Having a really great time right now
Are there any wizards daft enough to wander into Ironclaw territory on their own?
I'd hope the answer is 'no' but I honestly have no idea.

The DO might easily assume we have a party nearby, but the jump from that to "time to prep for fighting an army" seems tenuous. Are there any wizards daft enough to wander into Ironclaw territory on their own?

If he throws us in the air we cast skywalk and laugh at himIf the dragon ogre throws us into the air and we die from the fall would the rune activate and hit the dragon ogre?
How long does it take to cast skywalk though?
About 10 seconds/1 round in the rpg, but it takes effect as you start casting.
Thats like right up Journeyman territory, especially Grey Journeymen who have Take No Heed to rely on.Are there any wizards daft enough to wander into Ironclaw territory on their own?

Not exactly. If you go by TT, their Movement stat, (and base stats at least tend to fit with fluff most of the time...same for WS) Warhorses are faster.Ah, you mean that DO can sprint faster than horse regardless of terrain? If so, yeah, we'll have to get creative.
The idea that this is not our mission is silly. We're going ahead to scout for enemies. We shouldn't ignore enemies because we encountered them sooner than we were told to.We should ignore it and move on to the port, this dragon ogre could easily be alone and not doing anything of importance meaning following it could easily result in nothing.
The best case scenario if we do follow it is that it leads us to a whole bunch of other dragon ogres so that we can justify abandoning our mission to follow it. If it's doing nothing of importance though then our report is going to result in us saying we saw something interesting so decided to abandon the mission we were supposed to follow to do what we wanted instead.
Ignoring it and scouting the port is the smarter and safer option and the mission we're supposed to be doing. Let's not get distracted by the shiny.

It's not like we're going to leave it out of our report. Telling the dwarfs about the dragon ogre is important but the port still needs to be scouted. The idea that this is not our mission is silly. Nooooo, we're not responsible for monster attacks, that's silly.Exactly. If it decides to range back around and eat a few dozen of our rangers or something and we don't do anything about it, that's on us.
