Eh... if we recruit young enough I doubt it will matter. People will not really remember the kids they used to be friends with when they were 10 or something, what the Empire considers a child. Even when they do remember they will not be that fond of them, it's more of an 'oh, hey it's that guy' rather than 'good to see you again blood brother of the great cookie heist'.
People enter the trades at 10-12 years. If we're expecting them to be usefully literate I'm expecting we're recruiting mid-teens as they 'graduate' from the orphanages, at the time when they'd otherwise we entering a trade. These will probably be people just becoming young adults, not small children. Not least because we don't have the infrastructure to look after children.
Otherwise we'd have to establish our own giant orphanage.
Angry hussite clamoring.(also it's a big subject that's not at all related to the quest, but historically there was a lot of debate within the Christian faiths over whether the Bible was something for everyone to read or whether it was only for the clergy, and at points it was a crime punishable by death to translate the Bible from Greek or Latin into a 'vulgar tongue')
Give them my birthday wishes too please, even if it is too late!@Boney thank you for the wonderful update. Lots of little character tidbits that I find honestly charming. We don't get to see Mathilde and the boys bantering that often, but I appreciate getting a look at the character interactions between them.
There are a ton of references and mentions of certain canonical aspects of Reikland and lots of geographical tidbits that I'd be interested in diving into, but today is my sibling Raven's birthday. I'm gonna be spending most of it with them. If any of you feel so inclined I'd be happy to show them your birthday wishes.
Major storm for Azyr. Maybe everyone who gets too close to Hysh becomes free of desire (and hence 'pure') and then starves to death? Depends on how you look at it really. Depends on how you look at any of them.
Well, he only wanted to be Protestant to get an annulment and be rich. He didn't really care about the theology (and actually got commended by the Pope for writing a treatise defending Catholicism).Henry VIII, despite founding the protestant Anglican Church, despised the idea of an English Bible, and tried to suppress it as long as possible. He allegedly flew into a rage one Christmas when a young Princess Elizabeth gifted him a bible she'd personally spent a year translating into English.
(of course, this is the same guy who flew into a rage when he disguised himself as Robin Hood as a prank and his new german wife didn't understand the reference)
Edit: but I'm getting very off topic now.
Orphans good.

I think the external action may be by elves form Ulthuan who are visiting as delegates to counter the druichi.
Yeah, kislev probably has some interesting stuff. Learning about their gods if nothing else. As for bretonnia... well, there's probably some trashy Arthurian romances Mathilde can add to her collection. At the moment we need better Bretonnian contacts (as that's the only other language we can read, barring Elves)
Would be good to learn Kislevarin and make inroads there.
