@Questor i would like to ask somethings. For one how do those static flamethrowers work in more detail by static do you mean stationary or something else? Second I would like to know if we could get a bit more of a stat for our troops like something from Dynasty of Alcoholism with defense, mobility/speed, attack so we could get a better idea of the difference in quality of our troops we don't know HOW better are knights are then our standard soldier just that we know that they are. Third how is the blizzard effecting flying and is it getting stronger the closer we get to Sombra. Just some questions so we can better plan.

Well HE IS a reality warper not like anyone could stop him (I found that stupid Changeling throne thing to just be a massive plot device as to not make this entire threat meaningless due to discord's god powers)at least this one will probably be explained in the next update i think, where we actually get to make some choices about the coming battle.

i want one of our hero units to be better at warping reality than discord at some point, just to prove that it's possible

I highly dount we would ever get that and even if we did it would be impossible to get better then discord who can alter readily on a whim and if he was not held back by his personality could snap his fingers and everyone would just explode into paste.

Discord killed off the old gods or was so powerful the old gods abandoned us. It is very unlikely we will ever be able to match him for power. We will need to find other ways to stop him. Trying to fight a god with just power is boring as hell. We are going down the science and magi-tech line so let's make stuff that can cancel his powers, or seal him away again.let's do it anyway.

We already have a fucking cannon we are already thousands of years ahead of them in cannon anyway this is a narrative for all we know we will find that earth ponies over through the magic people with automatic crossbows (that are infact a real thing in history and not just hand held version a mounted automatic crossbow not unlike machine guns the romans used these)

Yeah but I'm afraid of if we end up steamrolling everything I prefer these kinds of moments we're in we're we are freaking the fuck out with a enemy stronger then we are and I really don't want Sombra to just be a one time thing as Advent has been saying for a while about being a thorn in our side for years is much more eventful then just one time threat.

I SERIOUSLY doubt this is gonna be a short war, like the gm said this is gonna be a challenge so unless the dice swing WILDLY in our favor this war is gonna go on for some time hell this one battle is gonna take a couple of updates alone.

Yep this war is going to last a few years at least. Then the most likely outcome is Sombra heading back to the Crystal Empire to recover his force and try again at a later time. We are going to get a series of wars against him until we gather enough allies and power to finally take him down. At a minium we will need the Yaks, Neighpons, our DDogs actually having some sort of magic, some form of magic resistant gear, someond to attack Sombra from a second front far away from us, and probably an expanded territory and pop to win fully against Sombra.

Sounds like fun and it would mostly likely end in a MASSIVE siege of the city fighting are way to Sombra and slaying him.

Most likely won't be us. It will be during our son's reign or our grandchild's. Also even if we were the badass fighter in our next ruler going to face Sombra on any kind of equal footing is a stupid and suicidal idea. We are more likely to blowup the entire city instead or something like that.

Too far away never make them unless we spend the next 1000 years or so at war. Also very much overkill because we want the land afterward not a radioactive wasteland.. We will need to use conventional explosives and fire bombs. As for what we use to carry them we need to invent the Zeppelin. The German Zeppelin only blew up because they had to use hydrogen due to a helium embargo placed on them after all. We like any other sane group of people who make our airships using helium or some sort of magi-tech later on but first helium.
