This is Morathi we're talking about. Founder and head of the Pleasure Cults, whether in Ulthuan or Naggarond, and probably the oldest living Slaanesh cultist on Mallus. I'm doubtful the concept of 'too much pain' even exists as a facet of reality in her life.I did say if we were very lucky in the white room, like say if Morathi eats a hit from Kragg's belt and then Mathilde stabs her when she is in too much pain to focus properly.

"""An announcement from the Emergency Meeting of the Ancestor Cult Conclave of the Karaz Ankor, hosted in Karaz-a-Karak.
After certain confidential information was vouchsafed to this body by a source of undoubtable repute, a Grudge is hereby leveled against the being, spirit, force, ancestor, demiurge, and/or anthropomorphic personification commonly known as Ranald, believed to originate somewhere in our about the continent called The Old World, for the crime of theft of a disembodied Dwarven soul, which has subsequently been incarnated in the form of an Umgi.
Reparation or vengeance for said Grudge is to be postponed pending the full and proper evaluation of the consequences of those actions, which may be considered to mitigate, in whole or in part, those actions.
Witnessed and entered into the Book of Grudges by the High King.
Zharr-Naggrund yes, but there's no mention of Ghrond. One of the interesting backstories of the setting is Ikit Claw's, who travelled the world to learn the secrets of magic, including, IIRC, spending decades spent working alonfside the masters of Zhar-Naggarund and learning secrets of dark magic from the sorceresses of Ghrond. Alongside stealing secrets from the mystics of Cathay and studying the magical architecture and machines of the lizard men.
I wonder what he paid the Daemonsmiths and Dark Covenant for training...
Pretty good but the lack of capitalization on anything other than names doesn't help.
Still need to run a few edits then, i'm less then familiar with capitalization rules, is it only sentence starts that are missing or are there more?Pretty good but the lack of capitalization on anything other than names doesn't help.
"I" should be capitalized, when it's the word I.Still need to run a few edits then, i'm less then familiar with capitalization rules, is it only sentence starts that are missing or are there more?
You capitalize the starts of sentences, the word "I" and derivatives like "I'm" and "I'll", and proper nouns (names of a specific person or place). Here's a good rundown: CapitalizationStill need to run a few edits then, i'm less then familiar with capitalization rules, is it only sentence starts that are missing or are there more?
So Roswita, and not the Emperor. On a separate note, this means that King Kazador might be sending a letter to the Emperor. As Mathilde is clanless and without immediate family, but still knighted, any intentions to court her would have to go by her direct liege.
Point, but as it's a rather formal request I think it'd go by the emperor's diplomats.
If we want to learn Runecraft, we might find more luck in Karag Dum, if it still stands and its Runemasters still live. They were seemingly more radical before it was cut off, and I can't imagine spending two centuries in the Chaos Wastes would decrease that radicalism. If we manage to earn enough of their favour, they could agree to buck the tradition some more.

She's now a Dwarf so there should be no impropriety with attempting to get one of his sons with her.
inb4 a bewildered Panoramia finds herself being challenged to duels by Kazador's other sons for Mathilde's hand in marriage, Kazrik claps her on the shoulder in solidarity at the shenanigans of his family.Point, but as it's a rather formal request I think it'd go by the emperor's diplomats.
While definitely true, it should be noted that "believed" in this case is very much a "because I really don't want to think about what the alternatives would mean".Similarly, Kasmir believed Abelhelm is with Sigmar, not in Morr's gardens.
Well obviously one in the Glittering Realm is secured beyond the reach of thieves, but one of the poor unfortunates in the Warp who never received proper rites might not be.People are assuming Ranald would have stolen a soul from Gazul, but my money would be more on him stealing one that was in trouble otherwise—you know, grab it on a lark when otherwise pilfering from an asshole god and set it to reincarnate human cause it's funny. Keep half an eye on it just to see what happens, maybe throw a few coincidences her way to keep things from getting too boring or ending early.
Then things start getting interesting. Like, more so than he could have anticipated. And he supports her and eggs her on all the way, because it's Ranald and why not?
And now it's gotten to the point where the string of events and consequences is weird and implausible for him, and all the sudden the dwarf gods take notice. And have no real concept of who owes what to whom.
Right, I agree completely. But the subject under discussion was someone's assertion that Mathilde would want her soul to go to Ranald, and then someone's objection that Ranald isn't a god of the dead. Whether Ranald or Sigmar or whoever can objectively and truly take care of people's souls after they die is immaterial, pun 100% intended: the question is whether or not Mathilde, a devout person within the setting and without access to the sourcebooks, would believe that Ranald can do this. And I think that's pretty likely. While definitely true, it should be noted that "believed" in this case is very much a "because I really don't want to think about what the alternatives would mean".
Kasmir asked various Morrite priests to try and figure out what happened to Abel's soul and got no definitive answer. He then chose to believe that Sigmar let Abel die because the Count was urgently needed in Sigmar's own realm, partly because it's one of the few ways a Sigmarite can explain what happened at Abel's fall and partly because if a soul doesn't end up with either Sigmar or Morr it usually means something horrible is happening to them.
Of course, this is still means that Kasmir 100% believes that Sigmar can and will take care of wayward souls. It's just that, in true priest fashion, he has no proof for Abel's location beyond Faith.
Tangentially, if there's any truth to the contention that Mathilde has a repatriated dwarf soul, my bet is on "repentant Dawi Zharr who wanted out of that pit of bad news." Stealing from under Hashut's nose fits Ranald pretty well.
