Is it possible that the tribes could be Zebras they conquered and enslaved?
Highly unlikely as it was never mentioned that we saw any zebras and with our spy network we would know if they had zebras. So I doubt they had a run In with the zebras. And none of the slaves we ever rescued were zebras just mostly earth ponies.

Now this brings up the question on who the Tribes are that House Storm has been attacking then.

Possible MLP Races we haven't met yet:
-Centaurs?
-Abyssinians (the cat people from the MLPFIM movie, the one that was Capper)
--And whatever else Sapient species that were unnamed in the FIM movie.
-Changelings (PLS)
-More Communal Dragon Groups? (low chance tbh, honestly I feel like House Storm would be a smoking hole in the ground if they pissed off a largish society of Dragons)
-Cyclopes?
-Sphinxes?

I think were putting to much stock into the "tribes" they conquered its most likely just random tribes of earth ponies that they ran into as we had a whole analysis on their population and the only thing besides ponies that we saw was i think diamond dogs other than that nothing else out of the ordinary. And hes not attacking anyone these are tribes that were absorbed by maretonia long before they fractured.

Hippocampi?
Possible nation of Hypogryphs?

Hippocampi would be super cool, but as for the nation of Hippogrphs (which I'm still mildly salty about only being a hidden kingdom and squishing the seaponies into the hippogrph checkbox in the FIM movie but lol, AU), in-universe we've already confirmed that they're a combination of griffons and ponies interbreeding, and afaik griffins weren't scattered that far, so probably no on the second?

Also speaking of hybrids, among the freed slaves are Donkeys, would them having offspring with Ponies result in the same thing that happens irl, Mules, who are typically sterile I wonder? Also would Diamond Dog/Griffon pairs possibly produce Winged Dogs like Ha-Inu??? SO MANY POSSIBILITIES! :3

Fair enough, I just want as much information we can get before we do anything to House Storm.

You know while we cannot intervene directly into this conflict i still wonder why we don't have diplo option to form coalition with our neighbours and the intervene in name of keeping peace.

We probably wouldn't be the only ones to dictate the terms and have gains but we could probably secure most of our goals.

Well we DO have that Mutual Defense pact thing with Neighpon already (I don't think it like, expired or anything; also I'm hoping we drag this thing out long enough not to completely inconvenience too much since they're dealing with whatever the heck's going on between the Caribou Kingdoms & the Emerald Isles), as long as we don't aggress like dicks first, keep building up our relations with Yakyakistan & Canterbury (dat sweet, sweet Trade; maybe finish killing Canterbury's monster infestation problem finally), and keep doing how we're doing now (Minotaur Republics), I think we'll be fine.

EDIT: (Ish, *knocks on wood*)

.... "Looks around, knocks on a wooden desk." Whew. Don't say that, the QM may have rocks fall.

In more serious news, I also want more exploration and discovery. So much profit and boso- profit and trade to be had.

Fair point, tbh I'd be willing to put it on the backburner for well, the exact turn before outright war or whatever. It's just there aren't a ton of Martial options that were super pressing at the moment in the last lineup. Worse comes to worse, we cam imp order on doubling our army right before everything really starts, basically cramming it in at the last second, lol, procrastination at its best. :p

Exactly my idea. We can imperial order the expansion if we really need it.
Also a fair point, could work out pretty well. Maybe instead we could do, the South Exploration (AND FINALLY USE THAT BONUS TO EXPLORATION ROLL THAT'S BEEN GATHERING DUST FOR YEARS; lmao) and the Knights of the Frontier? Or the Cogs, while doubling the army is pretty telling, the ship upgrades might pass under the radar for a bit if not coupled with the army doubling

While I don't really care about giving kestrella its own knight order, it's still an extra group of elite fighters that we can easily justify creating.

Certainly a lot less worrying to them than doubling the army.

And if we explore south we're left with only one unknown place in our continent, the land west of the yaks.

If we're really lucky we might find another enemy of Maretonia there.
Should we send any explorers to see if there are any other nations close by or perhaps some open territory for us or our allies to settle.

Well, there shouldn't be any more land free for grab on the continent (and if there is it's likely too far to be of use to us.

We might find a few islands maybe, but nothing else unless we cross the ocean in search of "the new world".

We could try to deepen our ties with Libertalia, try to annex them. I don't think it's worth it right now though.

If we ever fight something similar to Sombra again i wonder if the cult will gain enough influence for this to be a thing in the army.

The Hippocampi did not exist before the queen of the hippogrifs used their artifact (the pearl) to turn them into hippocampi.

Okay so despite my inability to concentrate on my own WIPs or even on my extensive notes of my overtly-ambitious fic projects that might never be written, I'm suddenly inspired to try churning out another Omake (*cries*). But I need to know, does Maretonia have plumbing? If they did, would it be a Nobles'/Rich families only kinda thing? What's their average level of civilian technology?

Not our kind of plumbing but they are Rome expies so they will have aqueducts, public fountains, bathhouses and the wealthy will have gravity or magic powered running water.

Guys, I say it again:

As things are, we must not do "Hoofbeards Heist" because otherwise we´d tilt the course of war far too much into Storms favor to keep Star in the ring for much longer.

"Cold Case" on the other hand is a must for closure, diplomatic weight and humanitarian benefit...Best keep both in mind.
