Hahaha, whoops :lol

I wonder if they'd be open to assistance in tracking them down.

Well then... we might want to design a battleship next turn, so we can have the firepower needed to be able to fight off the renegades if needed.

Mmm. I feel like we can leave this as an internal Zeon matter quite frankly. It'll stop them from trying anything particularly stupid and quite literally doesn't cost us anything. The Space Fascists made this bed by seizing power, now they can lie in it.

Turn 4 UC 0079.04
Political Actions (pick up to 2)
Steps have been taken, but there is still much work to be done.

[] Contact the Jupiter Energy Fleet- It's time to find out were the enigmatic "Men from Jupiter" stand (DC??)

[] Sway the neutral Sides- Exactly what it says on the tin. (DC varies)

[] Establish an Ethics Committee- Wait we don't have one? We should probably fix that. (DC medium)

[] Fix "red tape"- Overhauling the bureaucratic infrastructure of the federation is going to be a challenge to say the least. (DC Very Hard) (53% complete)

Military Actions (pick up to 2)
If the there are aliens then there is an alien armada, it's time to prepare for war.

[] Begin GM production (No DC)

[] Begin "Zudah Rider" production (No DC)

[] Ramp up warship production- If we are to fight an intergalactic war, than we are going to need far more warships. (DC Easy to Hard)

[] Design a new ship (Leads to mini vote)

"Diplomacy" Actions (pick up to one)
Cloak and Dagger is distasteful but necessary.

[] Steal Zeon MS designs- We need it more after all. (DC ??)

[] Further reinforce the Spy Core - We have a solid foundation, now is the time to expand (DC??)

[] Counter Ops- What it says on the tin. (DC??)

[] Research "True Zeon"- Know thy Enemy (DC??)

Research Actions (until the alien ship is fully researched you may only pick one)
Knowledge is power.

[] Fleet Tactics- If we are to fight an unknown threat we well need better fleet communication. (DC??)

[] Examine alien "MS"- what it says on the tin. (DC??)

[] Beam weapon miniaturization- We don't know how strong the aliens' armor will be, MS sized Beam Weapons are a must. (DC??)

[] Alien on Ice- well we're not sure if this is a good idea, the alien could have valuable Intel (DC ??) (Free Action)

Alien Ship Actions (pick one)
The big alien wreck on Macross Island (The Zeon Research Team can be assigned to work on the same project, which will lower DC, or a different, which they will complete on their own. Once they are assigned this can not be changed until the project is complete.)

[] Study the engines (DC??)

[] Study the construction (DC??)

[] Study the weapons (DC??)

[] Study the computers (DC??)

Special Actions (must pick one and only one)
Our test pilots report that, when compared to Zeonic MS, the GM falls short in several areas. Perhaps we should rectify this (This will lead to a mini vote)

[] Yes

[] No

Personal Actions (pick one)
Your finding your place in the squad, but you still have a lot of work to do.

[] Train a skill
[] Learn a new skill (write in)

[] Try to get to get to know them better
-[] Who?

(There is now a 3 hour minimum on voting)

[] Contact the Jupiter Energy Fleet- It's time to find out were the enigmatic "Men from Jupiter" stand (DC??)

While kinda tempting, I'd like to wait on doing anything with Jupiter until we have fold drives and the option of jumping a fleet out there to put that asshole Crux Dogatie in his place.

[] Establish an Ethics Committee- Wait we don't have one? We should probably fix that. (DC medium)
[] Fix "red tape"- Overhauling the bureaucratic infrastructure of the federation is going to be a challenge to say the least. (DC Very Hard) (53% complete)

We should focus on the continued reforms of our government first.

[] Begin GM production (No DC)
[] Design a new ship (Leads to mini vote)

Obviously get busy rolling out the GMs across our forces, and I'm thinking that we should design a new battleship.

[] Research "True Zeon"- Know thy Enemy (DC??)

Getting info on these people is a good idea.

[] Beam weapon miniaturization- We don't know how strong the aliens' armor will be, MS sized Beam Weapons are a must. (DC??)

Beam weapons for our MSs would increase their firepower immensely, and it's what MP Gundams is locked behind. I naturally want this bad :D

[] Study the computers (DC??)

I'm thinking computers to get better knowledge about the ship, and it should hopefully unlock some nice techs too.

