Even if he personally tolerates wizards (unlikely based on everything we have seen) his troops won't. These are the die hard traditionalists that quit Stirland because the EC introduced guns to the army. (Notably the Empire has had gunpowder a lot longer than it has had Wizards.) At best he would be undermining his position by working with us.I didn't miss it. You're making broad assumptions.
There's no suggestion that the stereotype applies to him. Finding out if it does is part of the entire point of getting to know him. Either way we'll know where we stand and if there's a chance work together later on.
I was under the impression we were a Grey Wizard and former spymaster. Surely we have more options for investigating what a journymanling did to alienate his compatriot than walking up and asking.Since this isn't a Bioware RPG, hammering the dialogue tree until something happens is more likely to alienate people than lead to harmony.
Not nearly enough privacy in an army on the march. We brought it to keep it safe, not to read it.@BoneyM
Too tumultuous a time to look at the Liber Mortis (privately)?

Recall that he has no formal authority, he is just the guy that stepped up when no other leader presented themselves.

That explains how people could unsheath them so easily. I thought they had to hunch over or something.A scabbard as a staff, a long hollow place to store shadow/Bless Weapon fog does seem apropros for Mathilde.
But a greatsword scabbard looks like this:
Options like walking up and asking and then mindholing afterwards?I was under the impression we were a Grey Wizard and former spymaster. Surely we have more options for investigating what a journymanling did to alienate his compatriot than walking up and asking.
FYI the bolts are on wait since we aren't really facing anything thats worth poisoned bolts yet. The goblins die just fine to normal bolts, so until we start facing bosses they aren't hugely important.(OOC: Assisting the Rangers is kinda our specialty with our shadow magic, Volunteer to scout makes sense bc of our OP magicks and our superhorse, and the envenomed bolts bc I've been pushing for these for FOREVER and it needs to be done!)
Keeping in mind on rep alone, our reputation outside of forces we directly commanded is wary fear. They are in favor of us being here, because we're going to be mowing down their enemies, but the typical Stirlander's reaction to magic is to stay far away in case it's a necromancer(and no, most people can't tell the difference between Magic and Bad Magic). That's entirely unrelated to us being a wizard though. Plus he seems more concerned about staying out of our bad books in that passage more than anything else.
Do you mean plenty?[X] Marksman Codrin Petrescu
[X] Introduce him to the dwarven smiths so he can try to convince them to teach him.
[X] Work with them to see if your eggs can be encouraged to hatch.
We done penalty of campaign contribution already so can we just talk to our countryman instead of dwarves already!
Whoops yeah, thanks I just find it annoying that we don't with people from our provinces, sure we have rep but they could come away with a better impression.
@BoneyM Just to clarify, is this just testing whether they're still sufficiently alive to be hatched? Or trying to hatch a bunch of baby-somethings in the middle of a military campaign?[ ] Work with them to see if your eggs can be encouraged to hatch.
