+20! Legendary Omake! Great characterization of the family dynamic!
Wooo~~! +20! and canon to boot! Yay yay yay~~!

I'm glad you approve. Seeing as I did a rather serious one last time I did something with garrick, thought I'd do a more lighthearted one involving his family.

Probably going to do one on wrestling next...? And then after that see if I can finish up the science one. I don't think I have enough steam in me to get another one out by the time the next update hits tho.

Unless someone else has some ideas they want to shoot at me. If it catches my interest, I'll try my hand at writing it.

100% deserved. Daft punk was an amazing omake.

I was trying to think of how to write Archimedes trying to pump Kaptain Karl Kaboom on info about the explosion to, and I quote:

"Get learned how to make stuff more Explosion-y"

Oh fuck! I just saw that you actually need to request your omake bonus gets used at something!

Good to know. Given that I now have +40 in the bank.

Seems like something that would take a bit of deduction.

I'd assume, as diamond dogs, they'd know about the dangers of lighting fires underground and occasionally suffocating from seemingly nothing, with things like carbon monoxide and the methane he'd not know about, but understands theres something there (maybe some reference to taking canaries into a coal mine). This would probably lead to the assumption that maybe there's different kinds of air, since you can have high humidity air, as in having a lot of water in the air, what to say other things cant be in the air? This would lead to checking places diamond dogs have been warned off (don't go here, its a death zone/don't light fires here), and taking air samples. Following that would be some experimentation in trying to seperate the gases, which would prove.... difficult, really. Dunno how you'd go about trying to get methane seperated and condensed down. Use boiling/freezing points...? That would require tech we don't really have or magic, unless there was some alternate, easier way. I'm not a chemist, so I'd have no clue. But, at the very least, he could go and take the samples and see if there's anything different about the air there. test flamability and what not.

I'm thinking of writing a Diamond Dog Omake.

Need to do a little thinking on how to go about it though.

You can make it about anything. I like slice-of-life omakes for the Diamond Dogs. Really shows how well integrated they are in our Empire now. Also because I tend to try to make them as adorable as possible they are Doggos after all.

we got a lot of information on how to mine and excavate from the diamond dogs when we integrated them. We also use canaries and our minds and make sure people don't die.

I was just reading over some old turn posts. Did we ever find out what happened to Brochard's old spymaster? They did abscond off with Brochard's treasury and a couple thousand gold would have a MASSIVE effect on the economy unless it's just being sat on somewhere. Given our successes in intrigue lately we can probably discount Sombra collaboration, and probably the yaks. Where could they have gone?

Nope they got away clean

They are also almost certainly that mysterious female Gryf we met.

Thanks to our crit successes in both exploration and first contact with the Qilin, we actually have a unique option for Gwyndlyn. She may not be a divine dragon, but I'm sure they would be honoured to send a tutor to teach her about her innate fire and magic.

That should satisfy those who want her to go full martial, since she can use it in combat, while also including study, philosophy, and probably meditation.

It wouldn't make her a better regent, but at least it should prevent the problems arising with a singular focus on war.

Since gryphons are inherently non-magical it's a unique shiny, and we know voters can't resist those :p

Family visits to Neighpon might even allow her to meet one of their divine dragons, so it opens up new personal actions.

No one said we wanted her to be full martial at all. We said that we haven't gotten to her secondary education option yet, and that a second martial is an option just like a second Learning option was for our son. Our daughter is still several years away from getting the choice.

I haven't forgotten about them, though Garrick and Ravenburg have had bigger priorities as of late. Make no mistake, that missing gold and missing Griffon will make an appearance later...

we should acceleration the Sabotage and do some raids into the Southlands as the way i read Sombra character from the Omake not very bright but very arrogant and his control of the entirety of his slaves has limits
and he is the only thinking mind there so he must rely on pre existing infrastructure as he is unable to remake it without spend a lot time on it
and his slaves have a high attrition rate as there work conditions are poor and they are stavning so replacing his army while keeping everything else running will take decades

Ik with both rolls being 98 we should be able to be good friends right off the bat. Hopefully. And we can maybe get another ally to help with our bastard to the south.

The meet the Qilings option is the one we sacrificed a personal action to do right? Who wants to bet Garrick accidentally charmed some Qiling maidens with his good looks and Magnificent physique.

So would anyone here like to upgrade our exploration ship and equipment so that our explorers can go further to find other lands beyond the Qilin, Yak, and Sombra's borders?
