[X] Fusion Shipyard
[X] Advanced Materials Bay
[X] Station Bay

My impression is that fusion ships are going to substantially more cargo efficient then gravity ships when operating in earth and lunar space.

Fusion ships will therefore be more useful for building up space industry in the near future, while grav ships are mostly for exploration (and will get better later as the technology improves).

It's looking like station and gravitic bays are way in the lead.

So it looks like the fight is for the third bay between fusion and advanced mats. Which are very close.

Station Bay and Grav-Shipyard are pretty much sure to succeed. Third position is a competition between Fusion Shipyard and Advanced Material Bay, with Fusion slightly winning.

Between the two I think the fusion shipyard trumps the AM bay, both for immediate political consideration and for the comparative industrial benefits. I'm still extremely interested in building some dedicated materials science labs eventually, but it's looking like that will have to be a second or third generation project.

I'm a bit surprised that the Military and Satellite Bays aren't getting a few more votes when we know that there is a Visitor base in the solar system.

I expect we'll be seeing some altered projects for the purpose of fighting off attacks from space next plan. Will be interesting to see what they are.

Economic Buildup in space and the defenses to keep it safe from NOD.

I do want the advanced mats stuff, but I'd rather make a entire station dedicated to it and it's experiments.

Thinking about a advanced science lab put in between a shipyard and station foundry, that is to say industrial applications, rubs me the wrong way.

I want enterprise to be totally dedicated to space industry. Churning out ships and parts like mad for everything else. A blue collar environment.

Advanced materials should be a shiny pristine lab complex station.

So your okay with having a long wait on any specialized space foundries, or not having distributed space foundries, or having to hold off on more advanced Fusion power tech (just a little)?

I think that there would be an option to construct dedicated to the bays we did construct After we already done all the stations. I do hope that the Advmat station will be at least enterprise sized for more materials and efficiency

Pretty much.

It's not like our tech research is going to stop or anything. Stuff on earth is going to keep chugging along. We'll get the advanced mat station eventually.
