I didn't think it would have results that fast
The thing about being Teclis is that being Teclis means being a magical genius on such a scale that you can body fucking Malekith while you're still the elf version of a sickly teenager juicing on magical steroids just to stand up. If it was anyone else, we'd probably have gone unnoticed quite significantly longer.

Shows something we weren't thinking about though, if the Eonir could detect K8-Peaks why couldn't the High Elves? Especially since they'd be heavily monitoring the Network since their island and the Vortex both need it.

So the big increase was probably them picking up K8, if the Eonir could, then the Asur could too.

Petition to call the Jade Impluvial Trio Lauritz, Curlix, and Moerania?

I hope y'all are happy, your arguments about Ulthuan Noticing the project penetrated into the story and now we've got Elf Wizard Dad inbound.

Of course it's the green journeymen that actually get spotted. Grey Lords, Runelords, and Lord Magisters huddling for years on this, and the thing that the elves actually pick up on is the lowrank dorks doing the grunt work.

Good cadence in the rituals though. Once a day? Solid.

Ok! So this tells us several things.
  1. The Asur do in fact have ways of monitoring the exact flow of energy coming in from the Empire, probably an entire team to oversee it.
  2. The Journeyman trio is hard at work - the Water Spirit tributary only takes three days to do, so at three Journeymen that explains the observed once-a-day increase. Them being right next to Sylvania probably helps too.
  3. We can actually call Teclis dad without it being weird.

The ritual takes 2 days and there's 3 of 'em, so one rests, one starts, and one finishes each day. They must each have a water spirit to soul-mash into the ground like a seed dibber cajole.

Actualy could we hire Qrech, take actions with him as WEB-MAT while embezzling his salary.

...why would we bother embezzling Qrech's salary rather than turning it into a discretionary fund for anything he'd like to purchase that we don't see a need to restrict him from? If he wants to buy some Halfling meals or import rare wood to carve or get a pet, I see no reason to prevent that.

Valaya was definitely pegging one of her husbands...

I was not expecting to come back to this and I'm very glad I wasn't drinking anything at the time.

Also: Holy shit, Teclis has noticed. I was not expecting the rollout to happen that fast, or them to be that on the ball about measurements - which, in hindsight, seems a bit silly; just because the Empire doesn't have a way to finely measure magic that I know of (yet) doesn't mean that the Asur don't.

I guess this makes not letting them know yet a bit, uh, redundant. But also, it seems to be about the best... Well, okay, Teclis is historically really bad at diplomacy, so maybe the best... way possible for them to find out, so I'm okay with this.

Nope:
This is no swelling of magical energies in the area, no happenstance reconnection of a temporarily disconnected branch of the network.
He ruled out reconnected Nexuses, this is the slow and steady increase of tributaries.

But there's also the work of finding a good location and moving there, which eats hours. So they are getting this done almost as fast as theoretically possible, which I think deserves headpats.

Also, I wonder who Teclis is pissing off on our behalf?

From the looks of things, he's going to smug at people. Him supporting us will help politically, though I imagine he's going to take a lot of unnecessary pleasure in tweaking noses. Which isn't optimal, but eh. He deserves it.

I'm going to guess that Teclis is about to make an argument to some people that, as the Empire/Colleges have clearly already figured out how to add to the Waystone network, it would only be responsible to give them enough information to do so safely.

So as to who he's pissing off- many, many people.
