[X] Speak as Loremaster Weber. In this meeting you are an official of a foreign state, not a local college-affiliated wizard.
I can't help but liking this write-in.

We must spar!

Panoramia: It's not exactly work, but let's talk work. People enjoy it when you take interest in what they enjoy doing.
[X] Though you rarely think of those days, you did grow up on a farm and know something of the soil. Spend time with her as she goes about her work.

[X] Conceal matters you know the Dwarves would prefer you conceal
[X] You've got a puppy, he's got several. Easy. Spend time with him as your pup plays with his.
[X] Panoramia currently calls a small cottage somewhere in the Eastern Valley home, help her expand it into a proper tower.

A couple of questions @BoneyM

I suppose that getting a magic item with Eyes of Truth or Breach the Unknown would cause the same effect that one with Speed of Light (Dhar burning inside o Mathilde's cranium) or it would be possible to put the enchantment in something external that Mathilde can look into to activate the spell (like a mirror, some specs, or a magnifying glass) without boiling her brain?

No. The spell creates knowledge and dumps it into a thinking brain. Having it instead interpret that information into a visual representation without a thinking brain being involved would be extremely difficult.

IIRC you said that the consequences fir Mathilde to use an talisman with Birona's Timewarp would be much worse than using Speed Of Light... How much worse can it be than melting the brain or blowing up the head?

Try it and find out.

How are things going with our Spider Silk, how long until K8P can start selling it to the rest of the world?

Mathilde isn't involved with that and doesn't have a timeline for it. She'll hear about it when it begins.

Yeah, we're good, but we're not Dragomas good. Even if having a friendly Supreme Matriarch would be convenient.

We should have told Heidi to ask again in a decade or so.

Because lets face it, We're going to overtake dragomas assuming we survive long enough.

The Empire expects that the High King would go through the Emperor rather than deal directly with individual Elector Counts, so they return the courtesy.
They kinda don't though, as was seen during and after the K8P Expedition.

Our vote here might have a chance to shift Imperial dealings with the Karaz Ankor. If Altdorf deals with each Hold on a case-by-case basis that could make the alliance a lot more efficient and effective, at the cost of giving future-Deiters ways of manipulating the Dwarfs against one another.
Is this solely because Mandred is too young for that, or does the Empire's child-rearing culture equate this to child-abuse as it would be categorized in real life?

-[X] Advise caution

A question that started out as "how loyal is Mathilde to the empire" that became "how much does Mathilde trust the empire".

This entire depressing line of thought has made me really want to dip our toes back into the empire. If only because of the stark realization of how much broken shit there is.

It's made even more cutting by how cozy weve been getting at K8P.

She's a Wizard, isn't she?
The Celestials are stargazers and fortune-tellers.
The Greys are diplomats and work completely unseen.
The Brights are unthinking fire dispensers.
The Amethysts are ascetics.
The Golds are cold and analytical.
And the Jade Wizards live in towers.
/sarcasm

Seems odd for Mathilde to make such an assumption so soon after pointing out the flaws of stereotyping.

Hmm, the description of his clothing reads like 'dwarf nouveau rich', which is not the style I would've expected from him.
A few possibilities:
  • It's a subtle dig at his father.
  • He spend so much time as a ranger that he doesn't know better
  • His fathers court is just kinda shit and he's taking his cues from them
  • Karak Eight Peaks is suprisingly Old Hold in this regard due to Kragg, Belegar (who grew up in the everpeaks) and Kazik
  • I'm just wrong
Also another interesting note: it's also a bit of characterization of Mathilde, that she notices all this.

In terms of writing, it's a pretty clear example of "Yeah, Mathilde knows Dwarf stuff."

Because, well, she knows enough Dwarf stuff that she can examine and notice Dwarf fashion just from seeing it.

That... doesn't have anything to do with "What conclusions do we draw from this observation?", as it is instead a comment on the writing and story itself, but. Since we were talking about Ulthar's fashion as a topic anyway, I figured I'd give voice to this thing. Well, we all noticed this of course; that Mathilde noticed this stuff. But it's still neat to comment on?

FITE ME, NERD

Hey, so uh, if you want your tower to have an extensive basement too, I know some short hairy guys who are really into that sort of thing... just saying, I know it's not traditional tower-ing, but you know... it could happen, if, uh, if it's what you want...

We get sweaty and worked up, he gets sweaty and worked up.... seems like a good date. Better than a religious festivity at least

Working out with Johann.... we get to ogle him, but he doesn't get to ogle us.
Edit: Or notice us ogling...
Why not? If we are both working out I expect that we will both have oppertunities to oggle.

I honestly like all the Johann options. I'm paralyzed with choice!

The tower option is very presumptuous and the resteraunt seems like a second romance vote thing to me.

I've no problems with a cozy start. More romantic dates (or more Wizard dates) can wait until we've cleared the basic question of "would you even theoretically be interested in a relationship?"

[X] Do not speak of explicit dwarven secrets; and concerning matters that are "just" sensitive, limit your report to the observations that do not require personal confidence of high-positioned dwarven allies to infer.