[] Yes

A better GM? Yes please :D

[]Plan Trade Talks with Sides

-[] Sway the neutral Sides- Exactly what it says on the tin. (DC varies)
-[] Fix "red tape"- Overhauling the bureaucratic infrastructure of the federation is going to be a challenge to say the least. (DC Very Hard) (53% complete)

Basically get the trades, migration, and goodwill talks going while we reform. Need them to contribute for the war when it happens.

-[] Ramp up warship production- If we are to fight an intergalactic war, than we are going to need far more warships. (DC Easy to Hard)
-[] Design a new ship (Leads to mini vote)

Get the ships designed and built, i think this will be the last new ship design as next turn is full MS related.

-[] Counter Ops- What it says on the tin. (DC??)
"Diplomacy" Actions (pick up to one)
-[X] Rebuild the Spy Core - (Results 78 > DC ??)- We now have a functioning Spy Core. (Opens new slot, new actions available)
What was opened here?

-[] Fleet Tactics- If we are to fight an unknown threat we well need better fleet communication. (DC??)
-[] Beam weapon miniaturization- We don't know how strong the aliens' armor will be, MS sized Beam Weapons are a must. (DC??)

Must have beam and fleet done as them are the biggest assets.

-[] Study the construction (DC??)

Massive ship building is a must.

GM-Refit
-[] Yes
Maybe, but we have to see what comes up.

-[] Train a skill (Melee)

What did they fail to build the next MS the Gouf or the Dom?

Edit: I see they lost control of some of their units. Well time to check them out and decide later.

-[] Establish an Ethics Committee- Wait we don't have one? We should probably fix that. (DC medium)
-[] Fix "red tape"- Overhauling the bureaucratic infrastructure of the federation is going to be a challenge to say the least. (DC Very Hard) (53% complete)

-[] Study the weapons (DC??)\Study the computers (DC??) (with the Zeon reseach team assigned on either, depending on what we go for)
-[] Yes
-[] Train a skill (Ranged)

We all ready kinda did that on the first turn, leading to them trading more with us and Zeon. I don't see much benefit to this compared to continuing to work on Red Tape.

I would say it's the Dom, Gouf was very much an in-between product. And Gouf can't do space. :V

Yes i do have red tape work ongoing, i rather have sides talk than ethic committee.

Actually, what we did on turn 1 was to sway the sides into giving us some aid while still keeping their neutrality.

[X] Encourage the neutral Sides to provide aid but stay neutral- (Result 57> DC 25 Result 57> DC 50 Result 57<DC 75 Good success)
Every neutral Side has agreed to provide an portion of their income and war materials, however they are also providing an equal amount to Zeon. (Federation and Zeon both gain a small resource collection bonus.)

Oh whoops, my bad.

I'd rather take the much likely easier action to get the Ethics Committee established than take a shot in the dark with the unknown DC for swaying the neutral Sides.

That's what I mean by kinda did that. We've all ready partially done what VoidZero is hoping to do.

I can understand the feeling, but it is just i don't see what the ethic committee can contribute to our war preparation.

You now have 4 "Diplomacy slots instead of 3.

Oh, i see. It's like 4 choice from the options pool.

I want to go for Ethics Committee because I fear that if we do not go for it as soon as possible, Gihren will try to make use of the fact that we're not making an Ethics Committee in order to paint us in the same light as the Shadow Government and force us into helping Zeon deal with the renegades in exchange for not doing what he did to us on the turn 1 news for a second time. (However, I do admit that I might be overly paranoid here)

I wouldn't worry since we can point out that we are still in the "clean up" phase of reform and people can see the ongoing changes. Also re your plan, i would do counter-op before we expand the spy core again.

Hmm, if i'm reading the intent of an ethics committee right, it would prevent any shady research from occurring that could get us in trouble when it comes to light. Which would save us actions dealing with any scandals that result.

Am I reading that right, @manofjay ?

Yes, in addition the first run GMs had quite a few problem performance wise, as even with the Gundam data and a more powerful reactor, the Zaku was still a better Suit over all.
What? Are we talking about different suits here, because the RGM-79 is way better than the Zaku II.

Yes.

The problem that most comes to mind when thinking of the GM is user unfriendly-ness and control input lag.
