...I have been gone for a few days (partly because SV didn´t notify me about there still being active convos for this quest) and already some people are once more going on about supporting those nihilistic nutjobs from the Cult...
I said it before and I say it again: They are dangerous psychos in the making who sisncerely believe that only a "god" can be as great as Garrick has proven to be. Sorry, but I hate that misanthropic BS, plus I have a feeling that they´ll go off the deep end once we give them the slightest bit of support by twisting Garricks words in the most horrid way possible to cultivate and preserve their assumed positions of "chosen disciples of He-on-Gryphus-Peak".
I will veto any future plans that give those maniacs support.

Yeah they weren't and this is being hypocritical as the not japan nation believe that their emperor is a god so why not us I know we don't want to be with the cult but making them more united is much better so we don't have any weakness to the changlings sabotaging us

Their whole rhetoric of "our Emperor is so powerful/wise/whatever...there is no way that he can be a mere mortal" just reeks of a deep disdain for their fellow Gryph and maybe themselves that they vainly try to convince everyone that those *not* of Royal blood are inherently "lesser" somehow.
"You are not to blaspheme our divine lord with your arse in seat like he does...You are to stand until you no longer can like the vermin we all are before Him", essentially

I have a low opinion of religion/divine beings *in general*.
To me, their very concepts are morally bankrupt to the core because they tend to rob humanity of any lasting worth for being o-so-shallow-and-impure in comparison to those literally and figuratively "above us"
They won´t listen to us. They will listen to what their *interpretation of us* tells them.
Does the phrase "God hates fags" ring a bell? Same basic principle, where those in power of that cult will twist everything we ever said to suit their needs.
Simply my observation of how personality cults tend to operate both in RL and in fiction.

Okay, I think your interpretation is super out of touch of what has actually transpired in the quest in regards to the cult. Most notably the use of nihilistic (a belief that life is meaningless) and misanthropic (a dislike of humanity/human society, or griffons in this case), which are tendencies that the cult has never displayed in any capacity. At most they are basically a fan club that takes their adoration to the extreme. There is quite literally no evidence that they nihilistic or misanthropic. I feel like you are clutching at the fact they worship garrick as a god (a trait that is by no means unique to the cult, given that Neighpon actively worships their Emperor and Celestia and Luna probably have a religion about them. Also let's not forget, Divine Ruler worship is not exactly uncommon in human history) and treating it as a smoking gun that they are dangerous/going to become dangerous.
Yeah what he said you know the more you say you don't want to help the cults the more I want to help them since you are not making enough facts that go along what is said in the quest and the cult was made in an omake that was a joke taken form so it's not that bad.

Any group can be pushed to do nasty things under the wrong person, just like how they could be pushed to do great things under the right person.

My point still stands, my dude. I see literally nothing wrong with the Imperial Cult and offering them assistance like any of the other faiths. Like with all religions (real or otherwise), so long as the worship is peaceful then there is quite literally no problem.

That would be embarrassing. Imagine being a mod getting called in to stop fighting about a made up religion in a quest about magical, talking, pastel colored ponies.
I think your writing them off as nutjobs still seems a bit harsh given you don't have any evidence to support your disdain for them other than what they believe (which again, isn't that weird all things considered), but whatever. Agree to disagree.
