy all Orca Wingman Drones before the end of this plan: +5 Political Support
--[X] Predictive Modeling Management 1 die

Thoughts: Important to check in on our U-Alloys and other stuff here, and we should get PMM to avert bad rolls. And calling in political favors for low hanging fruit can't hurt.

TOTAL: 1150R (1125 + 25 from Reserve)

OK. Let's see.

Looks like alloys are pretty great. Especially since they seem to discount themselves as well.

I feel that knocking out alloys first is the way forward now. The discounts just help everything.

Need to research the next fusion plants as well.

We need to finish off the communal housing project then do logistics stuff to build that up.

If we are doing alloys as fast as possible then delaying Reykjavik and knocking out smaller projects like nanotubes makes sense.

I am so unhappy about the new agriculture super project. I really thought we could get some stuff done there... ah well. I'd suggest knocking out the dairy farms and any other required projects before working on reforestation. And some dice on poulticeplants or spider cotton until one of them finishes.

More mines.

More work on the stations.

The AEVA for services.

Wingmen.

A mad science project. Probably occult or new animals.

Lots of little stuff to knockout while building up the big discounts from alloys. After they complete it's time to focus on the much cheaper mega projects.

So, a variant on CrazyCryoDude's alliterative plan, swapping some dice to Zone armor, doing biosculpts to shamelessly shill for certain people's votes, and against my better judgement adding an AA die to get a bit more on Reforestation.

I would prefer to have one plan with AEVA of HI but 5 die and above on Alloy is good for me

[x] Plan: Alloys and Steady Progression

[ ] Second Generation Repulsorplate Development (Tech) (New)
While the first generation plates work, they are fundamentally less than useful in the overall scheme of things. Too inefficient, too power intensive, too fragile. However, the program has proven useful, with serious field testing operating in parallel with continued laboratory work, and it appears likely that it is possible to build significantly more effective repulsorplates in the near future.
(Progress 0/60: 20 resources per die)
Why hello there! I would really like to vote for a plan that has you.
[ ] Prototype Biosculpt (New)
Ranging from cat ears to enhanced ankle and knee articulation, there are quite a number of soft tissue options found across nature that can be mimicked for human use without requiring special cellular or extracellular structures. While not all are likely to be successful, especially at this early prototype stage, implanting specifically engineered tissue will play a significant role in the broader ability to allow individuals to redefine themselves.
(Progress 0/40: 15 resources per die) (MS)
And also you, because I like cat ears.
[ ] Occult Investigations (New)
Or you, but only if Erewon is doing it. Outsider perspective makes for good flavor!
[ ] Low Orbit Support Satellite Constellations
Given the other MS options, I'd prefer this to orbital nuke caches - get our stealth detection game going a bit harder. Lots of fun stuff in mil though, as always.
[ ] Aberdeen Isolinear Fabricator (Phase 1)
Strongly like this as well, for narrative effects as much as the capgoods (we really want the capgoods tho). With our iso crits, amping up production is the first step towards implementing some really over the top denoising for our communications and sats, which would be super super good for the drone meta. And everything else, really.

I think that taking dice away from Orca wingmen to produce more Zone Suits is a pretty bad choice, currently there's more suits in circulation than can actually be used and most of the factories are still spooling up. Plus Ground Forces has been getting a lot of love for... basically since we decided military funding was worthwhile, the Navy and Air Force both need the investment in drones more than pumping up the army ever-higher. Orca drones are a nice little "helps everybody" project too, the army still benefits from having 200% more CAS on tap etc.

1135/1150 R Budget (1125 Income + 25 Reserve)
7/7 Free dice
1/1 Erewhon die

Edit:
Projected Budget Q3 (Average): 1125 (Current) + 15 (Rollover) + 30 (Vein Mines 4) + 30 (Vein Mines 5) * 86% + 10 (GZ Intensification) * 63% = 1202.1 on average
Energy Budget (Worst Case): 35 (Current) - 1 (Communal Arcologies) - 4 (Alloy Foundries) - 4 (Vert Farms) - 3 (AEVA) - 6 (Orca Drones) - 4 (GFZA) = 13
Capital Goods Budget (Worst Case): 20 (Current) + 2 (DIA) - 2 (Vein Mines) - 4 (AEVA) - 2 (Orca Drones) - 2 (GFZA) = 12

Infrastructure focuses on finishing the Communal Arcologies and rolling out Shuttles.

HI is focused on the Alloys, however it spares 2 dice, one to help Erewhon with the Fusion, because we are getting to the point where we will need it shortly, and one to be locked for the AEVA to help the rollout of the Alloys and later Boston in the long term.

LCI has two goals, continuing the rollout of cheap Consumer Goods projects and getting Carbon Nano Factories to act as a stopgap boost for our Cap Goods.

Agriculture is mostly on getting increased luxury foods for the populace while prepping the groundwork for the Reforestation campaigns.

Tiberium is to continue making more Vein Mines and to get the Processing Refits done so we can get started on the IHG Refits as not only is that a plan goal, but also it is a good option to get more STUs. Also has a die thrown to GZ Intensification for more R and to Security Review for a look at our main money producer.

Orbital is to continue getting our Stations online.

Services is primarily going for the HI AEVA to help speed along our critical projects there, it also grabs a Mad Science project in the form of the Occult. I'd rather grab that one as it is a good idea to see if we can dig into the Tib Psychics and technopaths and into Kane's background.

Military is primarily focused on getting the Orca's out. With some minor investment in the GFZAs and getting Medium Plasma. The former will get us the PS needed to balance out the Occult PS expenditure.

Bureaucracy is focused on the Security Reviews along with grabbing a few things we are likely to do anyway for PS in Interdepartmental Favors.

[gets back from work]

Huh. Vote's open already. I'm gonna do a reaction post, then look things over. The upcoming reaction post will predate any of me even LOOKING at any plans already drafted.

I'm probably going to wait a bit for things to settle down before I vote.
For now, what I'm looking for is
-7 dice in SA
-If we do Occult Investigations, I want Erewhon on it for the flavor.

Which a couple of plans meet.
