Their magic revolves around the growth, shaping and utilization of crystals. Enchanting of objects, the creation of golems, etc. Unfortunately most of their knowledge is either locked away in Sombra's personal archives or was lost when Sombra violently "downloaded" the skills and expertise of crystalmancers throughout the Empire to learn their secrets and fuel his powers. No one but Sombra has actually used magic since his rise to power.
@Questor, since you previously accepted suggestions for intrigue actions... would this be acceptable?
[ ] Lost magic: One of the many things Sombra took from the crystal ponies is their magic. He ripped the expertise out of their minds and hoarded it. Now it falls to Ravensburg's agents to uncover as much knowledge of crystal magic as possible so that it can be preserved. They will have to comb through Sombra's archives and workshops, and with luck might even find abandoned workshops of the crystallomancers he stole from.
Honestly lets give our army some time to rest after all this war then next turn or so we can rebuild it and call the great hunt on. But for now we must deal with the crystal ponies and ensure they are well cared for.
@Questor can you add a Diamond Dog to the adoption action for us. It would look bad if we took in one new race but didn't take one of our most loyal and supportive races.

I honestly dont think they would care we are doing this adoption thing because the crystal ponies are not able to care for themselves not because we like them better than the dogs.

I was actually thinking that, if you do go ahead with the "adopt a pony" thing you might also choose to adopt a Diamond Dog. I could add that in there through, if there is sufficient interest.
But as other people have been saying, you're mostly adopting both out of a desire to give an orphaned child a home and as a symbolic gesture to your people and the Crystal ponies themselves. That you are willing to go out of your way to support them.
My thought was that the material won't actually be studied, only gathered by our Intrigue team who know best where Sombra might have hidden secrets.
Since Archimedes, Genevieve, and or three mages won't be involved, so I don't think it should count as a Learning action.
That adopt a pony option reminded me a bit of my family history.
When my grandpa was a little child he lived in a orphanage in a town in Germany. Thing was, the women that ran the orphanage were religious nutters and children who were sick or, supposedly, preordained to heaven were smothered. One family decided that this open secret could not stay in the shadows any longer and demanded from the major that this evil be stopped. He said that "of course you will take care of one of the children if we do close it."
They put their money where their mouths were and took my grandpa as their own. The rest of the children were taken care of, the evil Witcher chased out, the orphanage burnt down and so begins my family line.
If we choose the "adopt a pony" option, I think that a way to endorse it will be to take one in ourselves. We have done it once already, might be an opportunity to create a family line of Super Butlers or something equally fun.

I think that the gathering of the info can be mixed in with a studying action once the fate of the Crystal Ponies and their Empire is resolved. No need to have separate actions for gathering info and then studying it.
I commend you for the suggestion though, don't hesitate to give suggestions for actions if you think the current list of actions is sparse or missing something.
If we adopt a pony do you think we'd get a bonus to the roll for pony integration? Since the option is literally called setting an example, it feels like it's be appropriate.
... Will we roll for the chance of adopting Radiant Hope? I wouldn't want to deliberately pick her, but if it happens, it would be quite fortunate to adopt the potential Alicorn.

[ ] Son's Socialization: Gawain is brilliant, a fine young ruler in the making. He has excelled in his studies and conducts himself in a manner befitting the Crown Prince of the Empire. He also doesn't really have any friends his own age, outside of his sisters and the children of some of the castle staff, and the latter are more acquaintances than true friends. It might be time to look into introducing him to a peer group. Not only would it be good for him to make friends his own age, it might be advantageous for him to have trusted contacts in certain levels of Imperial society. Cost: 0. Time: One Year. Reward: Gawain makes some friends. Chance to develop future contacts.
[ ] Draconic Past-Time: Gwyndlyn, like her brother before her, is getting to the age where simple playing isn't enough to keep her attention. A hobby to take her interest and teach her some new skills would be a good thing to introduce her to at this point. Time: One Year. Cost: 0. Reward: Gwyndlyn gets a hobby and a new trait.
I feel like these are more necessary than the other personal options.
Don't add to the pool of children we're responsible for raising before devoting the actions to actually raising the ones you have right.
Our heirs are the future. Quality over quantity please.

Titles: Emperor of Gryphus, King of Griffonia, Inheritor of the Imperial House of Gryphus, The Unifier, Great Winged Alpha
Description: Before your wife got her talons on you, you were a fairly typical example of the Griffon species. An unmistakably masculine build, a strong, prominent beak, feathers and fur that seem to be perpetually well-groomed, and a pair of piercing amber eyes hiding a fierce intelligence. Not anymore though. Oh, you still have all those qualities, they're just overshadowed by the massive amount of muscle you've put on since you started your wife's "enhanced training regimen". Your wings can lift dumbbells, and your legs are like tree-trunks supporting a barrel chest rippling with abdominal muscles. In short, you have the build of a person who has been lifting heavy objects his entire life.

Knightly Orders (Self Maintained): In the old Empire, Knightly Orders were typically made up of Griffons of noble birth who joined a fraternal militant organization dedicated to martial excellence, honor, and a number of various edicts of moral strength. These great warriors dedicated themselves to the Emperor and the protection of the common Gryph. Tragically, few of these brave souls survived the reign of Discord. But a new breed of Knights now seeks to serve as your sword and shield, and will rally to your banner whenever you may need them.

???: A friendly and strangely casual Griffon female you met at your inaugural ball. Despite having a wonderful evening chatting with her, you never got her name.
Garibaldi Talonuelli: Formerly the Duke of Wingbardy, now the Grand Duke of Wingbardy, Talonuelli is a beloved public figure in his home province and an experienced administrator. After saving his city and people from Brochard's attempted invasion and negotiating his province's vassalage over a few drinks, you'd like to think you can count him among your friends.
Federico Montefeathertro: Duke of the (former) City-State of Urbirdo, and your Father-in Law. He might just be the friendliest of the former Feathersians, having agreed to back you and your kingdom without question or condition during the Brochard Crisis, and hiring a mercenary outfit as a belated wedding gift. You're reasonably certain he likes you, as much as In-Laws can like each other anyway.
Koryū Ryuō: The draconic Emperor of the Island Kingdom of Neighpon. Having agreed to assist you in the war against the Shadow King and making fast friends with your adoptive daughter, you consider him a decent fellow who you can trust to keep his word, and a valuable ally against any destructive forces the world can throw at you.
Minamoto Tadakatsu: Shogun of Neighpon. Born to peasant farmers, he's more than earned his place as the most powerful Samurai amongst the Qilin. After he lead the Neighponese contingent during the Invasion of the Crystal Empire and kindly instructed you in the myriad varieties and intricacies of tea on the campaign trail, you've come to respect the more-than-century-old leader.
Konrad Hardbeak, "The Kingslayer": Grandmaster of the Knights Lion and Hero of the Empire. Beheaded Brochard the pretender, crippled Sombra the shadow king twice over, and received the very first Imperial Medal of Honor. Despite it all, he is surprisingly humble, insisting in vain that he was, and is, merely doing his duty to the Empire, and to you. He is the very model of an Imperial Knight.

No she never was at least not in the Canon TL. In that one she leaves to study with the Princesses. In this one since Sombra came to power before the Princesses were a thing she is already a adult that would be fairly old at this point, dead after trying to save her friend, or she left to try and find help.
