how does the general thread population feel about use offering our services to the new intrigue advisor

not interested. I don't want to be a subordinate to our old position. If he needs magic he has the right by law to call us in to assist. We've already been turned down by the count on keeping in touch.

I want to talk to the piety advisor to make certain his restored faith and our loss of faith doesn't damage the personal relationship we were starting to form.

Clear the air before we leave

Maybe admit that we lost what little faith we had in sigmer (its not like we ever had much) and asking how he kept his. It will be painful but I think it will be needed if we don't want our new trait to get in the way of things.

and then I want to go do something that involves journying. Currently that is looking up the dwarves for volunteering but it could be anything that gets us out and about for one more trip before we get promoted.

Edit no mind holing the priests our house is a shrine to their god do you honestly think their going to do anything other then pray there.

And I believe that it would be beneficial to at the very least make the attempt. Also there is a difference between being unwilling to ask for her and being willing to accept an offer for help.

There exists plenty of face-less witch hunters and their minions, but we only have 1 Mathilde Weber. Stirland for all intent and purpose can work on their own problems on their own dime and time. Should Stirland risk falling, there's always the Emperor and Grand Hat.

You can take it as granted that the reward would be of comparable value to the ring, but the entire point of the mystery box option is that it is a mystery. Perhaps they'll make you a new magical artifact, perhaps they'll owe you an enormous favour to be called in at a later date, perhaps it will negate some favour that the Grey College owed the Bright and you'll get something from them instead. If the option is chosen I'll generate a handful of possible options and roll for it on the spot.

Eh... alright, even if the mystery box isn't as directly as useful as fireballs, it's still a net positive. And you can't use the ring without wearing it, meaning people are likely to know we have it, so better to turn it in now than later.

We can get two revolvers, so we should maximise the extra firepower by doubling it.

Wrong formatting on the vote. This just votes for the same choice twice.

And again, we have offered our help with the letter we sent to the new Count. And knowing that her and that witch hunter are presumed close, there is absolutely no way he didnt read it before giving to the young Van Hal.

We didnt get a reply. Wilhelmina is easily accessible to pass the letter on to. Just dont want Mathilde to seem like she is BEGGING for work.

What do we know about the Witch Hunter who replaced us? Like general attitude, province of origin, Hat sizes and the weapons he carries around.

By name and accent, a northern Ostlander; combined with Abelhelm's taste in brandy you suspect that's where his children were holed up. He's equally suspicious of damn near everyone and seems to be really jumpy to suddenly find himself on the front line of the whole Sylvania business. He favours a falchion.

I do like the idea of seeing what's up with Kasmir. That being said we don't actually know if he is keeping to Sigmar, maybe he swapped to Shallya which is why he's now feeling better.

@BoneyM We know Kasmir has been helping people and is feeling better about his faith, but is his faith still with Sigmar? And if so can we chat with him to see how he managed to regain his faith?

You can spend time with him to find out in the coming turn, either with your spare time or with a full action.

@BoneyM, I'm sorry if it was already asked, but can spell masteries be taught? While shadowsteed is pretty niche thing, Blessed Weapon is useful and not wind-specific. A technique to cast it automatically, without miscast chance and even conscious effort would be pretty useful for the Colleges. If it can be taught, then the next question is - does such teaching require face-to-face meetings or will we be able to write a brochure on it?

No, they can't. They're finding a way that the spell meshes with you and your understanding of magic, so they're completely personal. If you took an apprentice and taught them your view of magic and prevented them from developing any of their own, then it's possible, but far from guaranteed, that they could learn your Masteries... but wouldn't be able to manifest any of their own.

Given illegal magic-users and their ilk seem to be a newfound focus of the old spy network and the new watch - has our name been brought up at all in the Councils or briefings?

Not saying they might end up thinking we're bad news and want to preemptively solve a problem, buuuut...

So just to sound out the idea, how does the general thread population feel about use offering our services to the new intrigue adviser. At the very least it reaffirms how loyal we are to Stirland and our willingness to help, plus if he does accept then we can more easily keep our ear to the ground in regards to what the countess is doing and maybe even open up the possibility of getting past her fear of magic so that we can make her into a proper ally.
Unless people find it within themselves to go for Dwarf Prospecting on our lands, I find myself inclined to just skip town altogether.

Karak Eight Peaks sounds like a nice vacation.

And even if we stayed, I think we have better things to do with our time.

We really shouldn't mindhole the priests of Ranald. If there is any honor amongst thieves in this setting then it's with them.

just sack over the head should be good enough as a security precaution people and our freind ranald priests could recommend someone we havent met yet and then mindholing them aswell is a very logical option ....

I wouldnt mind getting magister next turn and then going karak eightpeaks for abit to acquire truly crazy rep with dwarves.

It took forever in canon but was pretty succesful but not completly if i got my facts right.

Changing the vote. The image of Mathilde on a shadow horse with twin revolvers in hands is too cool to ignore.
