I am complete down for Ranald in Kislev. We'd probably need more work though than just this (as we gotta make it up to the Widow, not the ruler, I think), but I'm liking High Priest of Ranald in Kislev as our next (post Elfcation) job. There's a lot of benefit from doing this, I think. Helping Kislev would be huge, first of all. And that's what we are likely to be doing for most of it, sorta like being loremaster at K8P. My guess is that it might be our official role, while our unofficial role is Kislev Spymaster if Boris doesn't have one (we already know his greatest secret, why not?). This way we could carefully prep Sylvania so that when the Everchosen comes thundering down Through Kislev, he doesn't have a fifth column already in Kislev.

Speaking personally, I'm not interested in becoming a priest of Ranald; aside from the fact I like Mathilde and Ranald's current more informal relationship, I like Mathilde as a LM first and foremost. Becoming Ranald's high priestess would change that- in terms of priorities and which aspects of her get the most focus, at least to me Mathilde would go from being a Grey LM first and Ranald devotee second, to a Ranald devotee first and Grey LM second.

I... don't want to do that to Boris.

I think it'd be pretty fun for an arc! Probably wouldn't want to to stick with it forever, though.

For something I wrote in like 20 min after reading the latest update? Not that. Thank you though, I am super happy it was meaningful to so many people.

Freedom from the tyranny was exactly what he was planning to do with his civil war.

I think he will understand that it is for the best.

It may have been 'necessary' due to Boris feeling they should start preparing immediately for Chaos, and sure, I'd hope that the Protector side of Ranald would love reforms that would improve the lives of the general populace under Boris, but that doesn't mean every average or incompetent ruler is a tyrant that people need to be freed from.

I'm sure Boris would do it if we asked, but... I'm just saying, I personally would find it icky.

Mathilde's consciousness being this forum.
Mathilde's outside reaction: "if you want to be a Tsar only interested in battles, you better be ready for battle... Against Magister Lord, trying to assassinate you."

I really can't argue against that.

I mean... it's entirely possible, maybe even likely, that Boris will be more tyrannical than his father out of his desire to prepare Kislev as quickly and thoroughly as possible.

I'm wholeheartedly against trying to ask Boris to improve Ranald's influence in Kislev. If it was for any other favor or any other god, then I'd be ambivalent, but even MY autistic ass can see how horrible it'd come off.

How about we just ask Boris to favor the K8P Gunnery College or Anton's gun manufacturing company when it comes to sourcing the weapons that he will no double be ordering in bulk in order to modernize the Kislev military?
