Guys, I just realized. We shouldn't give her our network. After all, she seems to be a STUPID zealot, and we forged our network out of all sorts of low types, rogues, thieves, and those with "questionable" worship. Give her the unredacted report and our network, and we'll be painting a target on our own guys' backs.

I don't find your point particularly worrying. We have a lot of retired army vets there too, and she doesn't like wizards, not low-lifes.

She simply won't care.

@BoneyM how valid is this concern?

Updated my Omake End of an Era, now with a reworded Wilhelmina bit. Let me know if this works better for what people imagined Wilhelmina's relationship with Mathilde was like.

It seems a rather large and ludicrous weapon for a tiny Wizard to use... Repeater Handgun
... Really? You worry about Mathilde swinging an oversized weapon about?

Dude, not putting the rifle in costs votes to the option without nitrite factory. Simple as that. If you don't particularly care about it, know many people do. Costs you nothing to add it in.

Also, IIRC, it's a Hochland rifle.

[X] Plan Be the Bigger Witch

I honestly can't remember what exactly those farmers/factory are even from, but I like the added note of Julia and not keeping the rifle, as his heir could get some use out of it.

I bet the train of thought was "Why would we have a trustable magic user in STIRLAND?". And then the GM rolled up the stuff, rolled the Spymaster (us) as a Wizard, and then rolled nat 100 for our usefullness, and laughed, and laughed at the playerbase.
DC 80: Be nice to the wizard: Roll: 10
Not only do you fire the witch immediately as your colleagues and mentors had advised you to do, you do it politely!.... you think. Evidently, however, you did something wrong, as the moment shes out the door, the Chancellor announces his resignation, effective immediately. His face, untainted as it is by magic and therefore trustworthy, is furious. He storms out the door after the witch. Odd, your father's letters had described him as an even tempered fellow. Once he's gone, the Steward hands in her resignation as well, though this was expected- her loyalty had always been to your father. All that left was the marshal, a horseman of some skill, and the architect from Talabecland- the priest has been missing for days, according to rumor. So the court wizard has been fired, now to find the spymistress. This "Mathilde" your father wrote so glowingly of must be around here somewhere....

We used on of our very limited, very rare dwarf favours to have them set up a refinery for nitrite. Which is obtained from poop, which we the used to supplement the Watch's income.

His heir can buy a rifle if she wants.

The point is that this was Abelhelm's. And for Mathilde, that counts.

That it is repeater sniper rifle of masterful quality doesn't hurt, either.

Gong farmers collect human waste, turned into Niter at the Saltpeter/Niter factory we set up last turn.

Everybody! We need to keep that gun!
Why!? As a memento? I want to keep the hat and brandy flask, both much more personal items. To use? I don't want to spend more time training more weapons. We've got magic snake juice boxes, Shyish swords, and necromantic tomes to investigate. Spells to study. Intrigue to practise. Fog of War (battle) magic to invent. Magister to attain. Enchantment? to practise. Mines and fortified mansions to set up. Plenty to be going on with.

Guys, seriously. She's got bad judgement, is obviously a zealot, and most of our people are RANALD worshippers!

Dude, we voted for a broad strokes report. It will probably just say that we established a network and maybe list what areas we have covered. It's not going to go into in-depth detail about each individual member. Even if we did a comprehensive report I doubt we would have included that level of detail.

You realize through your warring thoughts that someone's calling out to you, and find Anton running up behind you. For an instant you think that the girl's changed her mind and sent him as a runner, but Anton catches his breath after a moment. "I resigned," he says, outrage warring with exhaustion in his voice - it's barely a minute from the castle, he needs to work on his fitness - "I'll not be having with that."

You smile at him, remembering what you found so long ago while rifling through his things: the letters written in secret to his aunt in the Jade College, long since slain in the service of the Empire. "Thank you," you say simply, and the two of you walk down the road from Eagle Castleinto the town of Wurtbad.
Whatever path we might take, at least we will have Wilhemina and Anton as friends.
