German pronunciation would put it closer to "Ma-TIL-da", wouldn't it?
Yeah, that's always been my view of it. It helps that I've heard that name dozens of times before. There's even a famous movie with that name, and one of the guns in Resident Evil 4 is called that. Plenty of reference. I never heard Eike before though.

I was reading Andy Law's guide to dating in the Empire (it's about calendars unfortunately), and while it doesn't really give any new information per se and only really serves as an entertaining read for those who don't know the Warhammer calendar, it did give confirmation that the Warhammer sun is called Soll. Except it has that umlaut on the O that I can't be bothered to type out because I don't have it on my keyboard.

The TL;DR is that the Warhammer world has 400 days in a year, 12 months, 32-33 days a month, and 6 intercalary days outside the months that mark solstices and particularly special occasions, that there are two moons Morrslieb and Mannslieb, that Mannslieb has 25 day cycles while Morrslieb has an erratic pattern with the only consistency being Hexenstag and Geheministag always having a full moon, and that the Empire has 8 day weeks.

And oh, everything is bigger in Warhammer, including the Suns, moons and the planets. I do recommend reading it. Andy Law is the guy who invented the Warhammer cosmology after all, and I like his writing.

Have we ever gotten confirmation on how Eike's name is pronounced? Is it Eike like Speak without the Sp, or is it like Ike, Son of Greil, from the hit game Fire Emblem:Radiant Dawn/Path of Radiance?

Or is the pronounciation even more wild than that.
I'm polish so I read both e as ɛ. Resulting in something like ey-keh?

I personally pronounce it Ike, the E being silent.

I just say Eike as Eike. All of you with silly languages that don´t pronounce as they are written smh.

This is almost certainly wrong way to pronounce it however

Assuming German pronunciation because the Empire is faux-German, that's... I was gonna say correct, but then I remembered that ei is a special combination and pronounced something like ai. This is How Things Should Be, but also kind of stupid, so sorry about that.

I've been pronouncing "Eike" as rhyming with speak/bleak/shriek, but I'm also dyspraxic and have a mild speech impediment, and my pronunciations should not be trusted under any circumstance.

It's a miracle I can pronounce my own name, some days.

Nerdasaurus Rex is a difficult name :V

Ugh, don't even get me started. "Oh, I'll go for a cute reference to both dinosaurs and my main character trait, that'll be a fun name. Wait, is it Nerdasaurus, Nerdsaurus, Nerdarus, Nerdusurus, Nerdasurururus... how do you spell this again?"

It also doesn't help that my internal monologue has, for a while now, been referring to myself by my Final Fantasy 14 Character's name, and I keep getting confused as to who I am.

Which is probably not a good sign and an indicator that I should probably play something else for a bit.

I've noted that sometimes there is a certain type of freedom in immersing yourself in a different identity. I always think of myself as Codex when I'm online, not [REDACTED]. It helps create a degree of separation and makes me happier. I can guarantee you I'm not the same in person as I am here, and that's fine and dandy for me. My sibling goes by different names too, from Mirage to Raven to their given name. I've seen people go by multiple names before too. It's always enlightening to experiment with your identity.

Weirdly enough, I'm actually in the process of becoming Glau offline; the user name here was one of a number of tests to see how I felt about it.

I don't know about the name, but I do sort of internalize my avatar as my own face?

Probably why I never change it.

"Pickle" is what many people call me in real life, including my fiancée (my wedding website has in its FAQ an entry explaining that some people will be calling me by my legal name and some people will be calling me Pickle and guests should just roll with it), and my avatar is art that was done of me as part of a Kickstarter reward for a tarot deck. Granted, that was ten years ago, and 33-year-old Pickle looks somewhat different than 23-year-old Pickle did. I have shoulder-length hair now, for starters (grew it out at the start of the pandemic while I was staying with my parents to help keep them safe, swore a solemn vow not to cut it until I could be reunited with my love, upon being reunited she said "I like this, you should keep growing it," so I did).

Point is, if you think of me as Pickle and your mental image for me is my avatar, you're on equal footing with, like, a lot of my friends.

EDIT: I'm actually going to post the description of the card I am the art for because, well, you'll see:
The New Tarot Visual Guide said:
The Two of Tomes, sometimes called "Knowledge," represents the connection between our
internal thoughtscapes and the truths of the outside world. Our own ideas and inspirations can be wildly
off-base if we don't verify them against reality, and extant empirical facts are useless unless we have
some mechanism for internalizing them. But once we learn how to bridge our minds to the information
that waits for us out in the universe…the spark of creativity can be ignited, and the journey to glory
begins in earnest. The "aha" moment can feel a little grandiose, but there's a reason for that. Seen in a
reading, this card likely indicates that you should go seek out knowledge – to inspire you, or perhaps to
show you the limits and flaws in your current thinking. It may also indicate that you possess knowledge
that will be of use to others.
That's right, kids, I am the mystical incarnation of [citation needed].
